NASA Says That Something Weird Is Happing In The Universe Right Now Awareness Act

In a recent press release, NASA announced that the Hubble Space Telescope has uncovered new data that suggests something mysterious is happening in our universe. This discrepancy, which remains unexplained, could potentially point to the need for brand-new physics to understand the workings of the cosmos.

The Hubble Space Telescope has been gathering data on a variety of cosmic objects that serve as distance markers. These markers, which are essential for understanding the expansion rate of the universe, are revealing a puzzling inconsistency. The data collected by Hubble indicates that the universe is expanding faster than expected, based on predictions from the early universes conditions as observed by the European Space Agencys Planck satellite.

This discrepancy, which has been dubbed the Hubble tension, has persisted despite numerous attempts to refine the measurements and observations. The cause of this tension remains a mystery, but the data gathered by Hubble supports the idea that something unusual is happening, possibly involving a new, undiscovered aspect of physics.

One of the potential explanations for this inconsistency could involve the presence of dark energy, an enigmatic force that is believed to drive the accelerated expansion of the universe. Some scientists have speculated that dark energy may be interacting with other cosmic forces in a way that has not yet been understood. Alternatively, the discrepancy could point to the existence of new particles or forces, which would require an update to our current understanding of fundamental physics.

The search for answers to this cosmic mystery will likely involve further observations and data collection from telescopes like Hubble, as well as from upcoming missions such as the James Webb Space Telescope and the Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope. These future missions could provide additional insights into the nature of this discrepancy and help astronomers determine whether new physics are indeed needed to explain the observed phenomena.

As NASAs press release suggests, the persistent discrepancy in our understanding of the universes expansion rate is both intriguing and challenging. The data collected by the Hubble Space Telescope is supporting the idea that something mysterious is happening, possibly involving new and undiscovered physics. As scientists continue to gather information and observe the universe, it is possible that this enigma will lead to groundbreaking discoveries, reshaping our comprehension of the cosmos and its underlying principles.

NASA's Webb scores another ringed world with new image of Uranus Signs of the Times

Following in the footsteps of the Neptune image released in 2022, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has taken a stunning image of the solar system's other ice giant, the planet Uranus. The new image features dramatic rings as well as bright features in the planet's atmosphere. The Webb data demonstrates the observatory's unprecedented sensitivity for the faintest dusty rings, which have only ever been imaged by two other facilities: the Voyager 2 spacecraft as it flew past the planet in 1986, and the Keck Observatory with advanced adaptive optics. The seventh planet from the Sun, Uranus is unique: It rotates on its side, at roughly a 90-degree angle from the plane of its orbit. This causes extreme seasons since the planet's poles experience many years of constant sunlight followed by an equal number of years of complete darkness. (Uranus takes 84 years to orbit the Sun.) Currently, it is late spring for the northern pole, which is visible here; Uranus' northern summer will be in...

Hubble spots possible runaway black hole creating a trail of stars Signs of the Times

NASA has warned that there's an 'invisible monster on the loose', in the form of a 'runaway' black hole. The supermassive black hole is barrelling through the universe so quickly that if it were in our solar system, it could travel the 237,674-mile journey from Earth to the Moon in just 14 minutes. Weighing as much as 20million suns, it has left a trail of stars in its wake, measuring 200,000-light-years - twice the diameter of the Milky Way. Scientists outlined the findings for the possible black hole in a study led by Yale University.

FBI Files on Nancy Reagan The Black Vault

Nancy Reagan, born Anne Frances Robbins on July 6, 1921, in New York City, was an American actress and the wife of the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan. She served as First Lady of the United States from January 20, 1981, to January 20, 1989, during which time she became known for her devotion to her husband and her work in various social initiatives. Nancy passed away on March 6, 2016, at the age of 94.

Before her time as First Lady, Nancy pursued a career in acting. She appeared in numerous films and television shows, and it was during her time in Hollywood that she met her future husband, Ronald Reagan. The couple married on March 4, 1952, and had two children, Patti and Ron Jr.

As First Lady, Nancy focused on several key initiatives, the most well-known being her Just Say No campaign against drug abuse. Launched in 1982, the program aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of drug use and encourage young people to reject drugs. She traveled extensively throughout the country, speaking at schools and community centers, and her efforts contributed to a national conversation on drug prevention.

Nancy also played a significant role in the restoration and preservation of the White House. She led a comprehensive effort to renovate and refurbish the historic building, raising private funds to complete the project. The restoration aimed to create a more welcoming environment for the public and ensure the White House remained a symbol of American history and elegance.

Throughout her time in the White House, Nancy was a devoted partner to her husband, both publicly and privately. She was known for her strong influence on the President, offering guidance and support behind the scenes. Many credited her with helping to humanize Ronald Reagan, softening his image and making him more relatable to the American public.

Nancy faced several challenges during her time as First Lady, including the attempted assassination of her husband in 1981, which deeply affected her. She became increasingly concerned with his safety and well-being and was known to consult astrologers to help plan his schedule.

After leaving the White House, Nancy continued her work on drug prevention and remained an influential figure in American politics. She played a significant role in advocating for research on Alzheimers disease, following her husbands diagnosis in 1994....

Drought Profiteers: Wall Street Billionaires Are Snatching Up Americas Water MintPress News

It is time to stop calling the financial industry executives who are buying up freshwater investors or hedge fund managers and instead call them drought profiteers.

I mean, you can also call them vultures and parasites. They all apply quite well. Come up with your own names for them. Get creative with it. Really listen to your heart.

Water. We all need it to survive. Its the main ingredient in alcohol. Just think of how many more people would be killed each year if we didnt have alcohol to take the edge off. But heres the problem: as the climate crisis causes drought around the world, the richest of the rich are snatching up all the fresh water.

The Great Water Grab: Wall Street is buying up the worlds water, Our Santa Fe River, 2019.

Corporations Are Consolidating Water and Land Rights in the West, Governing, 2022

In one example, reported by CBS News in January, New York investors have been snapping up Colorado River water rights, betting big on the increasingly scarce resource.

One of the worst is a New York hedge fund called Water Asset Management (WAM). See that sounds responsible water asset management. Unfortunately, that names like a prison state named Freedom Asset Management.

[WAM] has bought at least $20 million worth of land in Western Colorado in the last five years, making it one of the largest landowners in the Grand Valley. The hedge fund says it invests exclusively in assets and companies that ensure water supply and quality, reports CBS News.

Right. They ensure water supply and quality.

For whom do they ensure that water quality? Is it for the military veteran with no legs begging for change in the subway? Is it for the single mom working two jobs? Is that who they are ensuring water supply and quality for?

No. Its for the highest bidder. Thats who.

Its like saying Octapharma, one of the largest paid blood extraction companies, ensures blood supply and quality as they suck it out of the poorest people in the U.S.

The co-founder and president of Water Asset Management, Matthew Diserio, called water in the U.S. a trillion-dollar market opportunity.

He is saying stealing water from the people and selling it back to the ones who can afford it is good for his bank account.

And since we are already in a climate crisis, this is not a problem for the future. Reservoirs across the country are already nearing empty.

Meteorologist Greg Postel told CBS News that Lake Powell in Arizona and Lake Mead in Nevada are at historic lows. TheyR...

In recent days, a group of nearly 10,000 scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and academics have signed an open letter calling for a pause on training AI systems more powerful than GPT-4. In a short span of time, we have seen huge developments within the AI space, both good and bad. As a computer science engineer, I know firsthand that the innovations we are seeing in AI have been coming for some time. While some developments are quite concerning, if used responsibly, these technologies can facilitate great social advancement, from the ability to assist radiologists with medical screenings to helping visually impaired people complete everyday tasks. The possibilities are endless, but we will only maximize the good if we do so responsibly.

Jacob Siegel: The great "disinformation" hoax Signs of the Times

The writer talks to Freddie Sayers about America's new censorship complex. From state actors all the way down to fact-checkers, the 'disinformation complex' has blossomed in recent years. Broadly defined as false information which is intended to mislead, disinformation as a concept is opaque and has taken on several meanings some benign, others less so. In a 13,000 word essay for Tablet, Jacob Siegel delineates all the nefarious ways disinformation has evolved over the last 70 years in America. As Siegel explains it, 'disinformation' is an invention, one that has morphed into a tool of governance. Declaring information as true or untrue is a means to control public discourse and to undermine and censor information which is "unflattering" to political elites. He joined Freddie Sayers to discuss it further:

Gloomy outlook issued for US dollar Signs of the Times

The greenback may fall by another 15% against rival currencies by mid-2024, an investment services company says. The US dollar could weaken by as much as 15% against major world currencies over the next 18 months, as inflation continues to cool, allowing the Federal Reserve to loosen its monetary policy, according to Eurizon SLJ Capital. A research note released on Tuesday by the firm's chief executive, Stephen Jen, said the US Federal Reserve is likely close to - or already beyond - peak hawkishness, meaning that rate cuts are on the horizon. The Fed's nine previous hikes, in addition to the tighter credit conditions caused by the US banking crisis, already suggest inflation is trending to the downside, he concluded.

This will work well with software development by taking out the drudgery involved with actual documentation at least.  That alone allows for a high level of destaffing.

The problem in passing knowledge on to others is not doing a precis of someone elses opinions  It is snythesizing your own opinion and passing that forward.  There i am unconvinced.

Yet the demands of publishing and explanation has created a cottage industry of regurgitating every opinion in order to even present one new idea or fact.  No one is allowed to presumed that the audience has done appropriate homework.

Now we will likely get the bizarre world of AI books without authers charm, wit and oblique observation.  So how do we get to read massive books with the erudation of a computer software manual?

Did This Twitter Move Just Cement Elon Musk's Place in History? Terra Forming Terra

Maybe.  I personally fully support open source just because there is nothing truly worthy of property protection such as a patent in software development.  It is more appropriate to apply copywrite law which is also set for a much longer time span.

Yet most of what is written out there is given freely and only becomes valuable if commonly adopted.  That is when copywrite sort of matters.  And why the commertcial publisher seeks it.  After all no one wants to get sued after a production and distribution run.

The actual value of all these laws is to prevent been sued for your own work.

Four babies per mother Mandate Terra Forming Terra

 Four babies per mother Mandate

It is unfortunate that I must write this, but it is completely necessary.  A combination of modernity, and modern contraception has collapsed the global birth rate well below sustainability and even with a massive life extension to ease the pressure, we will have a sharp decline in the global population.

This means that the developed countries must both sort out their living arrangements once and for all, but also mandate every female at the age of 18 produce a baby every two years until four have been birthed.  For this we must provide full support, obviously, but also managed childcare that eliminates the actual burden of childcare.

Some of that burden can not be eliminated, but a lot can and has often been done.

The outcome will be a child production boom that will fill our populatin ranks properly until it is deemed optimal.  At that point, it is easy enough to stage it back to three per mother and perhaps even two per mother..

This may sound draconian but it will be necessary.  Yet it is also an ordered life and it is the right time as well to integrate training and education to produce a strong citizen.

Men also need to be fully engaged as well for a similar mandatory time span.  Military grade fitness training leaps to mind, but it is actually brief but necessary.  Most training can be apprentice type work and does not have to be limited to one skillset.  We have all sorts of tasks easily taught and firmed up with a little practice.  Structuring industry around such a program is completely possible.

There are plenty of other issues at play here, but that is the guts of it all.  Marriage will then tend to happen after 25 or so as well and not be totally linked to child care.  It may even be set around short term contracts instead of the current dispensation..

I do expect that all this will also evolve and mature naturally into a sustainable lifeway, rath...

Endocrinologist Forecasts More Hormone-Related Diseases as Spike Proteins Found to Deplete Endocrine Reserves Terra Forming Terra

This is serious of course and will certainly lead to a whole range of premature ailments, many of them life threatening.

We are slowly figuring out the full impact of the JAB and it certainly appears to promote early mortality, likely matching that of cigarrette smoking and also real fertility problems.

On the other hand, I am not seeing real changes taking place on the stats for births and still births.  So far, so good.  I was really concerned here about just that.

The big take home is that the JAB was dangerous and never was for the stated purpose.

Pity the child Signs of the Times

About a decade ago, toddler son in tow, I found myself in a playground for the first time in 35 years. It was not what I remembered. The colors were far more vibrant. Plastic had replaced wood and metal. Sharp edges had been rounded, chains and hinges softened. Cushioned ground had replaced the asphalt. What struck me most, however, was that it was full of adults. It seemed that every child had a minder within arms length. I was perplexed. I knew why I was there my son was still a bit wobbly. Many of the kids appeared to be about 6-8 years old. Why did they need minders? I soon learned the two cardinal rules of contemporary playgrounds (or at the very least, playgrounds on Manhattan's Upper West Side): One, your child may not get hurt. Two, your child may not hurt another child. Violate the first rule, and you're negligent. Violate the second and you're antisocial borderline criminal. Also, and just for good measure, "hurt" is given the broadest possible definition to include...

How BBC coverage is enabling Israeli state violence at al-Aqsa Signs of the Times

The late Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a Nobel laureate and tireless campaigner against South African apartheid, once observed: "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor." For decades, the BBC's editorial policy in reporting on Israel and Palestine has consistently chosen the side of the oppressor - and all too often, not even by adopting the impartiality the corporation claims as the bedrock of its journalism. Instead, the British state broadcaster regularly chooses language and terminology whose effect is to deceive its audience. And it compounds such journalistic malpractice by omitting vital pieces of context when that extra information would present Israel in a bad light. BBC bias - which entails knee-jerk echoing of the British establishment's support for Israel as a highly militarised ally projecting western interests into the oil-rich Middle East - was starkly on show once again this week as the broadcaster reported on the violence...

Donald Trump Will Be Convicted Armstrong Economics

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that the Democrats would have stooped to such a low position as they have by indicting Trump. This is so in-your-face political and I can GUARANTEE that Trump will be convicted and the facts will NEVER matter. New York is the MOST corrupt legal system in perhaps the entire world. While the charges are a joke, the Judge is as corrupt as they come. He scheduled the next hearing for December 4th in clear violation of the Constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial. They will be roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar.

It is now clear that the Judge intends to disrupt the 2024 election by constantly hauling Trump back to court to tie him up for the election. If he doesnt show, then he will throw him in jail for contempt. This is a deliberate interference into the 2024 election that our computer had forecast would be the most corrupt in American history if it even takes place its going to be that bad.

Who is Funding Ukraine? Armstrong Economics

Every week, there is a new announcement of the US pledging additional aid to Ukraine. Biden has provided Zelensky with a blank check to fund this war while his own countrys infrastructure crumbles. The Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative led by the Department of Defense is providing Ukraine with another $2.1 billion for funding. The announcement came the same day that Finland joined NATO, and Russia promised retaliation. This means Zelensky will have both hands out begging for more at your expense.

Russia alone could end its war today, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said in a statement. Until Russia does, the United States and our allies and partners will stand united with Ukraine for as long as it takes. Longtime warmonger Blinken knows that Russia will never retreat. The war will go on until something catastrophic occurs. It is hard to determine how much the US has spent on Ukraine but the CBO estimated the amount was around $113 in 2022. If there are 131.2 million households in America, that means each household paid around $861 to fund a war that does not involve America or any of Americas allegiances. Obviously some pay more and some pay less based on the constantly changing tax brackets. Those who read this blog understand, but for those who think the money is coming out of the politicians pockets

Easter Potato Hunt Armstrong Economics

Christian traditions are not honored in Bidens America. Even happy celebrations for children are chastised. Egg prices are absurdly high, and Christian children are expected to sacrifice on one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar. Instead of painting and hunting for Easter eggs, Democratic outlets are telling parents to buy potatoes instead.

There is nothing like finding a potato with candy taped to the side during the annual Easter potato hunt! Even popular bloggers are spreading the message to conserve eggs this Sunday, explaining how kids can paint potatoes instead.

After last year, the POTUS may have a personal grudge against the Easter Bunny. The whimsical giant rabbit had to prevent one of the most powerful men in the world from rambling on about Pakistan and Afghanistan to children. The Bunny has been Bidens most efficient handler, and the White House should consider bringing him on full-time.

A Kennedy to Challenge Biden in 2024 Armstrong Economics

(AP Photo/Virginia Mayo)

Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a moderate by the Democrats standards, has filed to run for president against Joe Biden. JFKs nephew broke party lines when he began to speak out against vaccinations. He even wrote a book in 2021 entitled, The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health (Childrens Health Defense).

Many Democrats are outraged and have called Kennedy an undercover Republican. His own wife, a popular actress in Hollywoo(D), publicly stated that she does not support her husbands views. My husbands opinions are not a reflection of my own. While we love each other, we differ on many current issues, she stated. If you cant win the support of your own family, it wont be easy to convince the majority of the nation to vote in your favor. His sister Kerry who runs the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights group, has also publicly voiced her opposition to her brother, calling his ideas dangerous. Some believe he is a nepotism candidate who has succeeded as a result of his last name.

If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms. Together we can restore Americas democracy, he stated before announcing his bid.

Anyone is better than Joe Biden, but his mental impedance makes him the ideal puppet for the Deep State since he cannot form his own thoughts. 6 Promises All Mothers Should Make to Their Children Awareness Act

Children are vulnerable, and to them, the world can be a very scary and uncertain place. That is why we must show them that the world is not this unsafe place and that no matter what, we will protect them.

That is why promises can be so beneficial. Of course, you dont want to make any promises you cant keep. However, you do want to make sure that you are making the right promises to them and that you stand by those promises every single day. Here are 6 promises all moms should make to their children.

1. No matter what you do, Ill always love you.

Your kids need to know that your love does not come with conditions. This means, that no matter what choices they make, you will stand by them and love them. This is especially important for your child to know, because eventually they will make choices you arent the biggest fan of, and in those moments, its your job to keep your promise.

2. I promise I will prepare you for what you will face in this life.

Your child needs to know that they are going to make it in this world and that you will do everything in your power to make that happen. They need to feel safe going into the real world. That means that you will have to stand by your promise and prepare them for the world.

3. I will always allow you to be yourself, instead of forcing you to be who I want you to be.

When we raise kids, we often have a certain idea of how they will turn out. However, children are their people and they turn into the person they want to be, not always the ones we may want them to be. Make a promise to your child that you will always allow them to be their selves.

4. I promise to let you go when you are ready.

One day, your little bird will leave your nest. It will be a difficult time, but when they are ready, you cannot stop them.

5. I promise to let you make mistakes.

Everyone makes mistakes. When your child does, do not make it seem like its the end of the world. Instead, give them some grace.

6. I will discipline, not punish.

There is a difference between disciplining and punishing your kids. Punishment is more reaction oriented, while discipline is calm teaching. You should always strive to discipline versus punish.

9 Most Common Tactics of Strategic Manipulation Awareness Act

Every one of us has a side of us that is dark. Some of us hide this side of ourselves or keep it under control, while others use their dark side to manipulate and use others.

While dark psychology is not a medical term, it is recognized in the medical community. For example. Michael Nuccitelli, Psy. D has spoken extensively on this topic. According to him, Dark Psychology is both a human consciousness construct and study of the human condition as it relates to the psychological nature of people to prey upon others motivated by psychopathic, deviant or psychopathological criminal drives that lack purpose and general assumptions of instinctual drives, evolutionary biology, and social sciences theory. All of humanity has the potential to victimize humans and other living creatures. While many restrain or sublimate this tendency, some act upon these impulses. Dark Psychology explores criminal, deviant, and cybercriminal minds.

Manipulators tend to use dark strategies to get what they want. Here are 9 of their most common tactics.

1. They cater to your sympathy.

Manipulators and dark individuals know how to appeal to peoples emotions. Sympathy is one of their favorite ways to con people because they know that most people feel a duty to take care of others. This is why con artists and abusive narcissists tend to make themselves look as though they are weak and vulnerable.

2. They use your vanity against you.

Dark people are intelligent, in the fact that they know that most people do have a vain side. They know that we all have a weak spot in which we like to be recognized or understood. Unfortunately, they use this against you.

3. They will go to great lengths to take advantage of you.

People with dark psychological traits arent afraid to do whatever it takes to get what they want. They will lie, cheat, steal, and manipulate their way through any situation and try to make themselves look good while doing it.

4. They gaslight.

Someone who has dark psychological makeup will have no trouble gaslighting someone else. Gaslighting is what happens when someone tries to make you doubt your perceptions, so much so that their ultimate goal is to make you feel crazy.

5. They appeal to your dark side.

As I said, everyone has a dark side and people with a dark psychological makeup understand this. Deep down, they think everyone is just like them. Their ultimate goal is to figure out their dark side and slowly make it come out.

6. They target the vulnerable.

Dark individuals tend to target the vulnerable. Think about internet scammers: they tend to prey on the elderly or people who may not have their full wits about them because they are easier to manipulate or con.

7. They blackmail.

A manipulator will blackmail you without blinking an eye. Manipulators tend to gain the trust of others and take note of their secrets....

Losing Your Mother Will Change You Forever Awareness Act

Losing your mom will completely wreck you. It is one of the most difficult things that anyone could ever endure.

Put simply, losing your mom is a traumatic experience. Regardless of whether it is sudden, or even if you have time to prepare nothing could ever prepare you for this event. Even if your relationship with your mother is on shaky ground, nothing will shake your world the way losing your mother will.

The grief of losing a mother is a special kind of grief. It is unlike anything else because it will turn your entire world upside down. According to Psychology Today, The known becomes the unknown, the predictable becomes uncertain, and warring emotions compete, starting immediately with the shock that someone integral to your presence can be suddenly just gone.

Daughters seem to have an even harder time coping, based on a 2007 study that found a more negative impact on daughters versus sons. According to the study, women who lose their mothers are far more likely to binge drink, have a massive decline in self-esteem, and have a lower level of personal mastery.

Additionally, the grief of a parent is something that is unique, because the grieving process is far more intense and far more difficult, according to a 2015 study.

At the end of the day, we are a part of our parents, most especially our mothers. Once upon a time, we were tethered to our mother, snuggled in her womb, and lived off of her body. When you think about it- you are literally a piece of your mother. Following the loss of a mother can leave you with a myriad of mental and emotional struggles, however, it can also impact you on a physical level as well. Studies have shown that the physical effects of grief of losing a part can be followed by immune disorders and cardiac issues.

So, if you are struggling with the grieving process, you are not alone. While you cannot replace your mother, you can find solace again.

9 Signs of Narcissistic Abuse in Relationships to Never Ignore Awareness Act

Most people would assume that it would be obvious if you are in a relationship with a narcissist, however, if you assume that, then you likely have not been in one. At the end of the day, narcissists are typically pretty cunning when it comes to how they launch their cycle of abuse.

In the beginning, narcissists tend to act their very best. They know how to get people to like them, and even love them, and oftentimes, they are quite charming. However, their facade soon begins to wear off, leaving their partner reeling at what has happened. In many ways, they manipulate their partners and even the rest of the world into believing they are good people. But, as the mask continues to slip off, they begin to give themselves away.

Here are 9 signs of narcissistic abuse in relationships to never ignore.

1. They try to control you.

Narcissists like to control everyone around them, even in subtle ways. Examples of this are when a narcissistic partner makes passive-aggressive jabs at their partner, to get them to change or do things their way. In other cases, they may even be outright about their attempts to control you.

2. They gaslight.

Gaslighting is when a narcissist works to make their partner feel as though their perceptions are incorrect. They will work to try to make their partner feel crazy because it puts them in control.

3. They project.

Narcissists will do some shady things. They will lie, cheat and steal if it means they get to be in a better place in life or if it benefits them in any way. However, they will accuse their partners of doing exactly what they are doing, either as an attempt to throw their partner off track or because in their minds, they assume everyone is like them.

4. They nitpick.

Narcissists are hyper-critical of others, especially their partners. Nothing their partner ever does will ever be enough, or will ever make them truly happen. They will nag and nag and criticize and criticize until they break their partner down.

5. They sabotage you.

Narcissists do not like to see their partners win. Instead of being supportive of a new job or new opportunity, they will sabotage their partners.

6. They socially isolate you.

One way in which a narcissist gains control is by isolating their partner. They will stir up fights and drama between their partner and their friends and family, to get their partner isolated. In their mind, if their partner is isolated, then they can do whatever they please.

7. They verbally abuse.

Narcissists are quite abusive, almost always verbally and in some cases in other ways. They will call their partner awful names, use their vulnerabilities against them and berate them.

8. They intimidate.

While not all narcissists are physically abusive, most of them will do whatever it takes to feel in control. One way they do this is by intimidating their partners. They will...

9 Common Toxic Parenting Behaviors Awareness Act

Toxic parenting involves a pattern of negative behaviors that can have long-lasting consequences on a childs emotional well-being and development. Recognizing and addressing these behaviors is crucial to fostering a healthy parent-child relationship and promoting the childs overall well-being. In this article, we will discuss nine common toxic parenting behaviors and provide insights on how to address these issues.

Excessive criticism and belittling

Constantly criticizing a childs actions or belittling their accomplishments can damage their self-esteem and self-confidence (1). It is important to provide constructive feedback and recognize the childs achievements, rather than focusing solely on their mistakes or shortcomings.

Emotional manipulation and guilt-tripping

Using emotional manipulation or guilt-tripping to control a childs behavior can lead to feelings of shame, guilt, and unworthiness (2). Parents should strive to communicate their expectations clearly and respectfully, without resorting to manipulative tactics.

Emotional neglect and unavailability

Emotionally neglectful parents may fail to provide the support, encouragement, and validation that a child needs to develop a healthy sense of self (3). To address this behavior, parents should make an effort to be present, engaged, and attentive to their childs emotional needs.

Overbearing control and micromanagement

Exerting excessive control over a childs life can hinder their development of autonomy and independence (4). Parents should encourage their children to make decisions, take responsibility, and learn from their experiences, while still providing guidance and support.

Physical or verbal aggression

Physical or verbal aggression can create a hostile environment and negatively affect a childs emotional well-being (5). Parents should model healthy conflict resolution and communication skills, and seek professional help if they struggle to manage their anger or aggression.

Favoritism and unequal treatment

Favoritism or unequal treatment can foster feelings of resentment and jealousy among siblings, as well as damage a childs self-esteem (6). Parents should strive to treat all of their children fairly and recognize their unique strengths and needs.

Inappropriate role reversal

Expecting a child to fulfill a parents emotional needs can create unhealthy codependency and burden the child with inappropriate responsibilities (7). Parents should seek support from adult friends, family members, or mental health professionals to address their own emotional needs, allowing their child to maintain age-appropriate roles and responsibilities.

Disrespecting boundaries

Repeatedly violating a childs personal boundaries can create feelings of insecurity and mistrust (8). Parents should respect their...

7 Warning Signs of a Toxic Parent-Child Relationship Awareness Act

A healthy parent-child relationship is built on love, trust, and mutual respect. However, toxic parenting behaviors can create an unhealthy dynamic that may have long-lasting consequences on a childs emotional well-being. Identifying the warning signs of a toxic parent-child relationship is crucial in addressing these issues and seeking support. In this article, we will explore seven warning signs of a toxic parent-child relationship, drawing from various reputable sources.

Excessive control and manipulation

Toxic parents often exert excessive control over their childs life, limiting their autonomy and independence. They may use manipulation tactics, such as guilt-tripping or threats, to maintain control (1). This behavior can lead to a lack of self-confidence and difficulty making decisions in the child.

Emotional unavailability and neglect

Emotional neglect occurs when a parent fails to provide the emotional support and nurturing their child needs (2). Toxic parents may be emotionally distant or disinterested, leaving the child feeling isolated and unloved.

Excessive criticism and unrealistic expectations

Toxic parents may consistently criticize their child, focusing on their perceived flaws and failures (3). This constant negativity can lead to low self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy in the child.

Invalidation of feelings and experiences

Toxic parents may dismiss or invalidate their childs emotions and experiences, making them feel unheard and unimportant (4). This can result in the child struggling to trust their own feelings and experiences in adulthood.

Source: (4) Gibson, L. C. (2015). Adult children of emotionally immature parents: How to heal from distant, rejecting, or self-involved parents. New Harbinger Publications.

Inappropriate role reversal

In some toxic parent-child relationships, the parent may expect their child to fulfill their emotional needs, creating an unhealthy codependency (5). This role reversal can be burdensome and confusing for the child, who may feel responsible for their parents happiness.

Frequent anger and aggression

An environment where anger, hostility, or aggression is commonplace can be toxic for a child (6). This type of behavior can create fear and anxiety, as well as affect the childs ability to form healthy relationships in the future.

Lack of empathy and support

A toxic parent may lack empathy and understanding, failing to provide the emotional support their child needs (7). This can leave the child feeling isolated and emotionally disconnected from their parent.

Recognizing the warning signs of a toxic parent-child relationship is the first step in addressing the issue and seeking help. If you suspect that you or someone you know may be involved in a toxic parent-child relationship, consider seeking support from a mental health professiona...

5 Psychological Effects of Toxic Parenting Awareness Act

Toxic parenting is a term used to describe parenting behaviors that are harmful, manipulative, or emotionally destructive to a childs well-being. While every parent makes mistakes from time to time, toxic parenting involves a pattern of negative behaviors that leave a lasting impact on a childs mental health. In this article, we will explore the five psychological effects of toxic parenting and offer suggestions on overcoming these challenges.

Low self-esteem

Toxic parenting can cause children to develop low self-esteem as they internalize the negative messages they receive from their parents. This can lead to feelings of unworthiness and an inability to trust their own judgment, even as they grow into adulthood.

Overcoming this effect: Engage in self-affirming activities and surround yourself with supportive people who uplift and encourage you. Therapy can also help to rebuild self-esteem by identifying and challenging negative thought patterns.

Difficulty forming healthy relationships

Children who grow up in toxic environments often have difficulty forming and maintaining healthy relationships in adulthood. They may struggle with trust issues, fear of abandonment, or an inability to communicate effectively.

Overcoming this effect: Invest time in understanding and acknowledging your relationship patterns. Seek therapy to help address underlying issues, and consider joining support groups to connect with others who have experienced similar challenges.

Anxiety and depression

Toxic parenting can contribute to the development of anxiety and depression in children. Constant criticism, neglect, or unrealistic expectations can create feelings of hopelessness and despair, leading to long-term mental health struggles.

Overcoming this effect: Speak with a mental health professional about your experiences and explore various treatment options, such as therapy, support groups, or medication. Establish a self-care routine that incorporates exercise, healthy eating, and relaxation techniques to help manage symptoms.

Difficulty setting boundaries

Growing up in a toxic environment often means that boundaries are either non-existent or constantly violated. As a result, children may have difficulty recognizing and setting appropriate boundaries in their adult relationships.

Overcoming this effect: Educate yourself on the importance of healthy boundaries and practice asserting them in your relationships. Therapy can also provide valuable guidance on setting and maintaining boundaries, as well as addressing any feelings of guilt or fear that may arise.

Inability to self-regulate emotions

Toxic parents may not model effective emotional regulation, leaving their children ill-equipped to manage their own feelings. This can lead to emotional outbursts, difficulty coping with stress, and a tendency to internalize emotions.

Overcoming this e...

US sees in Finland's NATO accession encirclement of Russia Signs of the Times

The national flag of Finland was raised for the first time at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Brussels on Tuesday, which also marked the 74th anniversary of the western alliance. It signifies for Finland a historic abandonment of its policy of neutrality. Not even propagandistically, anyone can say Finland has encountered a security threat from Russia. This is an act of motiveless malignity toward Russia on the part of the NATO, which of course invariably carries the imprimatur of the US, while being projected to the world audience as a sovereign choice by Finland against the backdrop of Russia's intervention in Ukraine. Quintessentially, this can only be regarded as yet another move by the US, after the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines last September, with the deliberate intent to complicate Russia's relations with Europe and render it intractable for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, suffice it to say, this will also make Europe's...

UK will house 500 adult male migrants in giant BARGE at cost of over 20,000 per day Signs of the Times

A giant vessel docked off the Dorset coast will be used to hold hundreds of asylum seekers, the Home Office has confirmed, despite legal threats from local Tories. The barge, called the Bibby Stockholm, will be berthed in Portland Port for at least 18 months and will accommodate about 500 single adult males while their claims are processed. The Home Office said the accommodation will be "basic" with healthcare provision, catering facilities and 24/7 security. It did not say how much the lease agreement cost but insisted it is "significantly cheaper than hotels".

When Nicola Sturgeon thought she had finished her resignation press conference at Bute House in February, and was gathering up her speaking notes, she was asked a direct question that seemed to make her grimace. Glenn Campbell, BBC Scotland's political editor, asked her: "Have you been, or do you expect to be, interviewed by the police who are looking into your party's finances." Sturgeon's response, given with a tense shake of her head, was brisk: "I'm not going to discuss an ongoing police investigation. I wouldn't do that on any issue and I'm not going to do it now."

The links between the British Royal Family and the slave trade Signs of the Times

The Tudor Queen was connected to Sir John Hawkins, who as a vice-admiral had helped defeat the Spanish Armada. Later, in 1562, he shipped a cargo of slaves across the Atlantic. He traded the 300 Africans he had captured in Sierra Leone for pearls and sugar. 'His missions were so lucrative that Queen Elizabeth I sponsored his subsequent journeys and provided ships, supplies and guns. She also gave him a unique coat of arms bearing a bound slave,' according to Royal Museums Greenwich, which includes the National Maritime Museum. Hawkins' trips began a grisly period in which millions of captured men, women and children were taken from West Africa to work in England's American colonies in the most horrific conditions.

France's protest escalate as railway workers briefly invade BlackRock building, they vow to continue as 'We're the only check on Macron' Signs of the Times

Dozens of trade unionists railing against French President Emmanuel Macron's pension overhaul briefly invaded the central Paris building in which U.S.-brd investment firm BlackRock has an office, chanting slogans and setting off firecrackers. The union action in the historical Centorial building near Paris' Grand Boulevards area, targetted BlackRock because of its private pension fund activity, protester Franoise Onic, 51, told Reuters. Comment: BlackRock has its tentacles in much more than just pensions: BlackRock's tyrannical ESG agenda "The government wants to throw away pensions, it wants to force people to fund their own retirement with private pension funds, but what we know is that only the rich will be able to benefit from such a setup," Onic, a school teacher, added.

Former editor claims Russian Wikipedia biased against Russia Signs of the Times

Wikipedia has become "increasingly anti-Russian" during the past decade and its policy has worsened substantially since the start of the conflict in Ukraine a year ago, a former editor at the "Participants with pro-Russian views were blocked," and "...articles about Russian achievements were deleted," from the platform over the past nine years, Arseny Natapov told the BRIEF Telegram channel on Tuesday. In 2014, a violent coup in the Ukrainian capital led to Crimea's reunification with Russia and the outbreak of conflict in Donbass. This provoked a spike in tensions between Moscow and the West, which imposed sanctions on Russia and intensified Western military buildups near its borders. Soon, these tensions were reflected online. Insiders believed Wikipedia had adopted an anti-Russia posture which, the former editor pointed out, deteriorated even further in late 2021, shortly before the launch of Russia's military...

The West sets a disturbing new precedent over murdered Russian military blogger Signs of the Times

Apparently terrorism and murdering reporters get a free pass if the Western establishment doesn't like the target's profile - or if the perpetrator risks being linked to an ally. The radio silence from the West is deafening in the wake of the murder of military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky at a cafe in St. Petersburg. Tatarsky was killed after being handed a statue by a young woman, Darya Trepova, that subsequently blew up the entire venue. For all of the Western officials' differences with Russia, can they really not at least bring themselves to condemn a blatant act of terrorism in the middle of a major city center? We're talking here about the same folks who spent two decades kicking down doors around the world under the guise of fighting a "Global War on Terrorism." Just a few years ago, cartoonists and writers for the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo were gunned down in broad daylight at their Paris office by jihadists who objected to the publication's portrayal of Islam...

Seize property to build wind and solar farms, says JP Morgan chief Signs of the Times

The chief executive of JP Morgan has suggested that governments should seize private land to build wind and solar farms in order to meet net zero targets. Jamie Dimon, the longstanding boss of the Wall Street titan who donates to the Democratic Party, said green energy projects must be fast-tracked as the window for averting the most costly impacts of global climate change is closing. Comment: That darn window. It's been stuck in the closing rapidly position for the past 25 years at least. Someone close it already! In his annual shareholder letter, Mr Dimon said: "Permitting reforms are desperately needed to allow investment to be done in any kind of timely way. "We may even need to evoke eminent domain - we simply are not getting the adequate investments fast enough for grid, solar, wind and pipeline initiatives." Eminent domain is when a government or state agency carries out a compulsory purchase of private property for public use and compensates the asset holder.

A Message to Scottsdale, Arizona : Regarding the Construction of Cop City in Atlanta, Georgia CrimethInc.

In Atlanta, Georgia, the city government is attempting to destroy the last remaining stretch of forest in order to build a vast training center for police. For two years now, a vibrant self-organized movement has mobilized to defend the forest, despite the police doling out terrorism charges indiscriminately and utilizing lethal violence to protect their cash cow. The latest phase of this movement hinges on an effort to persuade insurance providers who are providing coverage to the project that such conduct is unworthy of them. Foremost among these insurance providers is the Scottsdale Insurance Company.

But who is located in Scottsdale, Arizona?

Theres Greenpeace, of course, which defeated a frivolous RICO case similar to the one that Atlanta prosecutors are threatening to bring against those mobilizing to protect the forest. There are Indigenous activists, individual police abolitionists, and probably some punks, too. But many other groups should be concerned about Cop City, which will be used to train militarized police around the country. Towards that end, we present a series of appeals addressed to various community organizations in the vicinity of the Scottsdale Insurance Company in Arizona.

Stop Cop City.

The Satanic Temple of Arizona

Greetings, colleagues.

We have admired your organization from afar for some time now. The Baphomet statue is iconic, of course, but your efforts to organize street-level protection for Muslims in Minneapolis earned you our esteem. Thank you for pushing back against Christian hegemony and authoritarianism in general.

State Department warns passport processing delayed amid 'unprecedented demand' Signs of the Times

Any American needing a passport to travel outside the U.S. in the near future had better get their applications in quickly. The State Department says processing delays amid "unprecedented demand" mean it could now take more than four months to receive a passport. The agency recently extended estimated processing times by two weeks to an estimated 10 to 13 weeks for routine applications and 7 to 9 weeks for expedited submissions. Add on two weeks for mailing in an expired passport and another two weeks in the mail for receiving the new one, and eager travelers should expect a wait time extending into August if they begin the process today. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was asked about the delays in testimony before the House Appropriations Committee last week, when he explained "an unprecedented demand for renewed travel" has resulted in the agency receiving roughly 500,000 passport applications a week - a 30% to 40% increase from last year. Blinken said the State Department...

First direct evidence of drug use as part of Bronze Age ritual ceremonies in Europe Signs of the Times

An analysis of human hair strands recovered from a burial site in Menorca, Spain, reveals that ancient human civilizations used hallucinogenic drugs derived from plants. According to the researchers, the findings are the first direct evidence of ancient drug use in Europe, which may have been used as part of ritualistic ceremonies. Previous evidence of prehistoric drug use in Europe was based on indirect evidence, such as the discovery of opium alkaloids in Bronze Age containers, the discovery of drug plant remains in ritualistic contexts, and the appearance of drug plants in artistic depictions. Researchers detected scopolamine, ephedrine, and atropine in three replicated hair samples. Atropine and scopolamine are naturally occurring substances in the nightshade plant family that can cause delirium, hallucinations, and altered sensory perception. Ephedrine is a stimulant derived from certain shrubs and pines that can boost excitement, alertness, and physical activity. Elisa...

Idaho, Indiana governors sign bills prohibiting gender-reassignment surgeries for minors Signs of the Times

The governors of Idaho and Indiana signed bills this week that prohibit minors from accessing gender-reassignment surgery. On Tuesday, Governor Brad Little (R., Idaho) signed a bill that would criminalize physicians and medical practitioners who provide hormone treatments, puberty blockers, and/or surgeries to minors. "In signing this bill, I recognize our society plays a role in protecting minors from surgeries or treatments that can irreversibly damage their healthy bodies," Little wrote in a letter addressed to state lawmakers upon signing the bill. "However, as policymakers we should take great caution whenever we consider allowing the government to interfere with loving parents and their decisions about what is best for their children." State Democrats have condemned the legislation.

Violence erupts at Al-Aqsa Mosque for a 2nd night Signs of the Times

Israeli forces conducted violent raids on the Al Aqsa Mosque compound two nights in a row, beating worshipers and forcing Palestinians out of the holy site in order to make way for Jewish pilgrims on Passover. On Wednesday evening , the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem was full of Muslim worshippers praying into the night during the holy month of Ramadan. Earlier that morning, worshipers were beaten, and forced out of the holy mosque's prayer halls. In the midst of night prayers Wednesday, Israeli forces stormed the compound again with weapons and riot gear, unleashing a coordinated and organized attack against worshippers for the second time in less than 24 hours. TRANSLATION: YESTERDAY'S SCENE IS REPEATED. THE OCCUPATION FORCES STORM THE QIBLI PRAYER HALL AND BEAT THE WORSHIPERS INSIDE IT. As Israeli Jewish settlers rally for holding Passover animal sacrifices in the mosque's compound, Muslim worshippers continue to be attacked with teargas, beatings, and extended imprisonment in some...

ADL "anti-hate" group attacks Substack for misinformation while actively promoting misinformation Signs of the Times

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is on a quest to attack and smear organizations that support free speech. For some reason they do not understand the basic tenets of the United States Constitution and why the first amendment is the most critical element a society has to maintain freedom and to address any and all issues we have in front of us. Their website defines themselves as being "the leading anti-hate organization in the world." They also say that they work "to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all." The "inclusive society for all" is of question. But more in question is their shift from an organization that focuses on inclusion, as they state, to one that attacks those that discuss issues that they do not agree with or that may go against Big Pharma, Big Business, or the government. More disturbing, they ignore serious cases of blackmail and pedophilia such as the Epstein case and the massive child pornography found on social media platforms. Isn't...

Sick of same old crime and violence, Chicago tries electing a Democrat this time Signs of the Times

After a century of electing nothing but Democrats and getting only corruption, death, and poverty in return, Chicago residents have decided to make a change to the status quo by electing a different Democrat this time. "Maybe this Democrat will be different," said one local business owner while sweeping up the broken glass from her store after getting robbed for the 15th time this year. "We tried Democrats 4 years ago, and also before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, and before that, going back to the early 1900s. I sure wish there was some other kind of thing we could choose that would help." "Oh well." As violence and despair continue to rise in the city, Chicago remains hopeful that maybe this Democrat politician implementing the same Democrat policies will somehow achieve a better result than all the other times it's been tried. "I sure hope something...

Building community: "The No Asshole Rule" Signs of the Times

What is the "No Asshole Rule"? Glad you asked! In 2007, Dr. Robert Sutton wrote the classic book titled "The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn't". It can all be summed up in a few simple statements. Basically, avoid assholes at all costs, no matter how rich or powerful they might be. That being around an asshole is contagious. That chronic exposure to such nastiness will eventually rub off. Because such behavior is an "emotional contagion" - the odds are that if a company hires assholes, the corporate culture will become toxic. If a corporate culture becomes toxic due to assholes, it can be very difficult if not impossible to change. The back part of the book is about how to survive having to work for or with assholes without becoming one yourself. In Dr. Sutton's opinion, assholes are bullies, creeps, jerks, tyrants, tormentors, despots, backstabbers and egomaniacs. When I first read this book over a decade ago, I was just in the midst of...

Thousands of British pubs facing financial ruin Signs of the Times

Thousands of pubs in the UK may be forced to shut down this year due to soaring gas prices, the Daily Mail has reported. More than 1,000 pubs closed in the UK in 2022, including 485 in the first six months of the year and another 554 between July and December - "a staggering rate of 21 per week," the Mail reported on Sunday, citing figures from consumer organization the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). The British pub industry was hit hard by Covid-related restrictions in 2020 and 2021. Last year saw gas prices skyrocket amid the economic fallout from the Ukraine conflict and sanctions against Russia, which was a major European gas supplier. Some pubs have reported a tripling of their monthly electricity bills, with one owner being charged a "whopping 2,097 [$2,600] for just 10 days' worth of energy," the Daily Mail reported. The figures come as the UK government's Energy Bill Relief Scheme, which had capped energy costs, came to an [end] on Friday. A new plan providing discounts on...

JPMorgan's ties to Epstein more sinister, lawsuit claims Signs of the Times

A plaintiff in an existing suit wants to add new charges against the bank for its alleged complicity in the late financier's sex-trafficking scheme... The US Virgin Islands is seeking to add a new obstruction charge to its lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase, claiming that the banking giant benefited from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking operation, US media reported on Wednesday, citing a new filing in Manhattan federal court. The Monday filing referred to a recent deposition by JPMorgan employee Mary Erdoes, who runs an asset management division of the bank where Epstein was a client. According to the filing, the obstruction charge was proposed after it emerged that the bank had processed large cash withdrawals for Epstein and his associates, thus helping impede enforcement of a US anti-trafficking law and allowing Epstein to evade criminal liability. Furthermore, the filing alleged that Epstein's dealings had been "so widely known at JPMorgan that senior...

This bright bolide was spotted over Spain on April 5, at 21:20 local time (equivalent to 19:20 universal time). The fireball was observed by a wide number of casual eyewitnesses, who reported it on social networks. The event was generated by a rock (a meteoroid) from an asteroid that hit the atmosphere at about 54,000 km/h. The fireball overflew the provinces of Ciudad Real and Albacete (Spain). It began at an altitude of about 81 km over the locality of Ruidera (province of Ciudad Real), moved southeast, and ended at a height of around 46 km over the locality of Pozo Caada (province of Albacete). This bright meteor was recorded in the framework of the SMART project, operated by the Southwestern Europe Meteor Network (SWEMN) from the meteor-observing stations located at Ayora (Valencia), Huelva, La Hita (Toledo), Calar Alto, Sierra Nevada, La Sagra (Granada), Sevilla, and Faro de Cullera (Valencia). Alex Saab: The Venezuelan Diplomat Kidnapped by the United States with Alex Saurez MintPress News

The U.S. is now kidnapping foreign diplomats. That is what happened to businessman Alex Saab in 2020. Saab was on a diplomatic mission for the government of Venezuela, en route to an official meeting with Iranian officials to discuss economic cooperation between the two nations.

The Trump administration grounded Saabs plane in Cabo Verde off the west coast of Africa and hauled him off the plane, supposedly on charges of corruption.

This week, Lee Camp interviews an expert on the extraordinary rendition of the Venezuelan diplomat. Alex Suarez is an activist and author of The Diplomat, a book that explores Saabs case in detail.

Suarez told Camp today.

Hes stuck there for over a year, and actually, the U.N. looked into it, and the African Union also did an investigation. He was tortured, physical torture by U.S. agents. He was beaten to the point where he lost teeth. This is a man whos a cancer survivor in remission.

He was extradited to the U.S. in October 2021 and is currently being held in Florida. Last December, a judge denied him diplomatic immunity on a conspiracy to commit money laundering charge that could result in a 20-year sentence. All this despite possessing an official diplomatic passport and being on official Venezuelan government business when he was kidnapped.

Saabs story is rarely covered by the corporate press, even by those looking for every excuse to attack the Trump administration for breaking norms. In 2021, MintPress flew out to Venezuela to interview Saabs wife, Camila, and to bring his case to an international audience.

The U.S. State Departments decades-long war on Venezuela has used sanctions, coups, and color revolutions to try and take down the Venezuelan government since Hugo Chavez won power in 1999. A United Nations special rapporteur who visited the country estimated that U.S. aggression has caused the deaths of at least 100,000 Venezuelans. Saab, in his own way, is another victim of this constant attack.

In 2010, he was appointed as a special envoy by the Venezuelan government to negotiate trade agreements with other countries. He played a key role in developing economic ties between Venezuela and countries such as Turkey, Iran, and Russia. He also led efforts to import food and medicine into Venezuela during the nations U.S.-imposed...

Dozens of rockets pound Israel from Lebanon in most serious escalation since 2006 war Signs of the Times

The prior days of clashes and tensions at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa Mosque are spiraling toward broader conflict in Gaza and along Israel's northern border as on Thursday afternoon a barrage of rockets was fired from Lebanon. Rocket sirens have been sounding in the towns of Betzet and Shlomi in the Western Galilee, close to the border, while the IDF says its Iron Dome system intercepted at least one of the projectiles. There are emerging reports of at least person wounded by shrapnel on the Israeli side. No group has claimed responsibility for the rockets, but Hezbollah is the prime armed group operating in southern Lebanon. Some reports say the rocket salvo was launched from Palestinian refugee camps, and thus might not have been approved by Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shia group backed by Iran. According to The Times of Israel, it's a likely directly response to the recent Israeli police raids on al-Aqsa Mosque during Muslim holy days: There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but...

"Their Orders Come from Renegade Principalities and Powers Who Get their Orders from The Dark Lord Himself." Reflections in a Petri Dish

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

It has been some years now since we have been talking about the spread of Insanity across the country and around The World... due to the increase of Materialism. Surely it has been more than a decade and possibly two decades. I know I have been seeing it for longer than that.

It first came to my attention in the 60s. Anyone who was present for them can agree with me that they were pretty crazy times. Certainly... a big part of it was the drugs. Drugs open areas of The Mind that were previously inactive. It was a time of spiritual awakening, AND... it was a time of sexual awakening... because we have a material body, AND... several immaterial bodies.

A lot of what happened had to do with the stage of collective human evolution that was present at the time it happened. A great many people were deeply asleep and did not wake up the whole time. Many of them have not awakened since; have even bred children who haven't awakened either.... and who have also had children who have not awakened.

The Dream Manipulators have been around for a long time. Until technology made a wider material reach possible, they worked through telepathic invasion and social conditioning that was built around laws created by the lawmakers to keep everyone in their own grazing areas. The metaphorical wolves in sheep's clothing have been around for ages. They are part of the dramas that make life interesting.

When The Sexual Revolution arrived they were Johnny-on-The-Spot. The Spiritual Awakening was also a revolution in thought. On the one hand, you had sensory exploration. On the other hand, you had extra-sensory exploration. The force of Materialism accelerated the sexual dynamic and it hasn't stopped to take a breath since.

The sexual experience is a limited engagement. The satiation period is brief and it eventually leads to the desire to go deeper... to go further... to go off the beaten path. Two drugs played a big part in the escalation of serial sexual activity. They were Cocaine and Ecstasy. Cocaine amplified the diabolical aspect of sexual encounters. It makes whatever you get up to okay. It makes evil and depraved behaviors magnetically attractive. There was a fake spirituality about Cocaine initially... until the depravity angle hit full-bore.

Cocaine and Disco dovetailed and opened the saloon doors that swing both ways. The Gay Thing took off, especially in the cities w...

Passive Income Made Easy: 5 Best Platforms to Get Started in 2023 The Event Chronicle

In todays fast-paced world, making money has become more than just a necessity, its a way of life. But not everyone has the time or energy to work long hours or take on additional jobs to increase their income. This is where passive income comes in handy. Passive income is an income stream that requires little to no effort to maintain. Here are five of the best platforms to get started with passive income in 2023.

1. Dividend Stocks

Source: investopedia.com

Dividend stocks are shares of companies that pay out a portion of their earnings to shareholders. This is a great way to earn passive income without much effort. As long as you invest in a company that has a history of paying dividends, you can earn a steady stream of income for years to come. The best part about dividend stocks is that you dont need a lot of money to get started. You can invest as little as $50 in some cases.

2. Rental Properties

If you have some extra cash lying around and are willing to put in a bit of effort, rental properties can be an excellent source of passive income. By renting out a property, you can earn a steady stream of income each month. The trick is to find the right property in the right location. You can also hire a property management company to take care of everything for you, making it a truly passive income stream.

3. Peer-to-Peer Lending

Peer-to-peer lending is a relatively new concept that has taken the finance industry by storm. It allows individuals to lend money to other individuals or businesses and earn interest on their investments. This is a great way to earn passive income without having to deal with the complexities of the stock market or real estate. With platforms like LendingClub and Goxapp, you can invest as little as $25 in loans and earn returns of up to 10% or more.

All About Nuts: Eight Healthiest Varieties Terra Forming Terra

This needs to be shared. At least they are all now readily available and in generally fresh form. They all can go rancid and that is annoying.

It has taken a long time, but all these nuts are readily available, even in peeled form  I just picked up a package of Brazil nuts, peeled from Costco for the first time.

Thus all forms of nuts have slowly come fully into the market.  It really has not been easy.  But here we are.

Do you want a quick, easy, no-prep snack that can keep you fueled on-the-go while reducing your risk of disease and death? It sounds nuts -- and it is nuts!

If you are interested in maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle, nuts are, quite simply, a food group you need in your life. Compact and convenient, in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and flavor profiles, nuts are an easy way to boost nutrition and energy levels without any preparation required.

Besides being portable and easy to consume, eating nuts has been shown to improve heart health and reduce mortality from cardiovascular disease.[i] Consumption of tree nuts and even peanuts (technically a legume, but nutritionally similar) has been significantly associated with a reduced risk of certain cancers...

Energy-saving Paint Inspired by Butterflies Needs 0.3% Paint by Weight Terra Forming Terra

This is the invention of structural paint. It can even be produced in flake4s and placed in a binder ,just like a pigment.  That will at least make is easier to roll out.

The return of silvopasture Terra Forming Terra

Yes is certainly the future of agriculture.  Our current field system which arose because of mechanization and its demands is actually unsustainable as currently operated.  The boys are literally mining the soil and adding soluables to augment losses.  Not good and must end.

Modern cattle husbandry is now shifting to tight rotational grazing in which the top third is grazed and then left.  This method actually doubles the grazing load while adding carbon to the soil.  It takes about twenty years for former crop land to be restored to its natural carbon load.  who would have ever thought this.  None of us did and i was there.

It also follows that nontill methods can follow up and rolldown the active sod while planting annual crops into your field.  This can be actually enhancing the whole process.

Now let us talk about trees. I observed a lone tree on a grazed pasture which beside providing shade, had supper rich and dense grass in the shaded zone.  This was even with active grazing underway.  Or maybe not as i do not recall that.  The point was that the rest of the field was dry and weedy while here was the best grass.

It follows that all such pastures really benefit from SPACED tree cover.  The sun has to get in to drive the grass but only be shaded for a couple of  hours.  This simply does not happen naturally.  It also follows that properly managed and SPACED trees will grow quickly and if properly pruned to produce a minimum twelve foot saw log, will create value.

he sage and his foibles Terra Forming Terra

It is remarkable that we have anthing, but do recall that books were now a commodity back in the day and he became well known.  Also a business letter to a ruler is just what would be kept in the rtecords leading to actual copying for a salable book over tyhe next two centuries when the Alexanderian world exploded into existence.

He was also esteemed.  Wheras Jesus did not write a thing yet was captured by trained memory retention transcribed into text inside decades of his passing because his thought was also esteemed.

So my first comment is that it is really risky to dismiss any such material unless you can prove the existence of a market for false attribution centuries later.  After all all letters have an individual as an intended reader and an objective as well  This is not where your finest thinking is put on display.

The fact is that we have a body written material sharing even his day to day corespondence and often as not taken by a scribe...

Criticizing Government Leaders is now a Crime #MacronOrdure Armstrong Economics

Free speech no longer exists. People are now scared to speak out against their government as if they were in the old USSR. Emmanuel Macron is an absolute tyrant and the French people have had enough. The protests in France over pension reforms receive little news coverage by design. The elite do not want the people to see how tyrannical governments across the world have become.

A French woman is facing criminal charges for simply speaking out against Macron on her personal Facebook page. Stormy Daniels Forced to Pay Trumps Legal Fees Armstrong Economics

Stormy Daniels, the ill-advised Jezebel, has been ordered by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to pay Donald Trumps legal fees. Daniels would not have chosen a career in on-camera prostitution if she were smart enough to extort a former president. Someone is advising her behind the scenes. In this particular instance, Daniels attempted to sue Trump for defamation for a tweet he posted depicting her ex-husband alongside an unknown man who she said was threatening her to remain silent. The judge completely dismissed this case from 2018 as her argument that the fee request is unreasonable and excessive is not well-founded. She has been ordered to pay $121,000 in legal fees on top of hundreds of thousands that she already owes Trump.

The media is painting Stormy Daniels (born Stephanie A Gregory) as this innocent victim who fell prey to a powerful man who she said seduced her. Consider the source. I will not post some of her most recent tweets on this blog as they are too foul to share, but you can view them for...

Why Trumps Indictment is an Absurd Abuse of Power Armstrong Economics

Bragg has seriously exposed the core of real immoral prosecution practices that really have to stop. Lets say you made one phone call and defrauded someone out of $100,000. You will be charged with (1) count of wire fraud. However, lets say you had to call the person 34 times to get the same $100,000. The prosecutor will then charge you with 34 counts of wire fraud. Now lets say the penalty is 5 years in prison. So if you called 34 times for the same amount of money,  the judge could then sentence you to 170 years claiming it is his discretion to run them all consecutively.

Bragg charged Trump with 34 criminal counts connected to the payment of $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 as part of a nondisclosure agreement that was intended to keep Daniels from exposing their 2006 affair. Those charges are all various counts of filing false business records in the first degree, which could carry a sentence of up to four years in prison per count. Thats a crime that is normally a misdemeanor that can ONLY be upgraded to a felony if the alleged fraud is meant to cover up another crime.

This is where the ABUSE of power becomes self-evident. The other crime, in this case, is a federal campaign finance violation for which Trump has NOT been charged and Bragg would have no jurisdiction to charge. The indictment claims that Trump allegedly committed the underlying fraud as part of an effort to boost his chances of winning the 2016 presidential election.

So, to put this in plain laymans terms, he is effectively charging you for something like buying a bullet in NYC, that you used in Paris in some attempt to kill someone but you are not being charged with that because you cannot be in the United States.

Politicians & Scandals Always Armstrong Economics

Thank you for being the only reliable sources these days

ANSWER: You must be referring to the 2008 Countrywide Financial Scandal. There was a political loan scandal in 2008-2009 that involved U.S. politicians who allegedly received favorable mortgage rates. In June 2008 Conde Nast Portfolio reported that numerous Washington, DC politicians over recent years had received mortgage financing at noncompetitive rates at Countrywide Financial because the corporation placed the officeholders in a program called FOAsFriends of Angelo, Countrywides Chief Executive Angelo Mozilo.

The politicians who obtained such favorable financing included the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Christopher Dodd (D-CT), and the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, Kent Conrad (D-ND). Countrywides political action committee had also made large donations to Dodds campaign.

The banking crisis gets worse: $1.7 trillion in unrealized losses loom as US banks rapidly bleed deposits Signs of the Times

If our banking system can't find a way to turn things around, our entire economy will soon be in a world of hurt. When banks get into trouble, they start getting really tight with their money. That means fewer mortgages, fewer commercial real estate loans, fewer auto loans and fewer credit cards being issued. So it should greatly concern all of us that U.S. banks are bleeding deposits at an absolutely staggering pace right now. During the week ending March 15th, 98.4 billion dollars was pulled out of U.S. banks. That was really bad, but we just learned that things got even worse the next week. During the week ending March 22nd, 126 billion dollars was pulled out of U.S. banks... Depositors drained another $126 billion from U.S. banks during the week ending March 22, according to new Federal Reserve data. This time the outflow came from the nation's largest institutions.

While the participants kept a tight lid on leaks, informed sources from both Moscow and Damascus disclosed to The Cradle that the Syrian and Russian presidents discussed the following issues: Economic ties: With a focus on Syria's energy sector, Putin expressed Russia's readiness to invest in the production of electricity in the Levantine state, which post-conflict, suffers from a 75 percent deficit in production. Putin also expressed Moscow's willingness to help Syria meet its vital grain needs.

The World Economic Forum and the West's next act? Signs of the Times

If you are a consumer today, inflation is only one of the problems harming you. As prices go up, quality continues to go down. What most stores have to offer you might crassly be called "cheap crap." In fact, economic writer Charles Hugh Smith has repeatedly warned that the "crapification" of the U.S. economy is the natural result of a "neoliberal-hyper-financialization-hyper-globalization model," in which quasi-monopolist manufacturers mass-produce goods with the cheapest possible components, while customers with scant other buying options are forced to accept that few purchases will last. "Planned obsolescence," combined with a free market "in name only," creates a rigged system in which downstream consumers are forced to pay more over time, while owning little that will maintain value for long. Appliances that used to work for decades now barely make it through legally required warranty periods. Metal tools that could be passed from one generation to the next now tend to rust...

Leonardo DiCaprio testifies that CCP-linked Malaysian financier, now a fugitive, sent $30 million to Obama during 2012 campaign Signs of the Times

Movie star Leonardo DiCaprio took the stand in a federal trial on Monday that seeks to hammer down the details of what appears to be a money-funneling scheme that features a Malaysian financier funneling tens of millions of dollars through a prominent 90s rap artist for the purpose of donating to former President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. DiCaprio plays into the saga because he was said to have partied with Jho Low, a Malaysian financier who apparently suggested to DiCaprio once during a conversation that he intended to contribute to Obama's presidential campaign, according to the New York Post. DiCaprio said: "It was a casual conversation about what party he was in support of, I told him what party I was in support of. And he told me that he, or he and a group, were going to make a significant contribution to the Democratic Party. ... I said 'wow, that's a lot of money.'" Here's why simply living in the US is likely to reduce your life expectancy Signs of the Times

The average American lifespan keeps getting shorter, even as comparably rich countries rebound and recover after Covid-19 Recently, National Public Radio (NPR) in the US published a story titled 'Live free and die? The sad state of US life expectancy' that explored the great divide between the United States and peer countries on life expectancy. While most countries experienced a dip during the Covid-19 pandemic and rebounded after vaccines and other treatments were rolled out, American life expectancy has essentially fallen off a cliff and never came back. The graph published by NPR is shocking. It shows that US life expectancy is lower than in Cuba or Lebanon. The number has been known since just before Christmas when health officials announced that the country's life expectancy had dropped starkly for a second year in a row to 76 years. However, last week more bad news arrived after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that maternal mortality in the...

'Guerrilla group' claims responsibility for Tatarsky bombing Signs of the Times

The St. Petersburg division of the so-called National Republican Army (NRA) has claimed it was behind the murder of military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, according to a Telegram statement shared by former Russian State Duma Deputy Ilya Ponomarev. Ponomarev, who has been branded a "foreign agent" by Moscow, previously claimed to be the mouthpiece of the NRA, although there is no conclusive evidence that the group actually exists. According to the statement, the NRA carried out the attack against "a group of Z-activists and personally against the well-known arsonist and propagandist, war criminal Maksim Fomin," referring to Tatarsky's real name. The group insisted that the bombing was "prepared and carried out by us autonomously," and without assistance from foreign forces or special services. The NRA also denied the involvement of Darya Trepova, who is the main suspect in the blogger's assassination.

The bombing, which also wounded 40 people, has been classified as a terrorist attack.

France braces for further protests Signs of the Times

French trade unions called for record turnout at protests on Thursday, after negotiations with the government over a controversial pension reform bill broke down. France has been consumed by protests and riots since President Emmanuel Macron's government hiked the retirement age without a vote in parliament. Union representatives met with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne on Wednesday, warning beforehand that they would walk out if Borne refused to entertain the idea of bringing the retirement age for most workers back to 62 from 64. Borne refused, and the union representatives walked out, calling for strikes and mass demonstrations the following day. Cyril Chabanier, who heads the CFTC union, told reporters: "We again told the prime minister that the only democratic outcome could be the text's withdrawal. The prime minister replied that she wished to maintain the text, a grave decision." Sophie Binet, leader of the CGT union, said: "We decided to put an end to this useless meeting....

A mini-heart in a Petri dish Signs of the Times

A team at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has induced stem cells to emulate the development of the human heart. The result is a sort of "mini-heart" known as an organoid. It will permit the study of the earliest development phase of our heart and facilitate research on diseases. The human heart starts forming approximately three weeks after conception. This places the early phase of heart development in a time when women are often still unaware of their pregnancy. That is one reason why we still have little knowledge of many details of how the heart is formed. Findings from animal studies are not fully transferable to humans. An organoid developed at TUM could prove helpful to researchers. A ball of 35,000 cells The team working with Alessandra Moretti, Professor of Regenerative Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, has developed a method for making a sort of "mini-heart" using pluripotent stem cells. Around 35,000 cells are spun into a sphere in a centrifuge. Over a period...

How old is Gobekli Tepe? (updated) Signs of the Times

In an earlier post I suggested the earliest phase of construction of GT could be in the Younger Dryas period. This is because enclosure D is so well crafted and so large, that it is unlikely to have been the first construction of its kind. Other enclosures must have preceded it, acting as templates or precursors for its design. Given that ground penetrating radar scans show that other large structures remain to be uncovered, and that the enclosures excavated so far represent only 5-10% of the site, it seems unlikely we have excavated the oldest parts already. This idea is reinforced by the existence of enclosure E outside the main excavation area. It seems to be a rougher and less precise example than enclosure D, and so could be a precursor. Since it is missing its walls and pillars, it is possible they were re-used in the construction of enclosure D. But what about scientific evidence? Let's consider the facts. Regarding radiocarbon dates, the earliest radiocarbon dates reported...

The body of an 88-year-old Cape Town woman is believed to have only been discovered several hours after her neighbour's two pit bulls attacked and mauled her in her backyard. Olga Grill died after her neighbour's dogs assailed her in her backyard in Bonteheuwel on Tuesday. She is believed to have been hanging her laundry when the pair jumped over the fence and attacked. Her heartbroken son, Graham Woodman, 68, left home in the early hours of the morning for work. He had made her breakfast to tide her over until her carer arrived at 10:00. His mother was fiercely independent, Woodman said. She preferred to take care of herself, insisting that she could cook and clean for herself, despite his offers to do the household chores for her.

US efforts to ban TikTok are pure projection by the world's biggest spy power Signs of the Times

Washington is used to controlling the planet's top tech companies and doesn't want anyone to threaten its surveillance domination. As the United States contemplates a possible ban on TikTok, it relentlessly accuses Beijing of using the popular Chinese-owned social media application as a means of espionage, claiming that the Communist Party has access to user data. Ironically, Washington itself is known to be doing exactly what US politicians are accusing China of doing. Using the unique advantage of having jurisdiction over the world's top internet companies, the US has given itself the right to look into the private communications of foreign citizens anywhere in the world. Combine that data-sharing between intelligence agencies of the US and its allies, and you get the most comprehensive espionage regime in the world. While American politicians and media constantly talk about fears of Chinese espionage, the near-absence of coverage of Washington's own spying efforts ought to be a...

Seven tourists dead and many feared trapped by huge avalanche in India Signs of the Times

At least seven tourists have died and many are feared trapped after a major avalanche struck near a mountain pass in the northeast Indian state of Sikkim. The incident occurred at 11.30am (0600 GMT) on Tuesday near the Nathu La mountain pass, a popular destination for tourists on India's border with China. The avalanche struck a road that connects Gangtok to the Nathu La pass and the nearby Changu lake - another major tourist attraction. The Indian army has said five to six vehicles carrying up to 30 tourists were stuck under the snow after the avalanche. "By 3PM, 14 persons were rescued and taken to nearby Army medical facility. However, seven persons succumbed. The other seven persons were administered first aid and returned to Gangtok," the army statement, cited by several Indian media outlets, said.

April blizzard dumps 26 inches of snow in Casper, Wyoming - breaking 40-year snowfall record Signs of the Times

Snowfall in what has become a historic blizzard in central Wyoming has begun in Gillette, and it likely won't end until tonight. The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, is forecasting a 100% chance of heavy snow throughout the day today, enough so to issue a Winter Storm Warning for Gillette. Patchy blowing snow will be troublesome for travelers, particularly this afternoon. Today's forecast high is 24 degrees but with a northeast wind 16 to 20 mph and gusts reaching 31 mph, wind chills will dip as low as 7 degrees. Total daytime accumulation of 3 to 7 inches is possible. Gillette city officials issued a Level I Snow Emergency on Monday ahead of the storm. Elsewhere in the state, Casper saw the fall of a 40-year snowfall record in this storm with more than 26 inches of snow Monday. The previous record of just more than 24 inches was set in 1982, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

"Clearly, there are huge benefits to these things... what we need to do is identify the tricky areas," he noted.

While we're obsessing about the economy and the Fed, society is unraveling Signs of the Times

The market and the government will continue to promote and support a neofeudal status quo until they are forced by society to restore the common good and opportunity. Of the three primary dynamics of human endeavor--the market, government and society--we focus almost exclusively on the first two. Society is rarely considered as a force of its own. It is implicitly viewed as reactive to the market economy and government, the churning wake left as the market and government chart the course. In other words, society is secondary to the economy and governance, the venue of fashions, trends, entertainment, culture wars, etc., fodder for media and social media, a reflection of what's happening in the market and government. As I explain in my book Global Crisis, National Renewal, this is a misunderstanding of society's role as a force that changes the economy and governance in profound ways. We give social transformation short shrift because it's not easy to study or understand. Social...

Sinkhole in Brazil almost swallows up two fishermen Signs of the Times

It's never good when you go out on the water to catch some fish and the water tries to catch you instead... Two fisherman in Franca, Brazil were in for a little more than they bargained for when a sinkhole opened up underneath the water and started to pull in their jon boat. The terrifying video shows the two men fighting to keep their boat above water (or mud) as the sinkhole pulls everything in the near vicinity down below. The boat happened to be the perfect size, because the front and the back stayed on land just far enough apart to cover the length of the sinkhole. Almost looked like a classic Saturday morning cartoon gag.

The Everything Collapse Signs of the Times

Sadly, gold is now on its way to heights which are unthinkable for most people. Let me be clear, now is the time to protect whatever assets you have in order to avoid the total asset destruction that is coming next. More about this later in this article. 34-Count Felony Indictment of Former President Donald J. Trump The Black Vault

Below, you will find the 34-Count Felony Indictment of Former President Donald J. Trump, along with the Statement of Facts document.

Also included is the official press release by the Manhattan DA. This record is preserved here on The Black Vault for historical research purposes.

Official Manhattan DA Press Release

District Attorney Bragg Announces 34-Count Felony Indictment of Former President Donald J. Trump

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. today announced the indictment of DONALD J. TRUMP, 76, for falsifying New York business records in order to conceal damaging information and unlawful activity from American voters before and after the 2016 election. During the election, TRUMP and others employed a catch and kill scheme to identify, purchase, and bury negative information about him and boost his electoral prospects. TRUMP then went to great lengths to hide this conduct, causing dozens of false entries in business records to conceal criminal activity, including attempts to violate state and federal election laws.

TRUMP is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with 34 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree.

The People of the State of New York allege that Donald J. Trump repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal crimes that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election, said District Attorney Bragg. Manhattan is home to the countrys most significant business market. We cannot allow New York businesses to manipulate their records to cover up criminal conduct. As the Statement of Facts describes, the trail of money and lies exposes a pattern that, the People allege, violates one of New Yorks basic and fundamental business laws. As this office has done time and time again, we today uphold our solemn responsibility to ensure that everyone stands equal before the law.

According to court documents and statements made on the record in court, from August 2015 to December 2017, TRUMP orchestrated his catch and kill scheme through a series of payments that he then concealed through months of false business entries.

In one instance, American Media Inc. (AMI), paid $30,000 to a former Trump Tower doorman, who claimed to have a story about a child TRUMP had out of wedlock.

In a second instance, AMI paid $150,000 to a woman who alleged she had a sexual relationship with TRUMP. When TRUMP explicitly directed a lawyer who then worked for the Trump Organization as TRUMPs Special Counsel (Special Counsel) to reimburse AMI in cash, the Special Counsel indicated to TRUMP that the payment should be made via a shell company and not by cash. AMI ultimately declined to accept reimbursement after consulting their counsel. AMI, which later admitted its conduct was unlawful in an agreement with federal prosecutors, made...

How The Global South Has Risen in The Face of US Sabotage with Ajamu Baraka MintPress News

Ajamu Baraka is a former U.S. Green Party vice-presidential candidate, a longstanding political activist, and a spokesperson for the Black Alliance for Peace. He joins Lee Camp this week for an interview with Behind the Headlines.Chinas rise, U.S. meddling worldwide, international resistance to Western domination, and much more are covered in the hour.

It would be unbelievable just a few years ago to see that the Chinese are able to broker an agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia, that countries in Latin America would actually openly criticize U.S. policies, Baraka said, discussing signs that global power is shifting away from U.S. hegemony.

In 2002, Baraka co-founded the Black Alliance for Peace, a coalition of organizations working to end U.S. militarism and imperialism. He was also a founding member of the U.S. Human Rights Network. He publishes with, and edits for, Black Agenda Report and recently wrote an Iraq war retrospective where he argues that the U.S. is the greatest threat to world peace. As he explained:

The U.S.-based transnational ruling class is fully invested in the doctrine of U.S. Full Spectrum Dominance, and as a consequence, the U.S. state has become an existential threat to collective humanity on our planet.

The broad conversation between Baraka and Camp details the many ways that this threat from the U.S. manifests itself on the global stage. They address the corporate media demonizing enemies of the empire, the U.S. militarys global command structure, its neocolonial behavior, and the white supremacy inherent to U.S. hegemony.

Baraka explains how the U.S.-backed lawfare operation that got Brazilian President Lula da Silva thrown in jail happened, criticizes Lulas participation in the 2004 coup removing Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide from power, and considers the current situation with both Brazil and Mexico demanding sovereignty from U.S. domination.

They also cover the failures of the Black Lives Matter movement, Vice-President Kamala Harriss recent trip to Africa in the context of U.S. military activity through its African Command formation, and Barakas memories from his time in Palestine. As he told Camp:

Ive been to Palestine and Ill never go back. It was the most horrific experience of my life. And Ive been in war zones and everything else. But the daily degradation of the Palestinians is outrageous. I said when I went in 2014, if there was a documentary that got mass showing in the U.S. of the reality of a life in Palestine, I have enough confidence in the decency of the people of the U.S. that they would be outraged.

The decline and fall of urban America Signs of the Times

They're calling it 'revenge travel': the desire to make up for the touring opportunities we all lost when we were locked down in our pandemical homes. As a keen professional traveller, I confess I've got a fearsome case of this bug: I've spent the past 20 months going just about anywhere I can, playing catch up. Here's a brief list of the cities I have visited since mid-2021: Tbilisi, Seville, Munich, New Orleans, Lisbon, Reykjavik, Bangkok, Yerevan, Rome, Istanbul, Athens, Da Nang, Nashville, Los Angeles, Florence, Phnom Penh, Tucson. I could add a dozen more, but you get the gist. I've missed a terrific number of domestic social engagements; but I have recently seen quite a lot of the world and, more pertinently, seen how the urban world is coping post-pandemic. Conclusion? Every city has suffered in various ways, and the scars are visible. In East Asia the lingering lesions are psychological: they are all still wearing masks. In Europe, normal unmasked street life has returned,...

The Science of Nail Growth and Maby Created by CEO Tran Quang Has Changed Its Life The Event Chronicle

A number of biological and environmental elements interact to form the complex process of nail growth that affects manicures and pedicures. The tough protein keratin, which also makes up hair and the epidermis of the skin, gives nails their strength. Although everyones nail growth rate varies, fingernails grow 3.5 millimeters per month and toenails grow 1.6 millimeters per month on average. In this post, we will look at the science behind nail growth and the various factors that can influence it.

The Structure of Nails

Source: healthline.com

Before delving into the science of nail growth, it is critical to understand the anatomy of nails. The nail plate, nail bed, nail matrix, and cuticle are just a few of the layers that make up a set of nails. The skin beneath the nail plate is known as the nail bed, whereas the visible portion of the nail that we generally see is known as the nail plate. The tissue near the base of the nail plate is called the nail matrix, it is in charge of generating new nail cells. Finally, the cuticle, a thin layer of skin, protects the nail plates base from infection.

The Mechanism of Nail Growth

Nail growth is a continuous process that occurs as a result of the formation of new nail cells in the nail matrix. The nail matrix is a small, well-defended structure located at the base of the nail. The matrix generates the cells that make up the nail plate, the tough, visible portion of the nail.

The older cells are pushed forward when new nail cells are created in the matrix, which causes the nail to expand. The development of keratin fibers causes the nail plate to harden and become more rigid as it grows. The nails strength and longevity come from the closely packed fibers that make up it.

What Affects the Development of Nails?

In January, Seattle Public Schools sued social media companies, including TikTok and Meta, alleging that theyd helped cause the youth mental health crisis. Florida and New Jersey followed suit in February. In March, Californias San Mateo County Board of Education and Pennsylvanias Bucks County also hopped on the Big Tech lawsuit bandwagon.

Twitter shows up fact-checker on Soros defense Signs of the Times

The Washington Post has attempted to dismiss claims the liberal financier had funded the district attorney prosecuting Trump. Twitter users corrected the Washington Post's star fact-checker, Glenn Kessler, when he attempted to write off the claim that liberal financier George Soros had funded the Manhattan district attorney who indicted former US President Donald Trump as 'misleading'. Kessler, who rated the 'incendiary claim' that Soros funded Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg 'three Pinocchios' in a Saturday fact-check, accused the Trump campaign and other Republicans who echoed the factoid of "being slippery" and conjuring "stereotypes of rich Jewish financiers secretly controlling events."

Manhattan garage worker charged with attempted murder after shooting thief. Update: charges dropped Signs of the Times

A Manhattan parking garage attendant who was shot twice while confronting an alleged thief then wrestled the gun away and opened fire on the suspect has been charged with attempted murder, police said. The overnight worker, identified by cops as Moussa Diarra, 57, was also hit with assault and criminal possession of a weapon charge in the Saturday incident, which unfolded around 5:30 a.m. as the attendant saw a man peering into cars on the second floor of the West 31st Street garage, the sources said. Believing the man was stealing, the attendant brought him outside and asked what was inside his bag.

DISCOVERY Paleontologists Discover Fossil of Giant Extinct Eagle Terra Forming Terra

What this does do is eliminate the idea that a giant thunder bird is simply too large to have existed.  They are certainly possible because these also existed.

Then we have the claim that they are extinct.  I am not so sure, not least because we do have recent thunder bird sightings.  Better yet it is plausible to suggest a global distribution of such birds anyway.

Oiur knowledge of eagles comes largely from bald headed eagles which rely on fishing.  This makes them daytime hunters.

Anything like these giants will hunt at night and go to ground during the day.  That means sitting inside the skirt of a large conifer giving 360 degree observation.

What is important is that we have fossil .confirmation.  Actual specimans will be far harder.

War of the drones Terra Forming Terra

We have always understood that drones were a battlefield game changer.

1     It  allows direct deep surveilance of the entire battlefield.  This can be done by both sides.  I

t also allows individual attacks against individual soldiers.  All this is enough to force the whole line to essentially button up.  That means timber bunkers with cover like in Korea.  Any concentration inside artillary range becomes impossible.

2      The technology also allows drones able to take out jet fighters.  Yet even now, we see javelins particularly doing just that.  Low flying fighters just became way to expensive.  I do expect drones to soon drive manned jet fighters from the sky.  It is just too easy.

Artillary now becomes eyeball to eyeball duels along the whole front line.  We are back to WWI battle environment.  This means no progress until you have highly trained infantry and no one has that type of leadership discipline.  There will be few safe areas.

Russian official wants Wikipedia blocked Signs of the Times

Wikipedia is a "politically biased" platform and should eventually be banned in Russia, Valery Fadeev, the head of the Presidential Human Rights Council (HRC), has said. The Kremlin, however, cautioned that any talk about blocking the website is premature, as there is currently no adequate alternative. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Fadeev said Wikipedia "should be closed." While the website is a convenient platform for receiving all sorts of information, he said, there are also "a lot of distortions when it comes to politics, history." Fadeev stressed that he is not insisting that the Russian authorities ban the portal right away, but rather only after a viable alternative is launched. Igor Ashmanov, an HRC member, supported this idea, saying that Moscow has no tools to influence Wikipedia. "This is a strategic weapon. We should create equivalents and block it."

How many deaths were caused by the covid vaccines? Signs of the Times

Summary Contrary to the claims made by covid vaccine proponents there is hard evidence that most reports of vaccine deaths to the USA VAERS and UK Yellow Card systems are genuine. At most 30% of these reports can be ruled as likely not to have been caused by the vaccine. There is also evidence that the reporting rates for deaths and adverse events to these systems is very low. It is likely that fewer than 10% of deaths and other adverse events ever get reported. With these minimal assumptions we estimate there have been: approximately 120,000 deaths in the USA directly caused by the covid vaccines (between Dec 2020 until 23 March 2023) and 16,000 in the UK (between Dec 2020 until 29 Sept 2022). over 103 deaths per million doses of the covid vaccines in the UK with big differences between the three main vaccines (187 for Astra Zeneca, 68 for Pfizer and 35 for Moderna). For Astra Zeneca that amounts to 1 death in every 5348 doses. Taking account of the small proportion of people...

The Trump Indictment is So Bad it Shows The Lack of any Dignity Left in NY Courts Armstrong Economics

This Indictment is an ABUSE OF POWER and it is totally in violation of the DUE PROCESS OF LAW where a citizen MUST be provided clear evidence of such a charge fair notice. New Yorks legal system VIOLATES the Constitution and is about time that the State of New York be brought to its knees for all the abuse they have inflicted upon the people with this half-ass criminal system. As a former NY Judge himself admitted that the system was corrupt and rotten to the core.

Lawyers for decades have said a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich because the system is outright corrupt beyond compare. That phrase was first coined by a New York State Judge named Sol Wachtler (born 1930). Wachtler was the former chief judge of New York State who coined that term in a January 1985 interview with the New York Daily News Marcia Kramer and Frank Lombardi. The relevant portion:

In a bid to make prosecutors more accountable for their actions, Chief Judge Sol Wachtler has proposed that the state scrap the grand jury system of bringing criminal indictme...

Lament for the End is Growing Closer Armstrong Economics

QUESTION: How can one, specifically Trump be charged with covering up an unproven mystery crime that by definition he is innocent of (innocent until proven guilty)? And why does no one mention this.

MC

ANSWER: This entire thing is doing nothing but bringing down the respect of the entire legal system. I knew the New York legal system was a cesspool. But now you are exposing it to the whole world. The judge should be removed. He has sat on Trump cases before. If I file anything in the Supreme Court, Justice Sotomayor immediately recuses herself because she sat on my case in the Second Circuit and even disagreed with the majority which got me into the Supreme Court before she moved there. To pretend he can still preside is a slap in the face and only shows the case is rigged.

Then this Alvan Bragg is out of control. He threatened Congressman Jordan, warning him not to protect Trump implying that would be a conspiracy. What will this rouge prosecutor do now? Charge all the Republicans in Congress with conspiracy?

Pelosi is a total disgrace. How can someone presiding as the Speaker of the House declare Trump is GUILTY and he MUST prove his innocence? She has no understanding of the Constitution. In all honesty, she has rejected the very foundation of a free society. She should then go surrender NOW for all the inside trading she has done and the burden should be hers to PROVE she is innocent.

Then we should apply her standard to Biden and his son Hunter. They are guilty and are therefore unfit to preside as President until he PROVES their innocence. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect the indictment of a former head of state for anything should of treason like Nixon and Bill Clinton who everyone knew committed perjury? The US never use the law to go af...

Japan Secures Oil Deal with Russia Armstrong Economics

Japan is an energy-dependent nation that relies on imports to function. Despite being a G7 member, Japan has remained largely silent on the Russia-Ukraine war and is the only member to deny Zelenskys pleas for weapons. The prime minister was the last in the alliance to visit Ukraine amid the war. The G7 nations set a $60 per barrel price cap on Russian crude but granted Japan a pass.

Japan has purchased nearly 748,000 barrels of Russian oil for $70 a piece in the first two months of the year alone. All of the MSM headlines read: JAPAN BREAKS ALLIANCE WITH WESTERN ALLIES, as if there were an alternative. Even conservative outlets are saying that Japan has broken ties with the West. Japan is unwilling to deliberately allow its nation to crumble from an energy shortage, unlike the Build Back Better nations.

Oil prices surged on Monday after OPEC+ announced plans to limit production, which will lead to a rise in global prices. Energy costs affect the cost of everything from the supply chain to food. Yet, the countries that have the ability to drill, such as the US and Canada, are refusing to do so despite energy prices significantly contributing to overall inflation and economic instability.

The West chastised India and China for purchasing Russian oil. They dont want to lose their Japanese ally and are attempting to give them a free pass, but only until September. What happens then? Will Japan be forced to break its alliance with the G7? The West was hoping that longstanding tensions between China and Japan would push them into this proxy war, but the Japanese government is not willing to implode its economy. Let us also remember that Japan was forced to close numerous nuclear power plants after the earthquake hit in 2011. They are completely reliant on imports. It seems that only nations willing to surrender their economies in the name of abandoning fossil fuels, with no alternative, are ousted from the Wests good graces.

NATO Promotes WW3 with Finlands Membership Armstrong Economics

Finland has officially become the 31st member of NATO. Finland has today become a member of the defense alliance NATO. The era of military non-alignment in our history has come to an end. A new era begins, Finlands President Sauli Niinist mistakenly celebrated. It is clear that Finland does not understand Russias motives for the war in Ukraine.

Finland shares an 832-mile border with Russia, doubling the size of NATOs borders with Russia. Russia is now surrounded, backed into a corner. Russias national security is in jeopardy, and will not choose flight over fight. This is precisely what Russia had been arguing against for years. Finland was not under threat of attack from Russia and did not need global military protection, nor did it need to spend a portion of its GDP to push forward the war effort.

Finlands membership is not targeted against anyone. Nor does it change the foundations or objectives of Finlands foreign and security policy. Finland is a stable and predictable Nordic country that seeks peaceful resolution of disputes, the new president also stated. Russia certainly did not see this as a neutral act. We will strengthen our military capabilities in the west and northwest if NATO members deploy forces and equipment on Finnish territory, Russias Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko warned. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow will prepare counter-measures to ensure our own security, both tactically and strategically.

Finland has not aligned with other military powers in nearly 80 years. US Neocon Anthony Blinken was foaming at the mouth for this partnership to take place. Finlands people were safe and uninvolved in this proxy war before Tuesday. Everyone cheering that Finland has joined the good guys fails to realize this directly escalates the conflict to new proportions. What started as a land dispute between two neighboring countries has overtaken the world, and all leaders are willing to risk the lives of their people to win this war. Ukraine is now loudly voicing its desire to join NATO, which would guarantee a full-scale world war. The chess players are aligning their players, and it is only a matter of time before mass destruction takes place that changes the world as we know it.

Obviously, we have caused a hole in the magnetic field that will devastate South America and it must be all our fault for driving cars, heating our homes, eating hamburgers and Nathans beef hot dogs, smoking, and going to working even virtually since that requires electricity.

The image above (created by scientists Christopher Finlay, Clemens Kloss, Nils Olsen et al) shows a growing weak patch in the Earths magnetic field that is exposing satellites and the International Space Station to greater radiation risks. It appears to have been growing since 1958 and will possibly split into two like an Ameba is a unicellular organism giving birth to a clone. Unlike higher forms of life, amoebas do not need another individuals genetic material to reproduce. The nucleus of each cell contains the amoebas genetic material. First, the genetic material replicates. Then the nucleus divides.

In my studies of cycles and the universe, there is never something new. It appears to be the same process over and over again. The universe is fractal. This to me appears to be preparing to split precisely as an amoeba which is a single-cell lifeform.

A Single Crack on a Teflon Pan Can Cause Thousands of Plastic Partlces to Release Awareness Act

I love my Teflon, non-stick pans, and the convenience they provide in the kitchen. Unfortunately, a recent study discovered that Americas favorite pan could come with some pretty hefty consequences.

In the new study, Australian researchers discovered that even the slightest crack on a Teflon-coated pan could release 9,1000 plastic particles.

We all know that over time, Teflon pans can wear down. Most of us have had at least one moment, where we began stirring around a bit too hard, only to find a slight scratch on our non-stick pan.

The study took a look at microplastics and nanoplastics, and based on their research, human beings are exposed to quite a lot of plastic particles over time. It gives us a strong warning that we must be careful about selecting and using cooking utensils to avoid food contamination, explains Youhong Tang, a mechanical and material engineer from Finders University in Australia.

To reach their conclusions, they used Raman imaging and algorithmic modeling to identify the release of over 2.3 million microplastics and nanoplastics. The non-stick coating material Teflon is generally a family member of PFAS, says Dr. Cheng Fang, one of the study authors. Given the fact PFAS is a big concern, these Teflon microparticles in our food might be a health concern, [which] needs investigating because we dont know much about these emerging contaminants, he warned.

In their study, they observed and tested six different types of non-stick pots and pans, that were both new and used. To be fair, they mimicked cooking and cleaning processes, however, they didnt use oil.

While the researchers understand how dangerous PFAS can be, they did assert that more research should be done to look into other routes of contamination and their effects. More research is recommended to address the risk assessment of the Teflon microplastics and nanoplastics, given that Teflon is a family member of PFAS, says Tang.

Military Begins Testing Weapon That Destroys Electronics, Instead of Buildings Awareness Act

We live in a technological world, so much so, that if our electronics all stopped working, the world would shut down. With that in mind, the Air Force has begun testing its newest weapon, and its not designed to kill humans.

Instead, its focus is on electronics. The Air Force Research Laboratory is conducting two months of testing, along with the Office of Navel research on High-Powered Joint Electromagnetic Non-Kinetic Strik Weapons or HiJENKS. HiJENKS is a five-year project that can be used to destroy electronics in a very targeted fashion.

Before HiJENKS, there was another High-Powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project known as Champ. What these two share in common is that they are designed to disable electronics without using any physical force. Its not an easy task to create a weapon that can disable electronics without the use of any physical force.

However, HiJENKS can fry electronics by using bursts of microwave energy. HiJENKS was created as an improvement to CHAMP, which was built to fit in the case of a bomber-launched cruise missile. Currently, there isnt much that has been released to the public regarding HiJENKS form. Well start looking at more service-specific applications once weve done this test that demonstrates the technology, says Jeffrey Heggemeirer, the chief of AFRLs high-power electromagnetics division.

Heggemeier said the program hasnt yet designated a platform for the weapon, but noted HiJENKS smaller footprint means it could be integrated on a wider range of carrier systems, reported C4ISRNET.

No matter how this weapon develops, it could be a very powerful and dangerous weapon. However, amid battle, it could prove beneficial, at least in some capacity. For now, we can only speculate as to how it would work in battle because as it stands, it is still in the developmental and testing stages.

10 Simple Ways to Give Your Child Positive Attention Awareness Act

As parents, we often worry about making sure that we do all of the things: we enlist them in extracurriculars, we make sure they eat the best food, and we try to ensure they get the best education possible. However, the most important thing we should be doing, the one thing that stands above the rest is giving our kids positive attention.

Your children crave your presence, even if they fight you at times. Remember, kids are still developing, so their emotions can be a little bit chaotic. That is why it is so important to give them the right attention, so they can grow and develop into healthy and happy little humans. Here are 10 simple ways to give your child positive attention.

1. Smile at them.

From the time a child is born, they begin to study their caregivers face. They do this, to understand how you feel about them. When you smile or coo or give them kind remarks, they know they can be at peace and feel secure. Just because they grow into toddlers or even teenagers does not mean that their smile loses impact. So, strive to smile at them often.

2. Let them lead for the day.

As parents, we take the reigns 100% of the time. So, every once in a while, let them be the leader and let them direct your day.

3. Always recognize the right behavior.

When you notice your child behaving in the right way, recognize it and praise them. Praise them when they are being kind or empathetic. Praise them when they do something for someone else. Praise them when they ace their math test. Praise is what shows them that they are on the right path.

4. Invite them to do something that you normally do by yourself.

Do you normally run certain errands by yourself? Next time, bring your child alone. For example, if you tend to go get a pedicure once a month, the next time you go, bring your little one and let them get one too!

5. Always listen when they are talking to you.

When your child is trying to get your attention through talking, stop what you are doing and listen. I dont mean listen halfway while you scroll through social media. I mean, give them your undivided attention.

6. Ask them about their interests.

Your children will begin to develop interests of their own from an early age. Show an interest in their interests by asking them about them.

7. Leave them notes.

One simple way to show your child they are loved is by leaving notes for them. When I was little my mom used to write things like I love you on the mirror in lipstick and it always made me feel so loved. Its the simple things, you know?

8. Make eye contact as often as possible.

When you make eye contact with your child, you are showing them they have your undivided attention. Regardless of whether its during the conversation or just a quick glance, this is important because you are showing them that you notice them.

4 Phrases That Will Help You Become A Better Mother Awareness Act

As mothers, we all want to be the best. We want to raise our kids to be happy, to be healthy, feel loved, and get what they want and need from life.

While this can feel like a tough job at times, in the grand scheme of things, being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world. However, in the heat of everything, when the chaos of it all is weighing on our shoulders, it can be hard to see it that way. Below, I would like to cover some phrases that will help you to up your moms game 100%.

1. I am still learning.

There are times I think I know my child like the back of my hand. Then, I am forced to remember that because he is still growing, still developing, and not yet done becoming who he is, I have a lot to learn. So, in the moments in which your child surprises you, remember, this is a learning curve and one that never ends.

2. I get to.

Instead of thinking, I have to get up early to get the kids ready for school, or I have to do all of this work to be a mom, etc, change your mindset. Say I get to get up early and take the kids to school. Or, I get to make a lovely meal for my babies. It really is a game-changer.

3. Is this about them or me?

The other day in the grocery store, my little one started screaming. I immediately started trying to get him to calm down. And then it occurred to me: am I trying to make him be quiet because I am embarrassed other moms will hear my child screaming and think badly of me, or because I am truly concerned with how he feels?

4. This too, shall pass.

Sometimes, motherhood can be hard. However, the tough parts never last. The more that you try to focus on all the bad, hoping that it hurries up and stops, its important to remember that the good things will pass too. So, take the good with the bad.

Anatomy of a Biden Family business deal: Get son Hunter or sister Valerie to sign 'on behalf of the VP' Signs of the Times

Email exchanges between Joe Biden's family and business associates show the Bidens planning to cash in on the family name in an academic venture with the University of Delaware while discussing ways to carefully distance Joe himself from financial documents outlining the deal. Team Biden was to receive $12.5 million for the establishment of the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware (UD), which launched shortly after Joe Biden left the vice presidency in 2017. The arrangement meant a nice payday for the Bidens and their associates. And, as it turned out, the launch of the Biden Institute coincided with a bonanza in foreign money donations for the university. Correspondences show that UD wanted Joe Biden to raise funds for the university after his institute opened. In the weeks and months following the opening of the Institute, UD received foreign cash donations totaling more than $33 million, including $6.7 million from China. Of that sum, three gifts came directly from the...

Trump under arrest in New York - Justice Dept. reportedly pursuing separate obstruction case against him Signs of the Times

Former US President Donald Trump arrived at the Manhattan District Attorney's office on Tuesday afternoon, to be placed under arrest and face a series of charges his attorneys have denounced as a politically motivated "witch hunt" by the New York Democrat Alvin Bragg. The existence of the charges was leaked to the press last Friday, and more details were leaked on Monday, indicating that Bragg is going after the 45th president for the "crime" of allegedly falsifying business records in regard to "hush money" reportedly paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Federal prosecutors declined to pursue the case, and multiple legal scholars have argued that the charges amount to a misdemeanor campaign violation at best. Hillary Clinton paid a fine for the same exact transgression in the matter of funding the notorious "Steele dossier," a series of fabrications accusing Trump of having ties to Russia. Trump himself has denounced the indictment as purely...

US argues for immunity from MK-ULTRA mind control experiments case before Quebec Court of Appeal Signs of the Times

A proposed class-action lawsuit over infamous brainwashing experiments at a Montreal psychiatric hospital was before Quebec's highest court Thursday, as victims attempted to remove immunity granted to the United States government. The U.S. government successfully argued in Quebec Superior Court last August that the country couldn't be sued for the project known as MK-ULTRA, allegedly funded by the Canadian government and the CIA. U.S. lawyers argued that foreign states had absolute immunity from lawsuits in Canada between the 1940s and 1960s, when the program took place.

Europe can't afford to 'decouple' from China - former Italian official Signs of the Times

Leaders from European countries have recently announced trips to China. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez attended the Boao Forum for Asia in South China's Hainan Province which lasted from March 28 to 31. French President Emmanuel Macron and some EU leaders, including EU Commission President Urusla Von der Leyen, will also pay visits to China. What does this wave of visits signal about China-Europe relations? How should Europe balance its ties with China and the US? Global Times (GT) reporter Wang Wenwen talked to Michele Geraci (Geraci), former undersecretary of state at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, over these issues on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia.

A New Pandemic Treaty: The most dangerous International treaty ever proposed Signs of the Times

Human history is a story of forgotten lessons. Despite the catastrophic collapse of European democracy in the 1930s, it appears that the tale of the twentieth century - in which citizens, cowed by existential threats, acquiesced in the rejection of liberty and truth in favour of obedience and propaganda, whilst allowing despotic leaders to seize ever more absolutist powers - is perilously close to being forgotten. Nowhere is this more evident than in relation to the apparent nonchalance which has greeted two international legal agreements currently working their way through the World Health Organisation: a new pandemic treaty, and amendments to the 2005 International Health Regulations, both due to be put before the governing body of the WHO, the World Health Assembly, in May next year. As concerned scholars and jurists have detailed, these agreements threaten to fundamentally reshape the relationship between the WHO, national governments, and individuals.

Finland joins NATO, Russia warns of counter-measures Signs of the Times

Finland formally joined NATO on Tuesday, its flag unfurling outside the military bloc's Brussels headquarters, in a historic policy shift brought on by Russia's invasion of Ukraine that drew a threat from Moscow of "counter-measures." Finland's accession, ending seven decades of military non-alignment, roughly doubles the length of the border the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shares with Russia and bolsters its eastern flank as the war in Ukraine grinds on with no resolution in sight. Finland's flag - a blue cross on a white background - was hoisted alongside those of the alliance's 30 other members as a military band played in bright spring sunshine.

New Zealand's newly elected Prime Minister Chris Hipkins struggled to define the term 'woman' when a reporter's question about gender caught him off guard. During his regular afternoon press conference on Monday, Mr Hipkins was asked by Sean Plunket, a broadcast reporter from The Platform, to 'define a woman' on behalf of himself and his government. Mr Hipkins took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding. 'Um,' Hipkins began, before pausing. 'To be honest Sean, that question has come out of left field for me.'

Trumps campaign raised more money around federal indictment than presidential announcement Original Journalism from OpenSecrets News

Former U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during an event at Mar-a-Lago April 4, 2023 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan courtroom today to 34 counts related to money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, the first criminal charges for any former U.S. president. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

They say crime doesnt pay, but a criminal indictment against former President Donald Trump is proving pretty lucrative.

Trumps 2024 presidential campaign raised $7 million in the three days since a Manhattan grand jury indicted Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records on March 30, senior Trump advisor Jason Miller tweeted Tuesday. The Trump campaign is not required to file quarterly federal campaign finance disclosures detailing fundraising for the first three months of 2023 until April 15.

The indictment-fueled fundraising haul dwarfs the $3.8 million his campaign raised from Nov. 15, the day Trump announced his presidential campaign, and the end of 2022. Trumps campaign raised about $2 million a day since he became the first former or current president to be criminally indicted.

The Manhattan grand jury indicted Trump on charges related to his alleged role in paying hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who tried to sell her story of an affair with Trump in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential election.

Facing new attempts to regulate toxic substances, the chemical industrys lobbying expenses skyrocketed in 2022 Original Journalism from OpenSecrets News

The chemical and related manufacturing industry spent $65.9 million on lobbying Congress and federal agencies in 2022, fighting in part against stronger chemical restrictions. Thats a nominal record for the industry, an OpenSecrets analysis of recent federal disclosure filings found.

In the past, the industry has successfully lobbied to water down federal regulations on chemicals that pose serious health risks. This success was partly due to chronic funding challenges and staffing shortages at the Environmental Protection Agency, which is tasked with regulating toxic chemicals under the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act. Roadblocks under former President Donald Trumps administration, both cash-driven and due to his EPA appointees with roots in the chemical industry, also curbed the agencys regulatory capabilities in recent years.

President Joe Bidens administration, however, is preparing to set stronger standards on a range of toxic chemicals after legislation to expand regulations stalled under the Trump administration. New measures to restrict certain toxic compounds like asbestos and a group of chemicals known as PFAS, often referred to as forever chemicals, were proposed in March.

The American Chemistry Council, an industry trade association representing over 190 American chemical companie...

Trump campaign raises 8 million since indictment CLG News

Trump campaign raises 8 million since indictment | 4 April 2023 | Donald Trump and his 2024 White House campaign are cashing in on the former president's indictment and Tuesday's arraignment in New York City. Adviser Jason Miller announced on Monday night that the campaign had hauled in over $8 million in fundraising since last Thursday, when Trump became the first former president in U.S. history to be charged with a crime... The former president, who announced his third White House bid in November, has seen his polling lead over the rest of the actual and potential field in the GOP nomination race increase the past couple of weeks, as the indictment loomed. Technocracy, Social Engineering & Toxic Culture Creation

For most, popular culture is an organic phenomenon that follows the creative genius of the artists that ebbs and flows with trends and fads. In reality, many these forces are ideologically driven by the powers that be, transcending the dialectic of left and right.  Beyond the controlled narrative of the masses the depths of our cultural zeitgeist are often steered by scientific helmsmen and military psychological warfare strategists.  The corporate structure that owns our government also owns and creates culture for specific ends.  Thus, Hollywood becomes a chief culture driver much like the controlled music industry.  Entertainment plays a crucial role in this control grid, and Jay Dyer lectures through the writings of the global elite to decode this system like no one else: From CIA operatives to famous ad men, the mad men that run our world have a specific scientific endgame.

'We have to take a stand against the injustice' - Rep. Greene Decries Trump Indictment in Rally Outside NY Courthouse | 4 April 2023 | Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) joined supporters of former President Donald Trump in New York on April 4 to protest his indictment. "I came to your state to peacefully protest against the persecution of an innocent man," Greene told a crowd of protesters at Collect Pond Park just hours before Trump was scheduled to be arraigned across the street. "Not just any man--this is the former president of the United States of America, and the government has been weaponized against him." "Every American should take a stand," she added. "This is what happens in communist countries, not the United States of America. We have to take a stand against the injustice, the corruption, and the communist Democrats who are taking our legal code and twisting it, manipulating it, and converting it into something it was never meant to be."

News of the historic indictment on March 30 set off several days of media mania which culminated on Tuesday in coverage of Trump's motorcade ride through his beloved hometown en route to voluntarily surrender himself at the offices of New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg and hear his charges at the New York Supreme Court. In a return to the saga which began shortly after he won the 2016 election, the district attorney charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection to a payment for a non-disclosure agreement signed by adult entertainment actress Stormy Daniels and Trump's then-attorney, Michael Cohen.

West 'not so eager to find out' who bombed Nord Stream - report --NATO leaders would rather not know if their allies were involved, the newspaper's sources said | 3 April 2023 | Western officials would rather not know who bombed the Nord Stream pipelines, lest they discover that their allies were responsible, the Washington Post reported on Monday. The report listed Polish and Ukrainian operatives as likely perpetrators, but left out one key suspect. "Don't talk about Nord Stream" is now an unwritten rule at gatherings of European and NATO policymakers, an unnamed European diplomat told the newspaper. "Leaders see little benefit from digging too deeply and finding an uncomfortable answer," the Post added, stating that officials "would rather not have to deal with the possibility that Ukraine or its allies were involved." "It's like a corpse at a family gathering," the diplomat continued, explaining that while everyone can see the metaphorical body, they pretend it's not there. "It's better not to know," the source said.
