Wie schlimm ist die Lage? So schlimm:France has banned ... "IndyWatch Feed Europe"

Wie schlimm ist die Lage? So schlimm:

France has banned the sale, possession and transport of fireworks over the Bastille Day weekend next week amid fears of renewed riots.

Wisst ihr noch, der nPA? Der neue Personalausweis? ... "IndyWatch Feed Europe"

Nutzungsmglichkeiten!!1!

Ach. Ach was.

As Retailers Adopt AI, One Things Unchanged: The Value Of Location "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

As customers browse and shop in-person and online, AI is humming behind the scenes looking for the relevant connections between bits of information. Already, its helped retailers make potentially millions of decisions to better manage inventory, understand shoppers, and price their products and services.

And its just getting started. Able to parse an amount of data no human could, AI has the potential to detect disruptions or product demand earlier, allowing retailers to avoid missed opportunities. Location, as always, remains vital to that undertaking. The most successful retail operation gives the customer what they want when and where they want it at a price point most profitable for the seller.

Pollution: Fishermen In Burutu Community Raise Alarm Over Gas Well Leakage "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

GAS WELL LEAKAGE

LAGOS JULY 10TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Fishermen at Odimodi community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have sent a Save Our Souls (SOS) appeal to the Environmental Rights Action/ Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) over the gas leakage from the  Bemobebe-aka  Gas Well.

This is even as ERA/FoEN in a statement signed by Communication Officer,  Elvira Jordan on Thursday called on Agip to stop the leakage urging the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) to conduct an assessment of the level of air pollution in the area for immediate clean up.

The CSOs also recommend that a medical team be deployed to Odimodi, to examine the health status of residents after being exposed to such pollution.

ERA/FoEN received a Save Our Souls (SOS) from the community on the 5th of July, 2023, lamenting over a gas leakage from Bemobebe-aka Gas Facility belonging to Agip, which has been nonoperational for some time.

The Bemobebe-aka gas well is located at the outskirts of Odimodi Community; a route that is usually used by fishermen to carry out their fishing activities, and farmers to access their farm lands.

The environment around the gas leakage is very toxic and highly polluted. The people of Odimodi are currently at risk of facing severe health implications from inhaling the gas that has circulated around the air space of Odimodi, coupled with the dangers of a fire outbreak, as gas is highly flammable, the statement reads in part.

According to the statement, a fisherman, Brakemi Ndoro who first spotted and reported the leak to the leadership of the community said the leak was discovered about three months ago and is suspected to be from a broken valve from the gas plant.

The Chairman of Odimodi Community, Solomon Gbegha revealed to ERA/FoEN that the leak was reported to the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA), followed by a joint inspection of the leakage by the community representatives and NOSDRA on the 26th of June 2023.

According to the chairman, no other efforts have been made to shut the leak after the inspection. He added that the people of Odimodi are now living in fear, as they have been instructed to stay clear of the area until it has been turned off.

Also, lending her voice o...

Institucionalidad resquebrajada "IndyWatch Feed Noramerica"

Gas-Powered Fly Swatter Slightly Over-Engineered "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Any good flyswatter ought to be able to break through a hefty piece of wood. At least, that is how [Finn] explains the design philosophy behind this enormous, overpowered flyswatter. Although we dont know if everyone needs as robust a machine as this to deal with a minor annoyance like a house fly, we can certainly appreciate the over-engineered, extremely powerful (and dangerous) machine that can swat flies but also break through a two-by-four with ease.

The build comes to us in two parts, with the first part documenting the construction of some of the parts of the flyswatter, including the piston-driven gas cylinder. As a bit of a tangent, [Finn] first tests this part by using it to shoot lemons at pieces of plywood. After this initial testing of the gas cylinder, a cam mechanism is installed on the top, and the gas cylinder is slightly modified to pull on a piece of Dyneema rope attached to the cam. At the other end of the rope is a long metal lever with the flyswatter on the end, in this case, made out of a sheet of laser-cut plate steel.

With the addition of a few safety features, like a spring-assisted bumper to keep the flyswatter from swinging too far and hitting its operator, the machine is ready...

Celebrating 33 Years of EFF "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Patience is a virtue. And so is tenacity.

We are elated to celebrate the Electronic Frontier Foundations 33rd anniversary today. EFF has officially been working toward internet freedom longer than many people have been online. I'm grateful to EFF's supporters for ensuring that digital rights remain important and vital, even as the internet itself becomes a crucial yet often overlooked fact of life for most.

What would the world be without any privacy or free expression online? You can see examples of that dark dimension in the battles we continue to fight every day: the rules that keep you from controlling the services you use and devices you own; corporate policies that censor the powerless; rampant data collection by both companies and governments; and laws that would break encryption.

Thats why EFF works so carefully to nurture a web that puts civil liberties and human rights at its center. Its with great pride that EFF takes on court and legislative battles that may last years. But simultaneously, our team works onand winsimmediate policy and legal fights while we develop rights-enhancing technologies to bridge the gap. Were committed to defending your digital freedom for as long as technology changes and grows. With support from people like you, were not going anywhere.

TENDING THE DIGITAL GARDEN

EFFs membership drive for this summer touches on the ways we tend the internet like a digital garden. Its an apt metaphor because let me assure you: we get our hands dirty every day to weed out threats for your rights online. Through July 20, you can be an EFF member for just $20, and receive two limited-edition gifts as a special thanks.

Together we till the hard ground, plant the ideas, nurture the discussions, and nourish the movement we know today. Its hard and sometimes slow work to grow the law, international po...

Extremist Ideology in Europe: Leave Everyone Behind (Except Us) "IndyWatch Feed War"

Human Wrongs Watch

MADRID, Jul 10 2023 (IPS)* A quick glance at the current European political map would clearly show how far the extremist ideology has been installed in European countries those who still wave the French Revolutions flag of Libert, Egalit, Fraternit.

According to the Napoleonic French Revolutions three pillars, Liberty means freedom for an individual to do what he/she wants to do without harming others Liberty. Equality means equal opportunity to all the citizens irrespective of their caste, religion, race, gender.

Fraternity means an environment of brotherhood among the citizens of a nation.

Not true that all humans are equal

These concepts have also been clearly reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the actual umbrella of all the other international laws and agreements, such as the 2030 Agenda, which was adopted in 2015 by all countries -including the richest ones, those who now violate their own principles.

Instead, the extremist ideology promoted by Europes right and far-right politicians is pushing either openly or surreptitiously for the suppression of many of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established in the worldwide adopted 2030 Agenda under the principle:Leave No One Behind...

RomCom RAT attackers target groups supporting NATO membership of Ukraine "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Threat actors are targeting NATO and groups supporting Ukraine in a spear-phishing campaign distributing the RomCom RAT.

On July 4, the BlackBerry Threat Research and Intelligence team uncovered a spear phishing campaign aimed at an organization supporting Ukraine abroad.

The researchers discovered two lure documents submitted from an IP address in Hungary, both targeting upcoming NATO Summit guests who are providing support to Ukraine.

The lure documents identified by BlackBerry impersonate Ukrainian World Congress, a legitimate non-profit, (Overview_of_UWCs_UkraineInNATO_campaign.docx) appear as a letter declaring support to the Ukrainian government for the inclusion to the NATO alliance (Letter_NATO_Summit_Vilnius_2023_ENG(1).docx).

The experts attributed the attacks to a threat actor known as RomCom (aka Tropical Scorpius and UNC2596) based on tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), code similarity, and attack infrastructure.

The upcoming NATO Summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12, during the event, it will be discussed the possible future membership in the alliance of Ukraine.

Threat actors aimed at engaging the victims into clicking on a specially crafted replica of the Ukrainian World Congress website.

The attackers used typosquatting techniques to masquerade the fake website with a .info suffix and make it look legitimate.

Stop Biden from Sending Cluster Bombs to Ukraine "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Medea Benjamin and Marcy Winograd, World BEYOND War, July 10, 2023

President Biden may have crossed a new red line for the Democratic Party when he announced he would send banned cluster munitions to shore up Ukraines slow counter-offensive against Russian troops.

On Friday, 19 House Democrats, led by Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal (D-WA-7), signed a letter to Biden warning that his decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine severely undermines our moral leadership.

This time its not just left-leaning activists in CODEPINK and the Peace in Ukraine Coalition who recoil in horror at Bidens escalation in Ukraine, but congressional Democrats who previously stood by their President. These are the same Democrats who voted to approve over $100 billion in Ukraine spending, an estimated half for weapons and military assistance for which there is no accountability.

NHTSA Reminds Tesla to Cough Up Data for Autopilot Probe "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

NHTSA reminds Tesla to cough up data for Autopilot probe:

An investigation by America's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) into the safety of Tesla Autopilot has led to a threat of fines if Elon Musk's electric car company doesn't hand over the data requested.

If Tesla doesn't comply with the order in the NHTSA's July 3 letter [PDF], the agency said it could issue fines and penalties that could reach as high as $26,315 per violation per day capping out at $131.5 million.

That's not to suggest that Tesla has been avoiding giving US highway regulators the data they've asked for. Documents from the investigation indicate Tesla has turned over information several times already. The NHTSA told The Register that fine warnings are a standard part of such letters no matter which manufacturer is getting them.

Among the data requested by the NHTSA is a full rundown of information on vehicles included in the investigation, which is a lot: "All Tesla vehicles, model years 20142023, equipped with [Autopilot] at any time."

The NHTSA wants to know the software, firmware and hardware versions of each and every Tesla that falls into its investigative purview, whether the vehicles have a cabin camera installed, when the vehicle was admitted into Tesla's full-self-driving beta, and dates of the most recent software/firmware/hardware updates.

Civil society changes up campaign against jailed Kalimantan farmers "IndyWatch Feed Enviro"

JAKARTA, Indonesia The Kinjil Three languished in a jail cell an island away as demonstrators arrived outside a beige Jakarta office block and began distributing thousands of coins on the street. I came from Central Kalimantan to meet the BGA leadership, said Gusti Samudera, who traveled to Jakarta for the demonstration, referring to a plantation company in Central Kalimantan province. We demand the release of Aleng, Suwadi and Maju, who are accused of stealing palm fruit from their own land. In April, police and security officers from PT Bumitama Gunajaya Abadi (BGA) arrested Aleng Sugianto, 63, Suwadi, 40, and Maju 63, three farmers from Kinjil, a village in the West Kotawaringin district of Central Kalimantan province. The trio stand accused of stealing oil palm fruit worth around 2.9 million rupiah ($190), according to civil society groups. The three farmers now face a possible seven-year prison sentence. Theyve already spent two months behind bars on remand, unable to provide for their families. Following the arrests, local residents and civil society groups swiftly formed a campaign group to protest the farmers detention. Outraged by what they perceived to be a heavy-handed approach by law enforcement, members of the Justice for Kinjil Farmers Coalition decided to collect coins in Central Kalimantan, on the island of Borneo, to make their provocative statement. These areas included Badung, Bangli, Buleleng, Denpasar, Gianyar, Jembrana, Karangasem, Klungkung, and Tabanan. As a result of the severe weather, approximately 50 homes were damaged, and around 50 individuals were displaced from their residences, according to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet). The impact of the disaster extended to a total of 192 people, who were directly affected by the floods, landslides, and other related incidents.

New Tree Tech: AI, drones, satellites and sensors give reforestation a boost "IndyWatch Feed Enviro"

This story is the first article of a four-part Mongabay mini-series exploring the latest technological solutions to support reforestation later this week. Later this week, read Part Two, Part Three and Part Four. Plant a tree! has become a go-to, nature-based solution and green rallying cry, proclaimed in the mainstream media by climate-conscious celebrities, corporations and influencers eager to promote mega-planting projects. These reforestation efforts often bring out thousands of volunteers shovels in hand to abandoned cow pastures and other degraded landscapes to disperse millions of small saplings. Regardless of whether these initiatives are sincere attempts at conservation or cynical greenwashing exercises, tree planting is often portrayed as a silver bullet to mitigate climate change sometimes allowing polluting industries to continue with business as usual by counting proposed reforestation as carbon offsets. Tree planting is usually marketed for its carbon storage benefits and for mitigating rapidly growing greenhouse gas emissions. But these projects often have other valid and laudable environmental and social goals, such as regulating water cycles and preventing desertification, protecting against soil erosion, restoring biodiversity, and alleviating poverty. The oft-cited goal is to plant a trillion trees by 2050, which global NGO Plant-for-the-Planet says could capture up to a trillion metric tons of CO2. Likewise, the Bonn Challenge, launched in 2011 by global wildlife conservation authority the IUCN, has accrued pledges to restore 210 million hectares (519 million acres) from governments and NGOs. Reforestation in Brazil and many other forest-rich countries has even become keyThis article was originally published on Mongabay

Jennys Daily Drivers: Slackware 15 "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

As a recent emigre from the Ubuntu Linux distribution to Manjaro, Ive had the chance to survey the field as I chose a new distro, and I realised that theres a whole world of operating systems out there that we all know about, but which few of us really know. Hence this is the start of what I hope will be a long-running series, in which I try different operating systems in my everyday life as a Hackaday writer, to find out about them and then to see whether they can deliver on the promise of giving me a stable platform on which to earn a living.

For that they need an internet connection and a web browser up-to-date enough to author Hackaday stories, as well as a decent graphics package. In addition to using the OS every day though, Ill also be taking a look at what makes it different from all the others, what its direction and history is, and how user-friendly it is as an experience. Historical systems such as CP/M are probably out of the question as are extremely esoteric ones such as the famous TempleOS, but this still leaves plenty of choice for an operating system tourist. Join me then, as I try all the operating systems.

MISUNDERSTANDING MARX 6 "IndyWatch Feed Politics.eu"

This final article on this series of misunderstandings of Marx, by Marxists and other commentators who misunderstand aspects of Marxs research, concerns the idea that Marx proposed a definite economic mode of production to replace capitalism. It is a common mistake made by system designing ideologists on the left, particularly talented intellectual ones. Even among the most sincere of them, there is often a patronising wish to save working people from the trouble of having to work things out for themselves and from having to evalulate and change things when they get them wrong.

The elitist assumption, taken from the bourgeois and petite-bourgeois playbooks, is that the mass of ordinary people will need a blue-print produced by experts of various kinds, which they can then meticulously follow. The history of the Bolshevik leadership in the aftermath of the collapse of Russian Feudalism in 1917 demonstrates the results of this assumption. The Bolshevik Central Committee discussions and the setting up of the State Planning Commission and the numerous Organising Bureaus, indicate the elitist thinking involved. Furthermore, Lenin at the Extraordinary Seventh Congress of the Russian Communist Party convinced the delegates that what was needed in Russia was;

the transformation of the whole of the state economic mechanism into a single huge machine, into an economic organism that will work in such a way as to enable hundreds of millions of people to be guided by a single planunquestioning subordination to a single will is absolutely necessary. (Lenin. Complete Works. Volume 27 page 90/91 and 296.)

A single plan and worker subordination to a single will, that was the alienating essence of Bolshevik socialism. Years previous to this, Marx had written a particularly scathing analysis of an earlier programmatic blue-print influenced by a man (Ferdinand Lassalle) who also thought he knew best how guide working people. In an letter, later entitled Critique of The Gotha Programme, Marx, describes much of the content as; verbal rubbish; ideological nonsense; trash; and, a monstrous attack on the understanding. The whole document is well worth the read and he often returned to the theme. In a further example Marx notes the following;

Individual thinkers provide a critique of social antagonisms, and put forward fantastic solutions which the mass if workers can only accept, pass on and put into practice. By their very nature, the sects established by these initiators are abstentionists, strangers to all genuine action, (Marx . The First International and After. Penguin. Page 298.)

Turning from the role of individual thinkers to the role of elite created state organisations, Marx studied and...

Graph of IBMs Debt Helps Shed Light on the Red Hat Squeeze "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Lets see how IBM is doing at the bank by examining debt. The following are deficits and totals (running sums), not savings.

Long Term Debt ($53.826 billion in March):

IBM Long Term Debt 2010-2023 | IBM

Buying Red Hat was like paying for a trophy while burying the legacy parts (Kyndryl) and selling some to China (Lenovo). Notice how debt grew.

Total Liabilities ($111.964 billion in March):

IBM Total Liabilities 2010-2023 | IBM
These are liabilities. Squeezing Red Hat customers (RHEL/CentOS users) for money is classic IBM, being a company that despite many people forgetting it or not knowing it extorts clients through lawyers.

Summary: The media does not often talk about the debt of the dying giant. IBMs total liabilities for the quarter ending March 31, 2023 were $111.964 billion and long term debt for the same quarter was $53.826 billion. Like many other companies, IBM is buying back its own shares, faking stability and growth. IBM has not been a household name or even prominent in business for nearly two decades already, so its contemporary existence is largely speculative and the company still makes a lot of its revenue by (software) patent blackmail, using patents that last 20 years.

An accidental discovery could change the world "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Every now and then, revolutionary technology seems to spontaneously appear out of thin air and change our world. Dynamite, penicillin, X-ray machines, and even microwaves are all examples of such revolutionary accidental discoveries.

Well, this year we may have had yet another. However, this time it is set not only to revolutionise the way we live, but potentially save our planet from looming climate change by unlocking an elusive technology: lithium-sulfur batteries.

For decades, we have been searching for the best technology to power our modern lifestyle and enable clean technology, like electric cars. Since the early 90s, the battery technology of choice has been lithium-ion.

How quantum dots can revolutionize solar energy "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Theres a new way to harness the power of the sun and it may just revolutionize how we approach solar energy. The development is called quantum dots and it consists of tiny semiconductor particles only a few nanometers in size.

This is according to a report by Fagen Wasanni published on Saturday.

Quantum dots have unique properties that make them ideal for use in solar cells. Their small size allows them to absorb light from a wide range of wavelengths, including those that traditional solar cells cannot capture. This means that quantum dot-based solar cells can potentially convert more sunlight into electricity, significantly increasing their efficiency, states the report.

Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) Successful But Who Cares in Virginia? "IndyWatch Feed Enviro"

RGGI is very much needed because of the climate crisis, WV should join too!

Shortsighted RGGI repeal effort leaves Virginians in harms way

From an Article by Rebecca R. Rubin, Virginia Mercury, July 3, 2023

RGGIs track record clearly demonstrates we need not choose between clean air, affordable electricity and a strong economy.

In June, Virginians were inundated with smoke from wildfires that have been raging across Canada and could continue through the summer in the worst wildfire season in that nations history a crisis that scientists agree is being driven by climate change.

Thousands of miles from the flames, we Virginians suffered levels of air quality ranging from unhealthy to hazardous, disproportionately impacting children, the elderly and those with preexisting respiratory conditions. Environmental agencies advised those of us who could to stay indoors. School and recreational youth athletics and other outdoor events were canceled.

And as smoke blotted out the sun, turning blue skies gray and orange, the Youngkin administration worked to dismantle one of our best tools to address climate change, protect clean air and secure a livable future for our children.

Wednesday, June 7, Youngkins majority of the State Air Pollution Control Board voted to end Virginias participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a multi-state cap-and-invest program that has been cutting pollution and driving the clean energy transition in Virginia, and throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, while returning hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue to our state to fund vital resiliency and energy efficiency programs.

The repeal regulation is now under review by Gov. Youngkin, who will likely add it to the Virginia Register. It is widely expected that the repeal will face legal challenges from the public and environmental groups.

With no funding or policies economic or otherwise in place to replace this program, this short-sighted rollback leaves Virginias localities on their own to fund vital infrastructure, and takes cost-saving energy efficiency resources away from low-income Virginians. It also signals to energy producers that under Youngkins watch, they can continue pumping air pollution into communities unabated which negativ...

So much for 'freedom gas': US LNG exports decline - Reuters "IndyWatch Feed World"

Maintenance issues and sluggish demand from the EU are behind the fall, data shows. US exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) dropped 10% in June in monthly terms to 6.82 million tons due to plant maintenance and a decline in EU demand, Reuters reported this week, citing preliminary data from Refinitiv. According to the report, planned outages at two big suppliers affected US LNG production. Combined with a warmer-than-normal winter, this led to a build-up of gas inventories and lower prices, it said.

YouTube is Becoming Television (With DRM) and Creators Just Get in the Way "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Biggest instance of Invidious was forced offline without prior notice:

On the 30th of June, my cloud provider, Oracle Cloud, decided to shutdown all my servers hosted on two Oracle Cloud accounts. It is known that this provider will randomly ban accounts without any reason.

Summary: The Google Gulag does not pursue anything but money, which it increasingly wants to aggressively (e.g. by blackmail) pursue by grabbing control over peoples PCs (in GNU/Linux, YouTube already latches onto desktop components, maybe a one step away from protected content through Widevine DRM), so creators who do all the hard work are demoted and their audiences mistreated; waste no time and get away from YouTube as soon as possible

WE HAVE been writing a lot about YouTube lately because the mainstream media does not talk about the quiet revolution which mostly involves attacking creators, viewers, and Free software. Google is a Gulag and all it cares about is money. Its tired of losing money and now its crushing all the volunteers/serfs who helped YouTube become so dominant. Can they still justify this? Can they still tolerate the Gulag? Should they? For many of them, as the classic saying goes, enough is enough!

YouTube should only be optional and Googles lawyers try to ensure no other options exist.Weve already made some constructive suggestions last month (see links at the very bottom) and we recently pushed to Git some code that helps bypass YouTube links by suggesting alternatives to them in IRC. We need to discourage adoption/usage of YouTube and part of that involves asking people to not upload to YouTube or also uploading somewhere else. YouTube should only be optional and Googles lawyers try to ensure no other options exist.

Well, some people reported to us (in IRC) that YouTube now blocks Falkon, the Web browser. I could not reproduce this at my end (thats the main browser I use and maybe these changes are experimental, hence they only impact a subset of visitors), but I noticed other problems with YouTube ads in Falkon, notably a lack of picture, just sound playing. Itll get worse over time as they optimise for Chrome, with no ad blocking (not even in Chrome!), and add more DRM on top. GSoC is, to them, just some hush money (also grossly underpaid, te...

Times reporter tries to turn Palestinian terrorist into a civilian "IndyWatch Feed War"

For years, weve been documenting the egregious anti-Israel bias of Times Middle East correspondent Catherine Philp, However, a report she published yesterday was so biased, and so clearly coloured by her own pro-Palestinian views, that it hardly can be called journalism.

The putatively straight news article published on July 9 was titled Palestinian boy killed by Israeli sniper in Jenin was unarmed, CCTV suggests, but, as her tweet of the article shows, it seems to have been motivated by her frustration with the fact that there hasnt been one confirmed civilian death during Israels two-day anti-terror operation in Jenin last week.

While the article begins by suggesting that a Palestinian in Jenin named Abdulrahman Hasan Ahmad Hardan was unarmed by IDF soldiers when he was shot, it then proceeds to claim that he was an uninvolved civilian, and not a terrorist as was reported.

Here are the relevant paragraphs:

Militant groups such as the relatively new Jenin Brigades, Islamic Jihad and the armed wing of Fatah have little compunction about claiming non-combatants, even unarmed women and children, as their martyrs. Militants brought banners to the house celebrating him as such; his family expressed their unhappiness at that at not inconsiderable risk to themselves but they were adamant: Abdulrahman was not a militant and did not belong to any armed group.

[His mother] wept as she described rushing to Jenin after learning that her son had been shot in the head. He died five hours later in surgery. He was an ordinary boy, he was not a terrorist like they are saying, his mother said.

When Islamic Jihad posted photographs of its claimed martyrs, Abdulrahman was the only one not pictured with a firearm.

The Palestine boycott movement, BDS, for example, is constantly fighting in Western societies and institutions for the right to use certain language or merely challenge, though non-violently, Israeli occupation and apartheid.

Iranian media offices were shut down in some Western countries, and various Western-operated satellites removed Iranian Press TV, Lebanons Al-Manar TV and other anti-Israel occupation media outlets from their line-ups.

Thousands of Palestinian activists have been banned or censored on Western social media platforms for daring to criticize Israeli war crimes in Palestine. The writer of this article is one of many others.

More. As soon as the Russia-Ukraine war began, western governments were asked to completely block Russia Today and other Russian media channels from operating in Western capitals, leading to the shutting down of offices, and social media channels, removal from YouTube, Google and other search engines and so on.

In February 2022, European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, said: We will ban the Kremlins media machine in the EU.

For some odd reason, all this censorship is, somehow, morally and legally defensible from the viewpoint of the West.

International monitoring has pushed Khalifa Haftar into changing the routes his forces use to supply Sudans Rapid Support Forces (RSF), local sources close to the eastern Libyan commander have told Middle East Eye.

Politicians, analysts and intelligence sources from southern Libya confirmed to MEE that Haftar is involved in the supply of arms and fuel to the paramilitary group, which has been at war with the Sudanese army since 15 April.

While pictures of shipments of weapons being transported from military bases in eastern Libya were published early in the conflict, the sources also revealed the names of airbases they said are now being used as launching points for cargo.

In an exclusive interview, Saad Bou Shradah, a member of Libyas state council from the countrys south, told MEE that Haftars Libyan Arab Armed Forces (LAAF) is flying military supplies from its territory to the Central African Republic, from where they are driven by car across the border into the Sudanese interior.

Sources inside Haftar's operation, who spoke anonymously because they are not authorised to talk to the media, confirmed this. Opposition sources in CAR have previously told MEE that the government there is working with the Wagner Group to supply the RSF.

For decades, the building was a haven in the citys sky-high housing market, where artists, musicians and people down on their luck could rent rooms for about $500 a month. At the end of the day, longtime tenants would hang out at Als Bar, a legendary punk and alternative rock venue on the ground floor where bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers played long before they sold out stadiums.</p> <p>But amid the largest homelessness crisis in the nation, the Americans owner has turned the building into a boutique hotel where tourists can book rooms for as much as $209 a night.</p> <p>And the city has done nothing to stop him.</p> <p>Long before Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass declared a housing emergency last year, city officials recognized that affordable housing was vanishing and sought to address it by making it difficult for developers to scoop up the residential hotels whose single-room dwellings were the only places many people could afford. Sid Meiers Clash of Civilizations "IndyWatch Feed World"

Just like any other medium, video games can serve pedagogical purposes. Putt-Putt and Carmen Sandiego taught me some very basic world history and geography, and I spent a lot of time on Math Blaster in my childhood computer classes.

Whether its learning the location of Kathmandu or practicing basic math, video games can clearly communicate facts and sharpen real-world skills. Games can also offer arguments about how the real world works even if those will be shaped by technological, commercial, and political constraints.

That video games can teach us things is not a new argumentthis idea is central to the long-running serious games movement, and the U.S. military has long used games for various purposes. Sometimes, however, players learn lessons the game designers never meant to communicate.

Video games are, to borrow Jesper Juuls term, half-real: real in that they consist of real rules with which players actually interact, and in that winning or losing a game is a real event. However, when winning a game by slaying a dragon, the dragon is not a real dragon but a fictional one. To play a video game is therefore to interact with real rules while imagining a fictional world, and a video game is a set of rules as well as a fictional world.

To treat the fictional worlds of video games as if they can provide dispositive evidence on how the real world works would be a mistake, yet some players seem to do exactly that.

Sid Meiers Civilization (Civ) series, for example, gives players the chance to guide a highly stylized civilization through history and to win through military conquest, religious or cultural influence, diplomatic feats, scientific advances, or some combination thereof. Civ...

Left with few tanks and ammunition, Ukraine puts its hope in cluster munitions "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Ahmed Adel | July 10, 2023

The Ukrainian military lacks tanks, armoured vehicles, and ammunition to dislodge Russian forces from their well-entrenched positions, demonstrating that over half a year of planning and training for the current counteroffensive has dissipated into complete failure. The situation for Ukraine is so bad that it was even forced to withdraw its German-made Leopard 2 tanks from the front lines so they could be preserved for the future. This revelation comes as the Biden administration announced on July 6 that it would send cluster munitions to Ukraine.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine is now attempting to dislodge an entrenched enemy, one of the most daunting operations any military can undertake. Russian troops have spent months building physical defences that include bunkers, tank traps and mine fields.

The same outlet quoted Lt. Col. Oleksiy Telehin of Ukraines 108th Territorial Defence Brigade as saying that it was not only impossible to destroy well-prepared positions before advancing but that Ukrainian forces were suffering from a shortage of armoured vehicles, with infantry forced to advance on foot, which makes it vulnerable to flanking manoeuvres.

The Ukrainian military has only managed to capture a few villages in Zaporozhye and the Donetsk Peoples Republic (DPR). A month of fighting has resulted in only the capture of some villages and failure to reach Russias first defensive line, and more disturbingly, at the cost of thousands of deaths and hundreds of destroyed tanks and armoured vehicles.

Ukrainian personnel admit to horrific losses, with soldiers presumably in Zaporozhye, saying they could have lost dozens of men in a single attack.

We had to evacuate the evacuation team, said a 19-year-old combat medical professional, according to the US outlet. The teenager also recalled a case where a mortar hit his vehicle during an evacuation of the wounded.

According to reports, Russian helicopters fly less than 8 kilometres from Ukrainian positions, which should ordinarily make them vulnerable to air defences, but as a platoon commander from the 108th Brigade said, We dont have proper air defence systems to deal with the threat. When were warned that an enemy plane has taken off, the only way to deal with it is to take cover.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported on July 9 that since the beginning of the special military operation, their forces have destroyed from Ukraine 453 planes, 241 helicopters, 4,948 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defence missile systems, 10,604 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,137 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,396 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,547 special military motor vehicles.

A flaw in Revolut US payments resulted in the theft of $20 Million "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

A zero-day vulnerability in the Revolut payment systems allowed threat actors to steal more than $20 million in early 2022.

In early 2022, threat actors exploited a zero-day flaw in Revolut payment systems to steal more than $20 million, reported the Financial Times quoting multiple unnamed sources.

The issue resulted from differences between American and European payment systems. When some transactions were declined, the company would erroneously refund accounts using its own money.

The problem was exploited by threat actors to steal approximately $23 million, part of this sum was recouped by the net loss was about $20 million.

The total amount of funds stolen is worrisome considering that it is equal to almost two-thirds of Revault annual net profit in 2021.

The problem took place in 2021 and threat actors began exploiting the issue in 2022. Crooks made expensive purchases that would be declined, then withdraw the refunds at ATMs.

It seems that the problem was known in the cybercrime ecosystem.

At this time, a Revolut spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by multiple media.

In September 2022, the financial technology company Revolut suffered a highly targeted cyberattack over the weekend, threat actors had access to the personal information of 0.16% of its customers (approximately 50,000 users).

Upon discovering the intrusion, the security team promptly locked out the threat.

This weekend was a bust "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

So disappointed. We found some old graves of dead Westads, and thats about it.

Damn few spiders. I dont know why. We were tromping around in nature preserves around Fertile, but spiders were scarce, we only found a handful. We didnt even see many insects, other than ants, which were flourishing in the sandy soils of the old Lake Agassiz shoreline.

I was reduced to taking pictures of flowers, out of a lack of worthy subjects.

All right, time for me to go home.

Bangladesh captive elephant death by train highlights need for conservation "IndyWatch Feed Enviro"

On May 17, an elephant was killed after a train hit it in the capital Dhakas Uttara area. The incident took place in the Court Bari area while two captive elephants, guided by their mahout, were crossing the railroad tracks. Immediately after the incident, the mahout fled the spot, and nobody took responsibility for the incident, sparking widespread criticism by wildlife experts and animal rights activists for not taking proper measures to protect the captive Asian elephants, which are critically endangered in Bangladesh. When the news of the elephants death spread, wildlife lovers rushed to the spot but no wildlife conservator came immediately. As the elephant was still alive and trying to stand up while bleeding, people gathered around were trying to save the injured animals life by pouring water on it. But, finally, it succumbed to the injuries on the spot. Later, animal lovers and animal rights activists held a demonstration in front of the Forest Department office (Ban Bhaban) in the citys Agargaon area with banners and festoons. Captive elephants have a long history in the region. In the 19th century, wild elephants were abundant throughout the Bengal region, frequently raiding crop fields. Several landholders kept tame female elephants as decoys for capturing these wild elephants. Elephants were also sometimes hunted and killed for ivory. About a hundred years ago, elephants were still abundant in most of the forests here, even in the Madhupur forests near present-day Dhaka. A captive elephant at a stream. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened a new lane of negotiations with his western allies on Monday, explicitly linking for the first time Sweden's Nato membership bid with Turkey's own longstanding bid for European Union membership.

Speaking on TV before departing for the Nato summit in Lithuania, Erdogan bought up the EU accession process, which has been stalled for many years for Turkey following deteriorating diplomatic relations between the country and its neighbours.

First, open the way to Turkey's membership of the European Union, and then we will open [Nato membership] for Sweden, just as we had opened it for Finland," Erdogan said.

In a phone call with US President Joe Biden on Sunday, Erdogan also brought up the question of EU membership.

Sri Lanka: Tamil Tigers Making a Comeback? "IndyWatch Feed War"

As 2023 unfolds, Sri Lanka is wrestling with a series of political and economic crises, with growing fears of insecurity for the island. A narcotics and arms bust by Indias National Investigation Agency (NIA) in April identified a Pakistani criminal network associated with the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the terrorist outfit Lakshar-e-Taiba (LeT) as responsible for an uptick in shipments between India and Sri Lanka. Further investigative details on the case also indicated a desire by the criminal group to revive the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), the prominent militant group that engaged in a decades-long civil war with the Sri Lankan government until its defeat in 2009.

In addition to the NIAs bust, a sensational claim in February 2023 by a Tamil nationalist suggested that the LTTEs founder and former leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, long believed to be deceased, was still alive. Though still unproven, this claim and the NIA bust has renewed debate over a potential revival of the LTTE. Compounding these concerns is an economic recovery effort in Sri Lanka that continues to lag.

Historical context

The LTTE emerged in the context of deep-seated ethnic tensions between the majority Sinhalese and minority Tamils, becoming the most prominent group advocating for Tamil rights and, eventually, for a separate state known as Tamil Eelam. The Tamil Tigers distinguished themselves with a high degree of efficacy and sophistication in their attacks, proving their capability as a formidable non-state military force with naval and air power at its peak.

New Report: Many Microsoft Employees Are Nowadays Fake Workers, Contractors Instead of Real Staff (Not Even Counted as Layoffs After Their Disposal) "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Published one hour ago:

The reality of Big Tech's 'fake work' problem

Yes, Microsoft a notable example:

One former contract worker hired by Meta during the pandemic became so frustrated with feeling idle that she took on a second contract job at Microsoft at the same time (neither company knew she was working for the other). She decided if 'they're not going to give me anything to do then I guess I'm just getting paid.'

Representatives from Salesforce, and Microsoft declined to comment. Meta did not respond to requests for comment.

Summary: Weve long said that the real number of Microsoft layoffs is far higher than what Microsoft and the media (parroting Microsofts lies) say and on top of that they dont even count the temps (temporary workers) and the contractors (what the above articles calls fake work); Microsoft suffers a serious crisis which dismantles entire teams and products/disservices (GitHub had at least two waves of layoffs this year, to give one example)

The Founding Fathers Would Be Disappointed by Bidens Democrats "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

This is the second of a two-part series that contemplates what the Founding Fathers would make of todays politics and each of the parties. For Part 1, go here.

It doesnt take much imagination to realize that the Founding Fathers would be appalled by todays Republicans, which was the topic of our last column. However, how would they feel about Democrats?

Once again, we wonder what would happen if the Founders could travel forward in time.

Thats a bit trickier. Well, actually, we know what would happen first.

Before any of the Founding Fathers could get a word out, somebody would try to cancel them.

Not just because some of them were slave owners but also because of their unfamiliarity with the meaning of Latinx. And, lets face it, they would probably struggle with getting everybodys pronouns right.

That highlights two problems of modern Democrats. The first is that they pick the wrong battles. Spurred on by social justice warriors, they seem to fight hardest when it comes to mandating tolerance, which is impossible.

What they should be focused on instead is fighting for a society that teaches tolerance.

The second problem is that todays left has created purity standards that nobody, including themselves, can live up to.

Put these two things together, and its easy to see why progressives these days are more interested in achieving symbolic victories than affecting real change full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

That mindset leads to foolish endeavors like trying to cancel the Founding Fathers.

Sure, they were deeply flawed in many ways, but they also altered the course of history, and what they created ended up benefitting countless people to this day.

Of course it is fine, and even important, to acknowledge the flaws of the Founding Fathers. Put them in history books and on plaques to show Americans that they werent gods but rather just exceptional men with their own faults.

They led a struggle for greater rights that still serves as a model for people who want greater self-determination and freedom.

On balance, their accomplishment...

At least 1 dead as heavy summer rains set off flash flooding in New York state - up to 8 inches of rainfall "IndyWatch Feed World"

A slow-moving storm system brought heavy rain across a wide section of New York State on Sunday evening, flooding streets, prompting dozens of rescues for drivers whose vehicles were stranded on inundated roads and causing at least one death, the authorities said. The Hudson Valley was the most affected by the storm system on Sunday, with sections of the area getting between five and eight inches of rain, the National Weather Service said. The epicenter of the storm struck West Point, the U.S. Military Academy in Orange County, which had about eight inches of rain as of Sunday night. Trooper Steven V. For Queen & NATO: Listing Denmarks Recent Weapons Purchases "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Stijn Mitzer and Joost Oliemans

Much attention has been devoted to Poland's defence spending boost (not the least through our dedicated article) that is set to provide the country the largest army in the European Union. [1] Other NATO members are making an attempt to follow suit, with Romania currently embarking on a smaller but similarly ambitious rearmament programme. The combined efforts of these countries will ultimately see the acquisition of thousands of MBTs and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and more than a thousand self-propelled guns (SPGs) and multiple rocket launchers (MRLs). Considering these impressive numbers, it is perhaps easy to forget the efforts of smaller nations like Denmark, the Baltic States and the Netherlands at significantly modernising and expanding the capabilities of their armed forces.

Denmark in particular has sought to expedite the process with which it acquires military equipment, accelerating to a pace previously unthinkable for defence projects in Europe. Though the number of weapons systems acquired is anything but spectacular especially compared to countries like Poland they remain vital for the security of NATO in their own right. Several of these acquisitions introduce new capabilities entirely, while others make up for capabilities lost since the conclusion of the Cold War. For Denmark, this has included its submarine service (2004), MRLs (2004), SAM systems (2005) and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (2006). In order to pay for the new acquisitions, Denmark has significantly increased its defence budget and even abolished a public holiday to boost military spending. [2] [3]

In service of a population of just under six million, the Danish Armed Forces are comparatively small. As a seagoing nation that also bears the responsibility for the def...

Kim-1: Memory Problem Resolved "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

At the very start of the personal computer revolution, there were relatively inexpensive boards with little more than a CPU, some memory, a display, and switches or a keypad. Some of these had expansion ports meant to allow you to build up, and some were just trainers to learn about computers. While you could argue that the Altair fell into this category, it had a case and a proper bus. The computers we are thinking about were usually just on a single board and with luck had an edge connector for expansion. Perhaps the most famous of these was the KIM-1 and [Old VCR] shows us how he brought one back to life.

These were highly popular mainly because of the low price of $245 back in 1976. For that price you got a calculator-style keyboard and LED display, 1K of RAM, and 2K of ROM. [Old VCR] has several and noticed that one was developing memory problems.

Some basic troubleshooting found the culprit to be the memory chip at U10 on the schematic. Piggybacking a good RAM chip proved the chip was at fault, and, of course, there was no socket, so surgery ensued!

On the old boards, it is hard to remove a part without damaging traces and this was no exception. Silver conductive ink fixed the trace, but the repair was unsuccessful. Thats when the diagnostic board a design from [Dwight Elvey] makes an appearance.

Indonesias No. 2 palm oil firm faces global backlash over community conflict "IndyWatch Feed Enviro"

CENTRAL SULAWESI, Indonesia Karolus Kolong, a 62-year-old villager on Indonesias Sulawesi island, has spent nearly two decades fighting to get his land back from palm oil giant Astra Agro Lestari. AAL, as the company is known, is the second-largest plantation company in Indonesia, which in turn is the worlds largest producer of palm oil. AALs global reach means its palm oil could, until recently, be found in products made by household brands like PepsiCo and Nestl. In 1995, Karolus was part of a group of more than 50 families who migrated from their village in East Nusa Tenggara province to Rio Mukti village in Central Sulawesi in search of a better life. In [the old] village, I had nothing, Karolus told Mongabay at his home in October 2022. For the first few years in this new land, the dream appeared to be coming true: Karolus grew oranges, chili and cacao on a 3-hectare (7-acre) plot of land, which hed bought in 1997 from the village chief at that time. Things changed soon after. In 2004, PT Mamuang, a subsidiary of AAL, won a concession covering 8,000 hectares (19,800 acres), parts of which overlapped with villages in the area, including Rio Mukti. Karolus and 70 other Rio Mukti villagers tried to negotiate with the company to spare their land, but to no avail: they could only watch as their crops and homes were bulldozed to make way for Mamuangs oil palm plantation. Karolus said he was too scared to fight. This article was originally published on Mongabay

Sinjajevina Prepares for Annual Celebration and Ongoing Resistance "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Tim Pluta, World BEYOND War, July 10, 2023

The outhouses are up and functioning, our tents are pitched, and there is a warm fire going on a cool night in the mountains of Sinjajevina in Montenegro.

The local organizers of the Save Sinjajevina Campaign have already been working long hot days, purchasing sleeping bags, tents, sleeping pads, food, and other supplies, organizing transportation and pick ups, and readying their mountain camp for the supporters that will be arriving in 4 days to celebrate St Peters Day.

Along with paying their respects to St. Peter, they will also bring attention to the reality that somewhere, members of NATO are attempting to devise yet another plan to turn the mountains of Sinjajevina into a practice bombing range despite the fact that a corner of it would be a part of a UNESCO reserve, the people living there have been doing so in complete balance with nature for 400 years, and, oh yes, NATO does not have their permission.

While the limit of visitors had been set at 50, organizers suspect that last minute folks just showing up might result in as many as 70 people at the celebration.

On this  cloudless night, with a campfire blazing, resting after 2 days and nights of preparation, tenacity comes to mind. On the one hand the tenacity of NATO to do whatever it takes to keep the military industrial complex alive, strong, and killing people. On the other hand, the tenacity of residents and supporters of Sinjajevina, gathering together as a functioning, nonviolent international community, resisting the fanatical efforts of NATO to maintain life-support for the dying and obsolete concept that war is somehow a good idea.

The Injustice Continues for Victims of the Black Wall Street Massacre "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

More than 100 years after the Black Wall Street massacre, all that the remaining survivors of one of the worst terrorist attacks on US soil wanted was some semblance of justice. If Tulsa County District Court Judge Caroline Wall has her way, they wont get it.

On Friday, Wall threw out a lawsuit filed on behalf of three centenarians who were alive in 1921, when a mob of white people descended on a Black district in Tulsa, OK, killed hundreds of its residents, and left the thriving community in ruins.

Tulsa officials then tried to downplay and cover up what really happened that day, which is one of the reasons why more Americans are not aware of the massacre, and why justice has been so hard to come by.

In their lawsuit, the plaintiffs argue that, even a century later, the impact of the massacre reverberates. At the time of the attack, Black Wall Street, as that part of Tulsa had been known, was one of the most prosperous Black communities in the US. All of that was reduced to ashes in just a few hours.

And still, there has been no compensation for the victims.

Wall is not the first judge who is denying them justice. As far back as 1937, when a series of property cases were dismissed, the courts have done their part to perpetuate this grave injustice.

That is really one of the most baffling things about the massacre and its aftermath. It is easy to understand how racism, jealousy, and poverty would motivate a white mob in the 1920s to sack a wealthy Black community.

And it also makes sense that Tulsa officials tried to downplay what happened. Who wants to be known as the city where hundreds of residents were slaughtered without repercussions?

However, the way in which the legal system, even 100 years after the fact, has failed the victims is stunning.

Just the fact that the defendants in the lawsuit, including the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, chose to fight it instead of finding some sort of solution is baffling.

Their argument that the request to compensate the victims for the property that was stolen and destroyed would impose a burden on the citys financial stability is just ridiculous. A horrific crime was committed, and nobody paid for it. However, many people (and their descendants) have materially benefited from it.

Anybody interested in justice should want there to be some kind of compensation.

Apparently, however, Wall is not.

Upon hearing the arguments of counsel and considering the briefs filed by counsel for plaintiffs and counsel for defendants the court respectfully finds and order the plaintiffs second amended petition should and shall be dismis...

We therefore pledge to cooperate in strengthening confidence and security among us and in promoting arms control and disarmament. (Charter of Paris for a New Europe November 21, 1990) The madness of war reigns again in Europe. The delusion that only weapons provide security is once again in high season among politicians, think tanks, and the media across Europe. It has become acceptable once again in Europe that human sacrifices are being offered at the altar of alleged decisive battles. As if we had learned nothing from the past, the Ukrainian counter-offensive is now supposed to become such a decisive battle that it should bring a military solution to what we could not or did not want to...

Why Private Wealth Should Lead Public Investment "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

Americas Suburban Experiment is an interlude of financial unreality that began at the end of World War II. We are in the process of transitioning out of it, moving to something different. What that development pattern will be is unclear, but emerging constraints suggest that we will learn a lot from understanding the historic relationship between private investment and public investment.

Here is an image Ive used a lot. Its Front Street in my hometown of Brainerd, Minnesota:

Front Street. Brainerd, MN, 1870.

Note the amount of of this city. There was none. There were no sewer and water systems. No streets or sidewalks. No drainage system. Nothing. The first iteration of the city didnt produce enough wealth to justify any of those things. The people who built that place had more urgent things to do with their resources than build public infrastructure. They were trying to figure out if this city was going to survive.

Heres the second generation of buildings on this same street. Version 2.0:

Boycott TikTok "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

and convince others to do the same

Fentanylware: Who's there?

Summary: Bytedances TikTok (some spell it ByteDance) comes in two flavours, which are known as spinach and opium. The former is for the local (Chinese) market and makes people obedient, whereas the latter makes people destructive (to themselves and to others) overseas; why cant the mainstream media properly convey such a simple message?

THE threat remains potent and the evidence keeps piling up. The US Surgeon Generals investigations into health damage, both physical and mental, caused by social control media is relevant. Then theres also the CBS 60-Minutes segment from last autumn, even though it is not viewable outside the US. Its the opium TikTok vs spinach TikTok segment.

So why are people still being Zuckers of Facebook? Why are people flocking from one poison to another poison? Why are so many people in the West still using (being used by) Bytedances TikTok? Do they not understand what Bytedance is? The name sounds benign. Its misleading. Those are all poisons, but both methods and dosages vary, depending on geography and geopolitics.

Were hoping that the media will be predisposed to criticise Bytedances TikTok. We can only hope.

Were hoping that the media will be predisposed to criticise Bytedances TikTok. We can only hope.Even though the pertinent facts are widely and openly available, the media thinks it can gain audiences by sucking up to Bytedances masters. Sometimes it gets paid to do this! To give an example, a tabloid that kept promoting TikTok almost every day (even several times per day in recent months) decided to publish an article entitled Dangerous TikTok trends claim 4 lives in 6 months in Alabama: officials. This was published this past Saturday. As someone explained today, Bytedances TikT...

Declassified Intelligence Report on COVID-19 Origin: Both Theories Remain Plausible "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

A recently declassified intelligence assessment looking into a possible link between a lab in Wuhan, China, and the origin of COVID-19 found that both the lab-leak theory as well as a natural origin remain plausible.

The report, which Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines declassified last month, examined the role that one specific lab, the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), may have played in the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While that was not the documents focus, perhaps one of the most interesting takeaways from it is that the intelligence community has not yet reached a conclusion as to where COVID-19 came from.

All agencies continue to assess that both a natural and laboratory-associated origin remain plausible hypotheses to explain the first human infection, said the report, which was compiled by the National Intelligence Officer for Weapons of Mass Destruction and Proliferation.

While pointing out that different agencies favor either of the two theories, the author stressed that the report does not address the merits of the two most likely pandemic origins hypotheses, nor does it explore other biological facilities in Wuhan other than the WIV.

Therefore, the report should not be used to draw conclusions as to whether COVID-19 originated in a lab or first occurred naturally.

The document does make it clear, however, that the different agencies are in agreement that COVID-19 was not developed as a biological weapon.

WIV has attracted a lot of attention as a possible site where the virus may have originated. It has been the subject to various theories related to the pandemic, and the declassified document addresses several of them.

The main takeaway of the report is that the evidence of the intelligence community does not support the theory that COVID-19 originated in WIV.

We continue to have no indication that the WIVs pre-pandemic research holdings included SARS-CoV-2 or a close progenitor, nor any direct evidence that a specific research-related incident occurred involving WIV personnel before the pandemic that could have caused the COVID pandemic, the document states.

One reason why people have suspected WIV as a possible source for COVID-19 is that a safety training was conducted around the time of the initial outbrea...

US accused of leaving innocents stranded in Sudan "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

For many, a safe haven is now out of reach amid the continuing violence in the African country, Gebrehiwot Ewnetu has told RT. The emergency exit plan enacted by US diplomats in Sudan, which involved destroying all passports submitted to the embassy, has left hundreds of innocent people stranded. Policy and governance expert Gebrehiwot Ewnetu told RT on Saturday that the victims of Washington's hasty withdrawal from the country, which is engulfed by clashes between rival factions, face enormous problems in replacing their documents. When fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces erupted in April, Washington ordered its personnel to evacuate. This prompted the embassy in Khartoum to scramble to destroy classified documents and passports in its files. A State Department spokeswoman confirmed as much to the New York Times, describing it as "standard operating procedure" to prevent sensitive materials from falling into the wrong hands.

India's Space Agency Set to Launch Lunar Lander, Rover "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

On a shoestring budget, Chandrayaan-3 aims to observe Luna, Earth, even exoplanets:

India's Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will next week launch Chandrayaan-3, a mission that aims to land on the moon and deploy a rover.

ISRO yesterday announced that Chandrayaan-3 had been tucked into its capsule and mated with the (LVM-3) launcher that will take it into space. Liftoff from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre has been scheduled for July 14 at 2:35pm IST (09:05 Friday UTC).

The ridiculously economical $74.5 million mission aims to land near Luna's south pole in August. From a ramped compartment, the lander will deploy a 26 kilogram rover outfitted with instruments including an Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) and Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS).

The lander contains an accelerometer, Ka-band and laser altimeters, Doppler velocimeter, star sensors, inclinometer, touchdown sensor, and cameras for hazard avoidance and positional knowledge.

The lander also boasts several instruments including Chandra's Surface Thermophysical Experiment (ChaSTE) to measure surface thermal properties, Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) to measure tremors around the landing site, Radio Anatomy of Moon Bound Hypersensitive ionosphere and Atmosphere (RAMBHA) to study the gas and plasma environment, and a NASA-provided passive Laser Retroreflector Array (LRA) for lunar ranging studies.

A propulsion module that carries the rover and lander will stay in a 100km lunar orbit, where it will act as a communication relay satellite, complete with a payload known as the Spectro-polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) that studies spectral and polarimetric measurements of Earth from roughly 362,000 to 405,000 kilometers away.

[...] Only three countries - the USA, Russia, and China, have successfully landed missions on the Moon. Good luck, Chandrayaan-3!

EFF recently submitted comments to the Meta Oversight Boards call for submissions last month about posts in the United States discussing abortion that were removed under the companys violence and incitement policy.

EFFs comments address the over-removal of abortion-related content and the use of automated technologies to identify such content, as well as the need for contextualization in content moderation. EFFs comments also remind Meta of its responsibility to respect international human rights law, and ensure that any content removal be both necessary and proportionate.

Who Is Responsible For Taraji P Henson Nude "IndyWatch Feed War"

Taraji P Henson Nude

I was recently asked about the responsibility for Taraji P Hensons nude photos circulating online. Its important to clarify that Taraji P Henson, the talented actress known for her roles in movies and TV shows like Hidden Figures and Empire, has not released any nude photos herself. The circulation of such images without consent is a serious violation of privacy and can have severe emotional and professional consequences for those involved.

In cases like these, its crucial to focus on the individuals responsible for the unauthorised distribution of private photos rather than blaming the victims. The responsibility lies with those who actively choose to share or distribute such intimate images without permission. This behaviour is not only unethical but can also be a criminal offence in many jurisdictions.

Privacy laws and regulations have been put in place to protect individuals from such violations, and it is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies and internet platforms to take action against those who engage in these acts. Additionally, educating people about consent, online safety, and the potential consequences of sharing such material is essential in preventing these incidents from happening in the first place.

Ultimately, it is important to respect the privacy and personal boundaries of individuals, including celebrities like Taraji P Henson. Instead of focusing on the victims of these privacy breaches, the attention should be directed toward holding those responsible accountable, raising awareness, and promoting a culture of consent and respect both online and offline.

However, the leaking of her private photos goes beyond the realms of curiosity and enters the territory of violation. The circulation of these images has sparked conversations surrounding consent, privacy laws, and the responsibilities of both social media platforms and individuals in safeguarding personal information.

Its concerning to see the rapid dissemination of these intimate images, further magnifying the need for stricter regulations and the development of better online safety measures. New Legislation In Michigan Gives Meaningful 2nd Chances To Low-Level, Nonviolent Offenders "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

Pexels

Recently, Michigans criminal justice reforms, which were signed into law three years ago, finally went into effect. As a result, nearly 850,000 residents who had at least one conviction benefitted from the change, and their charges were automatically set aside.

Advocates refer to this bipartisan legislation as the Clean Slate initiative, and it has initiated an automatic expungement process. This process will effectively clear a range of convictions from an individuals record after a particular waiting period.

In Michigan alone, approximately 2.8 million individuals have criminal records, many of which compromise low-level, nonviolent offenses, or offenses that were committed during their juvenile years. Prior to the implementation of the new expungement laws, these convictions remained on the individuals record, creating major barriers to their ability to avail of good housing and employment opportunities.

As for John Cooper, executive director of Safe & Just Michigan, he shared, Were celebrating a historic step forward as Michigan becomes just the third state to implement automatic expungement. This reform will deliver immediate and automatic impact for more than a million people, all of whom are likely to see their access to housing and jobs improve overnight.

Innovative Solution To Plastic Bag Made Using Seaweed Thats Both Heat Resistant And Biodegradable "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

rjsinenomine-CC-2.0

A compostable plastic wrap with the potential for large-scale production has been developed using an invasive seaweed species from the Caribbean. This innovative solution holds the promise of transforming the entire supply chain of the commonly used product, which is extensively utilized in restaurants worldwide.

The breakthrough originates from the University of Leeds in the UK, where Keeran Reed and his team sought to convert the brown seaweed species called sargassum (Sargassum natans) into a biopolymer. Sargassum consists of elongated molecular chains similar to those found in traditional plastics. Through a combination of acid, salt and specific chemicals, the researchers discovered that the seaweed could be made thicker and more pliable.

Subsequently, they transformed it into film sheets resembling regular plastic wrap to evaluate its performance under heated conditions and when subjected to composting. Unlike existing biodegradable plastics, which can take several months or even over a year to breakdown in compost heaps, the sargassum-based material decomposed in just two to three weeks.

Despite its rapid degradatio...

Exposed, the multi-billion-dollar illusion of HIV: Part 7 "IndyWatch Feed War"

Readers of TCW will be familiar with Neville Hodgkinsons critical reporting of the Covid crisis since December 2020, notably his expert, science-based informed alarm about the mass vaccine rollout, so absent from mainstream coverage. What they may be less aware of is the international storm this former Sunday Times medical and science correspondent created in the 1990s by reporting a scientific challenge to the HIV theory of Aids, presaging the hostile response to science critics of Covid today. In this series, which concludes today, he details findings that form the substance of his newly updated and expanded book, How HIV/Aids Set the Stage for the Covid Crisis, on the controversy. It is available here. You can read Part 1 of this series here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here, Part 5 here and Part 6 here

This series has summarised a detailed, scientifically argued case that HIV, the purported viral cause of Aids, is a modern myth. Contrary to numerous assertions, HIV has never been proven to exist through standard microbiological techniques. Yet huge amounts of taxpayer cash have been commandeered by the HIV/Aids industry for research and treatment, with more than 250 failed HIV vaccine trials and an endless search for a cure.

Failures that led to the construction and maintenance of the HIV/Aids theory, and suppression of contrary evidence, are being repeated now with Covid. Worse will be to come while such high-level mistakes remain unacknowledged and uncorrected by the scientific and med...

Over the many years that the line has been available, there have been a few models which have captured the attention more than others, and among those, probably the most sought-after is the ThinkPad 701c. It would be an unremarkable mid-1990s 486 laptop were it not for the party piece of that flip-out butterfly keyboard (see video, below). [Karl Buchka] has one thats profoundly dead, and rather than use it as a novelty paperweight, hes giving it a new lease of life with a Framework motherboard.

This is very much a work in progress, so there will be plenty more to come, but so far, hes taken the display panel from an iPad and made it work with the Framework board, and designed an entirely new lower case for the Thinkpad. This will hold the Framework board with its USB-C ports at the edge, so in the place of its USB-based expansion modules, hes made a custom external port replicator. Meanwhile, a Teensy handles that unique keyboard. Were told that the design files will all eventually be put online should anyone else want to try.

She heaves a sigh of relief. With her national identity and ration cards in hand, she hurries to the distribution point for World Food Programme (WFP) cash. She already knows what shell spend it on.

Since the arrival of refugees in our area, food is becoming more and more scarce in the market, says Youlka, who shelters 4 families 15 people who have fled armed conflict in neighbouring Burkina Faso.

Years of violence tearing apart Africas central Sahel region are fueling a broader West African crisis, as unrest and refugees move southward into coastal countries, crossing the borders not just of Togo, but also of neighbouring Benin, Cote dIvoire and Ghana.

New Book Reveals the Uncensored History of AIDS "IndyWatch Feed War"

Video Link

By Dr Joseph Mercola | July 9, 2023

In this video, I interview journalist Celia Farber about her recently republished book, Serious Adverse Events: An Uncensored History of AIDS. As a young reporter working for SPIN magazine, Farber started questioning the official narrative around AIDS, and this book is the outgrowth of her decades-long investigation into and writing about this hot potato topic.

Long before censorship went mainstream, Farber was put through the wringer. In 2006, she published an article in Harpers Magazine titled Out of Control: AIDS and the Corruption of Medical Science. In it, she highlighted the work of virologist and retrobiologist Peter Duesberg, who insisted that HIV doesnt cause AIDS.

In my view, Duesberg was brilliant, but like so many other brilliant scientists, he was widely discredited for not going along with the narrative promoted by the conventional medical establishment.

As a result of her reporting, Farber was vehemently attacked by leading AIDS researchers and activists,1 so much so, she ended up suing three of the attackers for defamation. The New York County Supreme Court dismissed2 her claim in 2011 and upheld the verdict in 2013. Still, she did not quit or back down, and kept searching for the truth.

The Passion of Duesberg

As explained by Farber, Duesberg worked at the Max Planck Institute in Germany, one of the most well-respected scientific institutions in the world. After moving to the United States, he became a professor at the University of California, Berkeley.

In 1987, he published a paper in Cancer Research, proposing that retroviruses are not the cause of cancer, nor the cause of AIDS. According to his scientific biographer, this was the paper that sealed his scientific doom forever after. Farber notes:

Duesberg mapped the genetic structure of retroviruses. So to him, yes, they were entities, but no, they didnt do anything. They didnt infect or kill cells. They were harmless. And he h...

Empowering Women in the Legal Field: Challenges and Triumphs in Texas "IndyWatch Feed World"

The legal profession is one that demands dedication, expertise, and a commitment to justice. However, in the state of Texas, as in many other places, women still face gender disparities in the legal field. Despite these challenges, women lawyers in Texas have made significant strides and achieved remarkable success.

In this blog post, we will explore the gender disparities, challenges faced by women, success stories, and strategies for empowering women in the legal field in Texas.

Overview of gender disparities in the Texas legal field

Source: forbes.com

Gender disparities persist in the Texas legal field, with women facing numerous obstacles. According to statistics, although women account for approximately 50% of law school graduates, they are significantly underrepresented in leadership positions in law firms and the judiciary.

This underrepresentation not only limits career advancement opportunities for women but also hampers diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. Addressing these disparities is crucial to creating a more equitable legal system.

One notable example of a woman who has actively worked towards addressing these disparities is Franci Neely. As a philanthropist and advocate for womens rights, Neely has been a strong voice in promoting gender equality within the legal field.

Examination of challenges faced by women in the profession

Women in the legal field encounter various challenges that hinder their professional growth. One of the major obstacles is the pervasive gender bias that can manifest in subtle ways, such as unequal pay, fewer opportunities for career advancement, and biased evaluations.

Additionally, the demanding nature of legal work often clashes with traditional gender roles, making it difficult for females to balance work and family responsibilities. These challenges can lead to a lack of representation and hinder the progress of women in the legal profession.

The art of the peaceful protest "IndyWatch Feed Politics.eu"

YET another anniversary, 25 years on from the Drumcree/The Garvaghy Road dispute which made headlines the world over. But there is a different orange protest in the news that has caught my eye. That would be the ongoing JUST STOP OIL campaign.

On Saturday  a member of the public approached George Osborne and Thea Rogers as they emerged from their wedding and showered the newlyweds in orange confetti from a Union flag paper bag. Naturally, given the fact George Osborne is a former Chancellor and there were notable public figures in attendance, this was a bold move. It is still unclear if the campaign were behind the confetti-ing but the group did later tweet, You look good in orange, George Osborne congratulations to the newlyweds.

It got me wondering if we are witnessing the future of protests. Im all for a persons right to protest but surely stalking a persons wedding is a bit much? Are there no boundaries between a personal and profession life anymore? By all means confetti him 9-5, but on his wedding day?

It is encouraging though, that a lone eco-warrior can, it seems, make just as many waves as a crowd. With the right target, at the right occasion, this lady managed to make headlines and cause no real harm. But is it going to win people over to their cause? People, I imagine, will be much happier if it is not their lives interrupted, much rather a politicians. I would imagine this would be much more popular than the audacious interruptions at sporting events.

This year, the Orange Order applied for a 3,000-person march on the Garvaghy Road a larger-than-normal application to mark the 25th anniversary. The history here being that in 1998, the newly established Parades Commission ruled the Orange Order should not march down Portadowns Garvaghy Road on the end leg of its annual march from Drumcree Church. About 1,000 police and 1,000 soldiers were deployed to enforce this decision. Between Saturday 4 July and Tuesday 14 July 1998, there were more than 2,500 public order incidents recorded, according to RUC statistics in an Ulster University archive.

Biden admin: Child-killing cluster bombs are only used by war criminals, until theyre used by us "IndyWatch Feed War"

Leo Hohmann leohohmann.com July 8, 2023

The Biden regime has approved cluster bombs for Ukraine, under the justification that but Russia used them first.

Watch below as former White House press secretary Jen Psaki condemns the use of cluster bombs as war crime in 2022. The overall thrust of her comment suggests that only the bad guys would use these little bomblets that tend to be left lying on the ground, unexploded, until little children come along and pick them up, blowing their little bodies to smitherines.

Cluster bombs are widely banned around the world.

Sarah Yager, the Washington director at Human Rights Watch, called the U.S. decision devastating.

They are absolutely awful for civilians, Yager told Al Jazeera in a television interview. I think when legislators and policymakers here in the United States see the photos coming back of children with missing limbs, parents injured, killed by our own American cluster munitions, theres going to be a real awakening to the humanitarian disaster that this is.

Remember, this is the same wicked administration that has recently approved radiological depleted uranium shells to be used in Ukraine, potentially poisoning some of the worlds most fertile black soil for decades to come.

Revelation 18 speaks of the great Harlot, modern Babylon, being destroyed in the latter days, smashing its ability to traffic in all manner of luxury products including the bodies and souls of men, which I explored in my previous article about the story of Tim Ballard in Sound of Freedom.

But another characteristic of the end-times revived Babylonian system, which the Bible says in Revelation 18 will be destroyed in one hour is that it wreaks havoc...

The graveyard of empires: The top investments as the world order collapses "IndyWatch Feed World"

After almost two decades of conflict, an insurgent army from one of the world's poorest nations inflicted a decisive military defeat on the US, the global superpower that upholds the unipolar world order. The US government's total failure in Afghanistan the longest war in American history signifies a crucial moment and turning point in world history. The Soviet Union collapsed about two years after the Red Army was defeated and withdrew from Afghanistan. As we approach the second anniversary of the American retreat, could a similar fate be in store for the US?

Ukraines Failed Counter Offensive Paints NATO Into A Corner "IndyWatch Feed War"

Larry Johnson The Gateway Pundit July 9, 2023

Ukraines attempt at a Hail Mary (the football play not the Catholic prayer) victory by seizing swaths of territory from the Russians is a failure. The Russians have intercepted every move and Ukraines negligible advances are counted in single-digit kilometers along with piles of Ukrainian corpses and burned-out hulk of Western-supplied tanks and armored personnel carriers.

Yet the West is struggling to come to grips with the reality and persists in peddling the delusion of a stalemate. Samuel Charap, a senior Political Scientist at Rand Corporation, wrote a piece published in Foreign Affairs on June 5 that grudgingly conceded the war in Ukraine is Unwinnable. But he only got it half-right. He wrote:

Russias invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 was a moment of clarity for the United States and its allies. An urgent mission was before them: to assist Ukraine as it countered Russian aggression and to punish Moscow for its transgressions. While the Western response was clear from the start, the objective the endgame of this war has been nebulous.

But it is now time that the United States develop a vision for how the war ends. Fifteen months of fighting has made clear that neither side has the capacity even with external help to achieve a decisive military victory over the other. Regardless of how much territory Ukrainian forces can liberate, Russia will maintain the capability to pose a permanent threat to Ukraine. The Ukrainian military will also have the capacity to hold at risk any areas of the country occupied by Russian forces-and to impose costs on military and civilian targets within Russia itself.

Charap is a prime example of the failings of political science as a science. He ignores the evidence that Russia, unlike Ukraine, has enormous capacity to achieve a decisive military victory over not only Ukraine, but NATO. Ukraine and NATO are running out of artillery shells, cruise missiles, tanks and combat aircraft. More importantly, Ukraine is drained of competent, trained soldiers that can operate those weapon systems.

The situation for Russia is the exact opposite. With each passing day Russias trained manpower increases along with soaring production of tanks, hypersonic missiles, artillery shells, mortars and drones. Russia is degrading Ukraines combat capability and has not yet launched its own offensive using the full weight of the Russian ground and air forces.

NATO has no stomach to let Ukraine join its club. Germany, along with denouncing Bidens decision to supply cluster munitions to Kiev, declared that any decision about Ukraine joining should be postponed. Hungary and Bulga...

CIA Running Ukraine Exposes Bidens Bluster of No U.S. Boots on the Ground "IndyWatch Feed War"

Strategic Review July 7, 2023

Ukraine is ground zero for the CIAs fascist origins

The American magazine Newsweek published a big exclusive report this week purporting to reveal the extent of CIA involvement in the Ukraine proxy war against Russia. It hardly merits the billing of exclusive since it is well known that the U.S. spy agency is up to its neck in orchestrating the conflict.

In truth, the CIAs nefarious role in Ukraine goes back decades to the end of World War Two. More on that further down.

Nevertheless, the Newsweek article provides a useful admission that Washington is recklessly and criminally fueling hostilities towards Russia, the worlds biggest nuclear power in terms of its arsenal. The Biden administration and its military-intelligence apparatus are risking an escalation of the proxy war to an all-out nuclear conflagration.

The Newsweek report remarks on the contradiction between President Joe Bidens public vow to not put American boots on the ground and the undeniable heavy presence of U.S. clandestine forces in Ukraine helping (more precisely, directing) the war effort. Instead of contradiction, a plainer, more fitting word is lie.

Recall, too, Biden previously said he doesnt want to start World War Three with Russia. Thats about as believable as an alcoholic saying he doesnt want another drink.

The Biden administration is engaged in gross deception of the American public by absurdly pretending that U.S. military personnel are not in Ukraine and that Washington is not directing a war against Russia. Bidens policy of pumping weapons into Ukraine ($40 billion so far) is inexorably leading the United States and its NATO allies deeper into an all-out war against Russia. Yet this mentally challenged president somehow maintains there are no U.S. boots on the ground and that the U.S.-led NATO alliance is not at war with Russia. Such blatant lies should be grounds for his impeachment.

Apart from the admission that the Newsweek article provides, the otherwise banal reporting is a whitewash of the CIAs pivotal and pernicious role in the Ukraine conflict.

Laughably, the article portrays the CIA as trying to ensure the war does not spin out of control. Thus, the agency is presented as a moderating, restraining influence on the Kiev regime and its military conduct. The reader is led to believe that Washington is endeavoring to prevent the Ukrainian military from launching direct attacks on Russia. It is claimed that the CIA is struggling to control the operations of the Kiev regime which has at times gone rogue against Bidens rules of engagement. Examples of rogue conduct, it is claimed, are the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage, the bo...

Israel: Netanyahu government to help prevent collapse of Palestinian Authority

Israeli security cabinet votes to prevent collapse of Palestinian administration while calling for end to 'incitement' and 'illegal construction' in occupied West Bank

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (R) arrives at his office to attend the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on 9 July 2023 (AFP)

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has committed to help prevent the collapse of the Palestinian Authority, although without specifying concrete steps to do so.

Netanyahu said the decision had been made at a meeting of his security cabinet on Sunday, with eight members of the top-level forum supporting the move.

The vote was not unanimous, however, with one voting against and one abstaining.

The PA, established in 1994 following the Oslo Accords, holds devolved authority over parts of the occupied West Bank and was supposed to mark the first tentative step towards Palestinian sovereignty and negotiations over the creation of an independent state.

In the years since its creation, however, it has become widely unpopular over its corruption, authoritarianism and security cooperation with Israel. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, aged 87, has also long outstayed his mandate as president.

Myth Dispelled: race relations in Zimbabwe crater without white presence "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

Revolver July 8, 2023

Interestingly, race relations in Africa seem to be spiraling, despite the common narrative that its white folks stirring up racism. Zimbabwes black president is now pointing fingers at Indian shop owners, blaming them for stockpiling goods and hiking prices. Hes even hinting at seizing everything they own.

The Zimbabwean:

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has issued a stern warning to the business sector and specifically targeted Indians, accusing them of stockpiling basic supplies to create artificial shortages and boost prices.

Only the corrupt African governments are allowed to hoard and price gauge how dare the Indians jump in on the action?

We are being attacked currently by price hikes. Why, just when we announced that we are going for general elections? Our enemies decided they must cause problems among our people and started hiking prices such as Innscor, Mnangagwa said, although Innscor had provided some of the food that people ate at the rally and had also displayed their banner alongside Zanu PF banners.

President Mnangagwa singled out businesspeople of Indian origin and said he had information that they were illegally hoarding basic commodities.

Lets bet on how long itll be before this shady government decides to swoop in and take everything away from these Indian folks, just to stash it away and jack up the prices even more.

I have been told today that some Indians in Harare are stocking basic goods in warehouses. They buy sugar from Chiredzi, all the basic goods like flour and so on to stock in their warehouse then raise the prices, let me warn them, he said and added that his team was investigating this issue and would proceed to confiscate the goods.

If it is true, we shall confiscate, not only the warehouses but the things inside them and give it to you and distribute to people.

The president said if foreign businesspeople based in Zimbabwe wanted to hoard goods, they should go back to their countries.

Our government will never tolerate such activities in an independent Zimbabwe, Mnangagwa said.

In 2002, a certification that Osama bin Laden had died in 2001 was given by Dr. Steve Richard Pieczenik MD, an award-winning luminary of Harvard Medical School and a retired official of the US Regimes State Department who served in the regimes of Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and GHW Bush.

Pieczenik stated: As a physician, I knew that CIA physicians treated bin-Laden and that it was on the intelligence roster that bin-Laden had MARFAN SYNDROME.

Pieczenik stated that the US Regime already knew that bin Laden was dead [or as good as dead] before it even launched the Afghanistan Invasion on 7 Oct 2001.

MARFAN SYNDROME is a degenerative genetic disease of the connective tissue for which there is no permanent cure. It shortens the lifespan of the sufferer, and it can cause instant death from the sudden rupture of the aorta.

God is Sleeping in All of Us in The Kunda Pool Where The Kundalini Sleeps at The Base of The Spine "IndyWatch Feed War"

God Poet Transmitting.

What you put your attention on responds to that attention within the framework of time it is resident in; a person an animal a plant or a rock exist in a different time frame than do the residents of the other stages of being. If that attention be good or ill or dispassionate, the reactions will reflect this. There are people who can cause flowers to wilt by being in proximity to them and they have the same effect on people.

Of course, the reverse is true and masters shine like The Sun on all life wherever they may go. The problem is that there are too few masters, especially In Times of Material Darkness. They often retreat from the common thoroughfares of life because of the conditions of the times. This does not mean their influence ceases. It simply expresses in another fashion.

I asked The God on The Beach; Im going to stop calling him The Man on The Beach since it is evident to me now that he was no man, though I was not permitted to have that insight at the time or for some time after. I asked him why he wasnt in the city where he could help more people. He snorted and said, I dont like being pushed around.

As you can see part of me knew that he was something more than the ordinary life form or I wouldnt have asked him that, BUT I was completely under the spell of the moment. On reflection it seems that the whole episode was scripted.

At the time I met him, I had had no exposure to Eastern thought. It wasnt until I saw a seated Buddha statue in an antique store window in Palm Springs that the tradition was revealed to me. The right hand of the Buddha rested on its wrist on the knee with the index and pinkie fingers extended horizontally and the middle two fingers curled down and inward.

Here is Ramakrishna in Kundalini exaltation.

The whole time I was with him he held his hands in like manner, only his hands were formed as if he were holding the reins of a brace of horses, with the thumb pressed into the middle digit of the index finger and the index and pinkie fingers pointing to the side with the other two curled in along the palm. It was the same position as the Buddha, but differently aspected.

When I had my Kundalini experience in the Virginia woods, the same thing happened to me and my hands have stayed that way until this time.

Early in our interactions, he was seated cross-legged on the beach and I was in...

Trained like DOGS: Britons will readily comply with future lockdowns and mask mandates, Nudge Unit chief says "IndyWatch Feed War"

Belle Carter Natural News July 9, 2023

According to a British government adviser, since the United Kingdom has already been brainwashed to learn a new behavior, British people would quickly obey future pandemic lockdowns.

In principle, you can just switch it [behavior] back on, Professor David Halpern, head of the Behavioral Insights Team (BIT), which was spun out from the cabinet office, told the Daily Telegraph.

He pointed out that since the country had practiced the drill of the pandemics restrictive government mandates like wearing facemasks as well as following other health protocols such as social distancing and working from home, it would be easy to redo it in a future crisis because people are now conditioned to do what they are told. Thanks to the engineered globalists pandemic.

Speaking on the Lockdown Files podcast, Halpern pointed out that generally, messaging based on fearmongering is ineffective. He defended its use in extreme circumstances, choosing not to reference the mass protests built across the country after the restrictions began in March 2020. There are times when you do need to cut through particularly if you think people are wrongly calibrated, he said.

The Nudge Unit chief also stressed how powerful messages on posters are. These were used throughout pandemic restrictions and could enforce visual prompts so that when people go into a shop or somewhere else, it reminds them, automatically cues and triggers the learned behavior.

The people got so used to the restrictions and mandates that they find it hard to unlearn them. He cited mask-wearing as an example. Though the threat of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission has lessened to almost no longer risky and studies have proven that facial coverings never really mitigated the spread of the virus, it actually even caused more harm for increased inhalation of carbon dioxide, people would still feel something is missing or naked when not we...

UK NHS Director of End-of-Life Care Confirms Doctors Lied About COVID Being Cause of Death to Create Illusion of a Pandemic "IndyWatch Feed War"

By The Expose and Sai Global Research.ca July 8, 2023

Before Covid, four types of pneumonia added together were the highest cause of death in the UK. In a newly implemented Medical Examiner System to certify deaths, the Medical Examiner was certifying all types of pneumonia deaths as Covid-19 deaths, a former Director of End-of-Life Care has said.

On Saturday, Sai, a former NHS Director of End-of-Life Care, wrote a Twitter thread which, amongst other things, gave a personal account of the changes to the system of reporting deaths implemented in the NHS:

When four different diseases [are] grouped and now being called covid-19, you will inevitably see covid-19 with a huge death rate.  The mainstream media was reporting on this huge increase in covid-19 deaths due to the Medical Examiner System being in place.

Patients being admitted and dying with very common conditions such as old age, myocardial infarctions, end-stage kidney failure, haemorrhages, strokes, COPD and cancer etc. were all now being certified as covid-19 via the Medical Examiner System.

Hospitals were switching to and from the Medical Examiner System and the pre-pandemic system as [and] when they pleased. When covid-19 deaths needed to be increased, the hospital would switch to the Medical Examiner System.

In addition,

hospitals were incentivised to report covid-19 deaths over normal deaths, as the government was paying hospitals additional money for every covid-19 death that was being reported, Sai said. I have no doubt in my mind, that the Government has planned the entire pandemic since 2016 when they first proposed the change to medical death certification.

You can read Sais thread on Twitter HERE or Thread Reader App HERE.  In the event it is removed from Twitter we have copied the thread below. In the following, the number at the beginning of a paragraph relates to the number of the tweet within the thread.
