Executives at the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) decided to replace hotline workers with a chatbot named Tessa four days after the workers unionized.

Professors: The Entire Fossil Fuel Industry Must Be Euthanized To Save Humanity From Warmth "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Kenneth Richard | No Tricks Zone | May 25, 2023

Two University of Michigan professors insist we must reduce the emission of greenhouse gases to zero to stabilize the planets temperature. But because 80% of our energy use still comes from carbon-based sources today, ending it will not be easy. The death of all fossil fuel industry must be imposed, euthanasia-style.

It has now reached the point that academic elites are no longer concealing their real inclinations and intentions in massaged semantics or subtleties.

Two US business professors argue that the looming climate catastrophe (which they believe has been caused solely by human greenhouse gas emissions) necessitates that the shape and structure of modern capitalism will have to be changed.

No more roads. No more plastic or steel  or electronic products. No more air travel. All the industries that use petroleum products of any kind, no matter how essential, must end this practice, effective immediately. Fossil fuel use must be 100% eliminated.

The cost to get to zero greenhouse gas emissions? Estimates range from $100 to $150 trillion over the next 30 years.

And putting a price on carbon use doesnt nearly go far enough. Its not possible to get to zero emissions just by making fossil fuel use more expensive. The entire fossil fuel industry the producers as well as the recipients must undergo, as the authors put it, compassionate destruction.

If there is any resistance to the total destruction of fossil fuel use, then euthanasia  the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals, must be put into practice. Imposed. Forced.

A future in which we address climate change may require that the entire sector be euthanized, imposing death ahead of its imminent arrival.

It is not our job to question. The situation is so real, so dire, that our only job now is to come to terms with the extreme decision that has to be made for the patient.

The USAF Chief Said That F-16s Wont Be A Game-Changer For Kiev So Whys The Kremlin So Upset? "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

BY ANDREW KORYBKO | MAY 28, 2023

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko recently warned that the Wests possible shipment of F-16s to Kiev is fraught with colossal risks for that de facto New Cold War bloc, shortly after which his boss Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described this scenario as an unacceptable escalation. The Kremlins assessment clashes with the Pentagons, whose Air Force chief Frank Kendall claimed last week that its not going to be a dramatic game-changerfor their total military capabilities.

Bidens support at the G7 Summit for training Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16s and some countries like the UKs plans to assemble a so-called jet coalition for their Eastern European proxy suggest that these opposite predictions will be put to the test after some time unless a ceasefire is reached first. Considering this possibility, its timely to weigh the merits of each sides assessment in order to get a better idea of whether the Kremlins or the Pentagons will more closely reflect reality in that scenario.

Sky News explainer that was published on Sunday provides a good starting point for answering this question. According to military analyst Sean Bell, Kiev will likely receive old F-16s that are heavily dependent on spares and urgently in need of being updated with modern equipment. Anything less than Modern air-to-air missiles married to a modern F-16 radar, which he said would pose a credible threat, risks emboldening the Russian Air Force.

Before reaching his conclusion, Bell also informed readers that In addition to radar, modern fighters also need state-of-the-art electronic warfare, defensive aids, infrared sensors, link-16 datalinks, and a computer system to programme and deliver the latest generation of high-tech air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, not to menti...

I guess these are the kinds of people who run the country now "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

American Idiot

You may have heard that the state of Florida banned a poem by Amanda Gorman from grade school libraries. Whats chilling is that this was triggered by one person complaining, a woman named Daily Salinas. She is a real piece of work.

In a series of screenshots tweeted by the group Miami Against Fascism, Salinas appears to be photographed in several Proud Boys events. In one photo, Salinas appears to be standing next to Enrique Tarrio, the far-right groups neo-fascist leader who was found guilty of seditious conspiracy last month. Freedom to choose, said Salinass T-shirt.

In another post that featured a picture of Tarrio, Salinas appeared to hail the Proud Boys, writing, Los mejores, or The best in Spanish, adding, My Proud boys, alongside emojis of the American flag, a heart, a flexed arm and prayer hands.

Miami Against Fascism also posted pictures of Salinass apparent involvement with CCDF, also known as County Citizens Defending Freedom USA, a controversial Christian nationalist organization.

The outlet Jewish Telegraphic Agency also reviewed a Facebook account that appeared to be Salinass. The account featured a series of rightwing and antisemitic posts, including one about the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a fabricated Russian antisemitic text originally published in 1903 about a purported Jewish plan to dominate the world.

According to JTA, the post about the Protocols showed a list of steps on how Jewish Zionists would dominate the world.

Not only is she a bigot, she is a nearly illiterate dumbass.

I see the word communism, and I think its something about communism, she told JTA, adding, I didnt read the words.

Salinas added that she is Christian, has Jewish friends and enjoys watching the Israeli Netflix series Fauda.

She also revealed that she only read snippets of the books that she sought to ban at the education center. The books include The ABCs of Black History, poetry by Langston Hughes and books on Cuba, all of which she has criticized for indirect hate messages, references to critical race theory and gender indoctrination.

They have to read for me because Im not an expert, Salinas told JTA. Im not a reader. Im not a book person. Im a mom involved in my childrens education.

Pastors Elder Son Leads Kidnapping Squad Terrorising Warri-Sapele Road "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

PASTPR SON AND GANG

LAGOS MAY 28TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A gang of suspected armed robbers and kidnappers terrorising motorists and passengers along Warri-Sapele road in Delta State has been smashed by operatives of the state police command.

The gang which is led by one Sunday Nyero, a 25-year-old resident of Sapele, is believed to be responsible for series of armed robbery and kidnap cases on the busy highway.

The gang leader while being paraded alongside his members at the police command headquarters in Asaba, told our reporter that he is the first son of his father, a polygamous pastor, in one of the old generation churches.

His words: I am a rubber tapper, but I got involved in crime because of frustration and home problems. My father is a pastor. I am the eldest son of my father. So, this whole thing is a home problem. Im even confused.

My father will be so ashamed now if he finds out that I was arrested for kidnapping. I am only begging for forgiveness from God, my pregnant wife and two children.

I dropped out of primary school even though he tried to educate us, but because he married two wives, we were living far apart from each other, so it was difficult to monitor us.

The suspected gang leader confessed that his squad had been operating on the Warri-Sapele road, but quickly added that they had only succeeded once due to constant police harassment.

We kidnap people on the Warri-Sapele road, but it is not every time. We have attempted five times, but succeeded only once because the police are always after us.

The only occasion we succeeded, the woman was coming from the market and she had no money. She was pleading with us that she had no money. We searched her phone and discovered that she had no money.

The cash that was with her was about N100,000, which we collected and gave her transport fare. So my boys and I shared the balance and allowed her to go. Since then, we have not gone to work, he said.

According to him, each time they went for an operation, they usually rented arms from one Kelvin (now at large) who also participated in the operation and took part in sharing the proceeds.

Parading the suspects, the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, said that the Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, detailed operatives of the Decoy Squad...

Iraq unveils $17bn infrastructure project linking West Asia to Europe "IndyWatch Feed Africa"

The Cradle | May 27, 2023

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani on 27 May unveiled a $17 billion infrastructure project to link West Asia and Europe and make Iraq a regional transportation hub.

Once finished, the Route of Development project would run the length of the nation, reaching 1,200 kilometers from Turkiyes northern border to the Persian Gulf in the south.

The project was announced by Sudani during a meeting with transport ministry representatives from Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkiye, and the UAE.

We see this project as a pillar of a sustainable non-oil economy, a link that serves Iraqs neighbors and the region, and a contribution to economic integration efforts, he said.

While more negotiations are needed, the Iraqi parliaments transport committee stated that any country that desires will be able to carry out part of the project, adding that the project may be finished in three to five years.

The Route of Development will boost interdependence between the countries of the region, Turkiyes ambassador to Baghdad, Ali Riza Guney, said, without specifying what role his country will play in the initiative.

Sudani has prioritized the repair of the countrys road network as well as the upgrade of its aging energy infrastructure.

On 25 May, Iraqs Oil Minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani announced that Saudi Aramco is seeking to invest in Iraqs Crutch gas field and expand its capacity to 400 million cubic feet.

Additionally, in February, the Iraqi government signed an agreement with the UAE firm Crescent Petroleum to develop two gas fields in northeastern Diyala governorate to supply local power plants.

The UAEs private upstream oil and gas company disclosed that the Gilabat-Qumar and Khashim gas fields are expected to produce seven million cubic meters within an 18-month span.

In recent months, Baghdad has bolstered its efforts to increase its relations with Gulf states. On 19 February, Iraq and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share sensitive intelligence and deepen security cooperation, marking the first time the two nations have signed a security pact since 1983.

Chisels 4 "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

I decided to reinforce the throat of the handle with epoxy and carbon fiber tape. Instead of doing like before, and embedding the tang in carbon fiber and epoxy, I just used epoxy.

That was all good luck; I had not yet had the benefit of the commentariats advice regarding carbon fibers electrochemical properties with steel.

The decision to wrap the throat had more to do with my having turned them slightly smaller than was ideal for the ferrules. So oops! what do I do now? came into play. The other alternative would have been a less mobile epoxy paste like PC-7, which would have also worked just fine.

I twisted the ferrules down onto that gooey mess, cleaned them up, and then made another gooey mess the next day, seating the tangs down into the drilled holes in the handles. It was a good fit, lubricated with G-Flex and Im pretty sure that those are in there for good this time.

Before I permanently attached the blades, I gave them a bath in some ferric chloride to bring out the pattern in the metal. Its a whole lot easier putting just the blade in the ferric tank, than having to figure out how to somehow suspend the whole kaboodle.

Well, I said I wanted dramatic, right? I did a bit of polish on the cutting edge to make it more visually distinct, and did some highlight polish on the chamfers on the shoulders stuff like that. One problem with great big masses of steel is that they tend to look slabby and flat unless you put some thought into how the viewers eye is going to move on the piece.

There is still a little cleanup to do, so I left the wrapping on the handles. Theres vaseline on the tangs, so in principle that stuff should lift right off with a touch of a knife.

But, then, something occurred to me

DeSantis Must Defy the Odds Before He Can Defeat Trump "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

Every couple of years, scores of small-money donors waste millions of dollars on Democratic candidates with no chance of winning, just because they want to take down a certain Republican and are led to believe that their $20 donation can help make that happen. In 2020, for example, Amy McGrath raised and spent over $90 million in an attempt to defeat Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY). She lost by almost 20 points.

This year, deep-pocketed Republicans appear set to light an even larger pile of money on fire in pursuit of claiming the biggest scalp in all of politics: Donald Trumps.

It is easy to see why they want to get rid of the former president. To them, he is a liability. Trump lost the popular vote twice, and, in the last two elections, he cost the GOP a Senate majority. Plus, with his mounting legal troubles, there is no way of knowing whether he will be in or out of prison by November of next year.

There are just a few minor problems with this anti-Trump stance. The first is that, while many in the old guard of the Republican establishment loathe Trump, GOP voters idolize him. Essentially, the challenge is to replace the leader of the cult with someone who is, well, not the leader of that cult.

The second problem is that, once again, the GOP establishment has chosen a Florida governor with little personality as its champion to vanquish Trump. That didnt work in 2016 when Jeb Bush was the chosen one, and current Gov. Ron DeSantis has given no indication that he is up to the job.

While he likes to portray himself as someone who never shies away from a fight, we have only ever seen him punch down. Obviously, that wont do versus Trump, who is firmly entrenched atop the Republican heap.

In other words, to beat the former president, DeSantis would have to attack him with the same enthusiasm with which he attacks gay high school students.

And, so far, there is no indication that he wants to get down in the gutter with Trump.

Because, make no mistake, thats where this fight would take place.

Following the DeSantis announcement, some of the most decorated reporters of the venerable New York Times...

Bros movie review "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

cn: This review makes no attempt to avoid spoilers

Bros is a 2022 gay romcom described as the first movie of its kind to be made by a major studio. It is most certainly not the first movie of its kind in general. Ive spent quite some time dare I say dumpster diving for gay movies, so I can tell you that the two most common categories are the high school coming out slash romance, and the adult romance. Bros is an example of the latter, and I pleased to say that the mainstreamification did not really compromise the vision of this particular subgenre. It just got a bigger budget, and the acting and writing got a lot more polish. No, the main problems with Bros are problems that are common to its source subgenre, which makes it a great subject for discussion.

The movie is about a romance is between Bobby an out and proud effeminate gay podcaster and LGBTQ museum curator, and Aaron, a ripped jock.  To illustrate the interests and issues with the movie, Ill begin by describing one small arc.  At one point, Bobby runs into Aaron giving himself a testosterone injection, apparently to maintain his muscled physique. Bobby questions him, and Aaron says all his friends do it, and it doesnt seem to bother you when youre obsessing over my body. Bobby says fair enough.

Later, when Bobby is at a low point, convinced that his relationship problems are caused by him not being masc enough to be attractive to Aaron, gets a testosterone injection so he can build his own muscles. In the next scene, hes at the museum exhibit throwing a violent tantrum until the lesbians pin him to the ground. I just took steroids, I have roid rage! he says. Later, all is forgiven, and the testosterone is never mentioned again.

Taking testosterone just to live up to impossible gay body image standards, thats a form of toxic masculinity. I think the movie thinks that merely depicting the practice suffices as criticismbut in the end there are no consequences, and the arc feels woefully uncritical.

Most of the movie centers on Bobby, the perspective character and most frequent source of conflict. Aside from the violent outbursts (yes, plural), he perpetually monologues people, and frequently insulting and demeaning them for trivial things. With Aaron, Bobby is very needy, and multiple times demands Aaron admit that he doesnt find Bobby attractive. But while its clear that Bobby has insecurity issues, the movie rebuffs the idea that he is to blame for anything.

The third act breakup is precipitated by Bobby meeting Aarons parents. Aaron asks Bobby to tone it down a bit, act less like himselfto be clear, this is a major gay faux pas on Aarons part, although viewers who are fed up with Bobby may sympathize. In the next scene, Bobby argues with Aarons mother and tells her that Aaron hates his life. This causes the breakup, which is resolved when Bobby finally finds it......

Fueled by a combination of hydrogen and oxygen, SABRE is capable of powering a plane to Mach 5.4 (4,000 mph) for speedy commercial travelthats around five times the speed of soundor Mach 25 (19,000 mph) when soaring in space. Its supposedly greener and cheaper than current air travel, too.

A potential cure for diabetes found in human stomach cells "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

The ability to acquire gut stem cells via biopsy and have a significant proliferative capacity in culture make them an invaluable resource for autologous cell treatments. In the mouse gut, insulin-producing cells can be produced. Still, human gut tissues have not been able to produce an abundance or durability of insulin-secreting cells to assess their potential as a cell treatment for diabetes.

In a new study, scientists from Weill Cornell Medicine showed that stem cells from human stomach can be converted into insulin-secreting cells. Scientists demonstrated that they could obtain the stem cells from the human stomach and reprogram them directlywith strikingly high efficiencyinto cells that closely resemble pancreatic insulin-secreting cells known as beta cells.

In experiments on a mouse model, this approach reversed disease signs. According to scientists, the study offers a promising approach, based on patients cells, for type 1 diabetes and severe type 2 diabetes.

AI Creates Killer Drug "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Researchers in Canada and the United States have used deep learning to derive an antibiotic that can attack a resistant microbe, acinetobacter baumannii, which can infect wounds and cause pneumonia. According to the BBC, a paper in Nature Chemical Biology describes how the researchers used training data that measured known drugs action on the tough bacteria. The learning algorithm then projected the effect of 6,680 compounds with no data on their effectiveness against the germ.

In an hour and a half, the program reduced the list to 240 promising candidates. Testing in the lab found that nine of these were effective and that one, now called abaucin, was extremely potent. While doing lab tests on 240 compounds sounds like a lot of work, it is better than testing nearly 6,700.

Interestingly, the new antibiotic seems only to be effective against the target microbe, which is a plus. It isnt available for people yet and may not be for some time drug testing being what it is. However, this is still a great example of how machine learning can augment human brainpower, letting scientists and others focus on whats really important.

How the internet went to hell and what to do about it "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

The internet is a mixed bag. While it has been an exceptional vehicle for increased communication and information access, it has also spawned a whole host of problems such as enabling the rapid spreading of misinformation and hate, and as big tech monopolies have used it grow their profits at the expense of the user experience.

Brooke Gladstone, the host of the radio program On The Media had an excellent conversation with Cory Doctorow, special advisor to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, on what happened to the internet and what can be done about it. It took place over three weeks. You can listen to the podcasts and also read transcripts of each episode by clicking on the links but be warned that the transcripts are done by machine and these tend to be fraught with poor punctuation, homophone mistakes, are other errors that require listening to the podcast to correct.

In Part 1 (20 minutes) they discuss why every platform goes bad and why going online feels evermore more repellentor as he calls it, the enshittification of online platforms.

He gives the example of Amazona business model.

So step one, buyers or end users are lured in with a good offer, but theyre also locked in with subtle things that keep them from leaving if the offer gets worse. And then things are made worse for the buyers to make things better for the sellers and bring in lots of sellers. But they too are locked in. And once you have buyers and sellers who are locked in and cant leave, all of the good stuff is taken away from both of them. Life is made worse for them and life s made infinitely better for the shareholders who own the platform, in this case, Jeff Bezos and his pals.

One such offer is the so-called free shipping of Amazon Prime which really means that you have prepaid for shipping. Once you have signed on, you tend to keep buying from that same source even as it gets worse because you do not want to waste that free shipping, which was never free. As long as it does not get too infuriating, you tend to remain.

Big companies have used such tactics for ages but the internet has made this practice much easier to implement, with just a few clicks of a mouse.

Part 2 lasts 25 minutes.

This week, we bring you the second part of that conversation, which is dedicated to understanding the political attitudes and technical mechanism...

photo: Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast

When so much comment has been preoccupied with squeezing out yet another fine point about the council election results, rumbling on in the background has been another squeeze, the Barnett squeeze which has the effect of reducing the funding for Northern Ireland at the worst possible time.  (explanation later). Breaths are being held for a Westminster bailout of up to a 1billion more or less, to fill a budgetary black hole, on condition that the DUP return to the Assembly and regional government resumes. That in itself will prove no miracle solution. But it could be better than a start if they are forced to begin taking long overdue well identified decisions at last.  The state of the budget crisis is hardly news. But when the full picture is revealed in a single session, I suggest the effect is stunning to all but the case hardened or cynical.

Political obsessives privately find this stuff quite boring and head back quickly to their political games.  So why dont you see if you can stick it out with my edited versions of last Thursday in a Westminster committee room on the state of crisis in Northern Irelands funding and governance?  The crisis is not hopeless. Surgical hubs can be introduced quite quickly.  The  Westminster subvention based on entirely measurable  need has been agreed with the Welsh government and as East Belfast  MP Gavin Robinson has argued, should be applied to Northern Ireland.  The words, as it were, speak for themselves.  The local media should be giving  these hearings decent coverage. Shameful that they virtually ignore them. .

Time  to squeeze hard on the politicians.

Peace Dollars: Putting Our Economic House In Order "IndyWatch Feed War"

The total federal deficit at $31+ trillion?

Maybe its time for some creative thinking a totally unique strategy that benefits all Americans, not just capitalist predators.

Special use currency is not unprecedented.

Abraham Lincoln used greenbacks  the paper currency shown above, backed by nothing more than confidence in the government  to finance the Civil War. He printed $449,338,902 of this currency, a lot of money at the time.

A century later, on June 4, 1963, John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 11110 which set in motion the issuance of silver certificate notes, currency backed by silver reserves being held at that time by the U.S. Treasury. Records show that Kennedy issued $4,292,893,825 worth of cash money. This bypassed the established procedure of borrowing money into circulation from the Federal Reserve. $20 billion of such United States Notes were eventually put into circulation before he was assassinated. It has been suggested it was Kennedys and Lincolns introduction of such interest-free, debt-free currency which was the primary reason both of them were murdered.

Understand that their actions were completely within the framework of the Constitution.  Of course, presidents must seek Congressional approval, as the ultimate authority for creating money actually resides with Congress.  This is delineated in Article 1: The Legislative Branch, Section 8: Powers of Congress

Post-Bakhmut scenario in Ukraine war "IndyWatch Feed War"

BY M. K. BHADRAKUMAR | INDIAN PUNCHLINE | MAY 28, 2023

Ukraine President Zelensky and US President Biden met on the sideline of the G7 Summit at Hiroshima within hours of the statement  from the Kremlin at 1 am last Sunday, transmitting President Vladimir Putins greetings to the Russian forces for the completion of the operation to liberate Artemovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine.)

The operation lasted 224 days and turned into an epic battle. Ukraine paid a heavy price in blood in trying to hold onto Bakhmut, which came to be called a Meat Grinder. American analysts have listed twenty five Ukrainian brigades and at least 9 battalions and 5 regiments   an estimated deployment 120,000 troops at the very least thrown into the battle by Kiev. An estimated 70% casualties would mean that Ukraine suffered as many as 94,150 killed and wounded. It is a devastating defeat.

Conventional military doctrine says that an army attacking an entrenched force will need at least three times more soldiers than the defending force entrenched in fortifications. But Wagner fighters numbering 32,000 fighters faced off with a NATO proxy force almost 4 times bigger in numbers and equipped with modern weaponry.

The shock over the crushing defeat was writ large on the faces of US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as they faced the media at Hiroshima a few hours after the Kremlin statement appeared. Reading from a prepared text, Biden announced, in a major reversal of policy, that the US would be launching some new joint efforts with our partners to train Ukrainian pilots on a fourth-generation fighter aircraft like the F-16.

Meanwhile, in a series of showy incidents, Ukraine began hitting targets in Russia with US and British supplied weapons. There have been sporadic artillery and Himars missile attacks on Russian civilians in border towns; two drone attacks on the Kremlin; and British Storm Shadow cruise missile strikes on targets in Russia. In one particular instance last week, there has been a cross border incursion in the Belgorod region with US supplied vehicles and weapons. But none of these attacks can b...

New Bandit Stealer targets web browsers and cryptocurrency wallets "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Bandit Stealer is a new stealthy information stealer malware that targets numerous web browsers and cryptocurrency wallets.

Trend Micro researchers discovered a new info-stealing malware, dubbed Bandit Stealer, which is written in the Go language and targets multiple browsers and cryptocurrency wallets.

At this time, the malware only targets Windows systems, but experts pointed out that it has the potential to expand to other platforms because it is written in Go.

The malicious code relies on the Windows command-line utility program runas.exe to run programs as a different user with different permissions.

Using the tool, the malware elevates the users privileges and executes itself with administrative access without being detected. However, Trend Micro states Bandit Stealer is failing to use the tool because they need to provide the appropriate credentials.

Bandit Stealer performs some checks to determine if its running in a sandbox environment or testing environment.

The malware then terminates blacklisted processes associated with anti-malware solutions.

The Bandit Stealer maintains persistence by using an entry for autorun in Windows Registry.

The info-stealer collects a broad range of information and stores it in the vicinfo folder in <C:\Users\\AppData\Local\>.

Additionally, the malware scans for specific browser extensions associated with cryptocurrency wallets by checking the path of the browser extensions. reads the report published by Trend Micro.

Bandit Stealer

Bandit Stealer is also able to collect Telegram sessions to gain unauthorized access, allowing impersonation and malicious actions such as accessing private messages and data associated with the compromised account

The information-stealing malware might have been downloaded by users while visiting malicious web...

In mid-April, Washington State snowpack was near normal, while snowpack to the south was well above normal.

Then Washington experienced much warmer than normal temperatures in late April and May, as illustrated by the temperatures at Olympia below (normal highs are shown by the purple line)

The result of the warmth was a massive melt-off of the Cascade snowpack that has surged into local reservoirs, filling them to normal levels.

For example, consider the Yakima Reservoir system, so important for eastern Washington agriculture (see below).  Over two weeks of May, the reservoirs went from below-normal to normal levels.

Or take Seattle's situation.  Just like the Yakima reservoir system, with a very fast increase to normal levels during the past month.

From the Blog of Betsy J. Lawson, Monongalia County, WV, May 31, 2019

Dunkard Creek wanders above and below the Pennsylvania-West Virginia state line for much of its forty-three miles, seeming to taunt the rigidity of man-made boundaries. It was one of the most ecologically diverse streams in either state. But in August of 2009, people who lived along the stream witnessed an unimaginable sight: thousands of fish were trying to leap out of the water.

During the next month, about 22,000 fish washed ashore, many bleeding from the gills and covered in mucous. Some estimates say as many as 65,000 died. Three-foot long muskies washed up along the riverbanks. The die-off marked one of the worst ecological disasters in the regions history. <strong>Some 161 species of fish, mussels, salamanders, crayfish and aquatic insects were wiped out.</strong></p> <p><a href= "https://betsyjaeger.com/f/dunkard-creek-fish-kill">Department of Natural Resources officials from both states arrived at the crime scene to find answers.</a> Golden algae bloom was the cause. The algae releases a toxin that ruptures the tissue cells in the mouths and gills of fish, depriving them of oxygen and suffocating them. Algae bloom only lives in very salty waters.</p> <p>The DNR found that Consol Energy had been discharging acid mine drainage directly into Dunkard Creek for decades. In the spring of 2010, one of Consols primary contractors, Allans Waste Water Service, a wastewater hauling company, was charged with multiple counts of illegally dumping toxic waste, including Marcellus Shale-produced wastewater into Dunkard Creek and its tributaries. Wastewater from fracking is ten to twenty times more saline than sea water.</p> <p>In more recent years, hydraulic fracturing wells had been removing huge quantities of fresh water from the stream and dumping the wastewater back into the stream. Low water levels, high salt content from fracking wastewater, and especially high sulfate levels, typical of AMD, led to the algae bloom. US Govt Under Fire for Promoting Sales of Spyware "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

Uncle Sam confirms it's saying nothing:

The US International Trade Administration (ITA) has admitted it promotes the sale of American-approved commercial spyware to foreign governments, and won't answer questions about it, according to US Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR).

Wyden, in a letter to US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, has demanded answers about the surveillance and policing tech that ITA a US government agency pushes to other countries. And he wants the agency to name names when it comes to which companies' spyware is being promoted with US tax dollars.

ITA is housed within the US Commerce Department and tasked with promoting American exports. Wyden chairs the Senate Finance Committee, which has responsibility for international trade policy, and he's not happy.

The senator first requested info from ITA about promoting spyware abroad in May 2022. At that time, the agency confirmed it had promoted this type of technology, but it didn't answer questions about which products it endorsed and in which markets.

Both of these things are problematic. Commercial spyware has historically been used to target activists, journalists, and political dissidents, and when it ends up in the hands of authoritarian regimes, these people can end up dead.

Researchers develop calcium metal battery with long cycle life "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

As potential alternatives to lithium-ion batteries, rechargeable calcium (Ca) metal batteries offer advantageous features such as high energy density, cost-effectiveness, and natural elemental abundance. Its properties are also thought to help accelerate ion transport and diffusion in electrolytes and cathode materials, giving it an edge over other lithium-ion battery alternatives such as magnesium and zinc.

However, many challenges impede the development of practical Ca metal batteries. The challenges include the lack of an efficient electrolyte and the absence of cathode materials with sufficient Ca2+ storage capabilities.

Now, Tohoku University researchers have developed a prototype calcium metal rechargeable battery capable of 500 cycles of repeated charge-discharge the benchmark for practical use.

As we have mentioned any number of times over the course of doing this... we pay attention to Trends and Patterns. One of the reasons is that trends and patterns are what The Enemy of Humanity uses to condition The Public Mind... to groom The Mind into shaped perspectives that are formed incrementally... by small measured steps. The indication is that it all came about naturally. Even when it is... observably... unnatural.

This is what happened with The Gender Confusion Movement... and the sexual slo-mo perversity twister... as well as the twin-pronged devil's horns of Diversity and Inclusion. What is the opposite of Diversity? It is Unity. What is the point of Inclusion? It is to legitimize EVERYTHING... no matter what it is... in order to blur the boundaries of right and wrong... according to what makes a society and a culture stable and workable.

The intention is to tear the whole thing down and then build it back into a forced, group-think, concentration camp. It is the return of The Jacobins and the Khmer Rouge; and how did that work out?

They will not retreat willingly back into the darkness from which they emerged. They have been planning this for a long time. They infiltrated the military... and the educational system... and the political systems... and the religions of The World... they have corrupted the flow of information to reflect their own unclean desires as The New Normal.

They are... in reality... pawns of a higher architect... written in as collateral damage for a more colorful blueprint... for the purpose of suspense and excitement; if that's the sort of thing you go for. Is this a War? "IndyWatch Feed War"

Resetting the relationship between The State and The Citizen

LIES ARE UNBEKOMING | NOVEMBER 6, 2021

Ive been wondering for quite some time about whether we are in a War and the resolution of my thoughts on the subject has recently improved.

Oddly enough, I have some standing on the subject.

I lived in Iraq between 1981 to 1991, a period that covered almost all of the Iraq/Iran War and all of the Gulf War, the original, not the sequels.

It was an old school type of war, with two parties fighting over territory and trying to redraw a border. A lot of people died over 8 years and the border stayed the same. But weapons were sold, and internal power was consolidated.

Thats really what war is about, territory. You have something that I want, and I will fight you for it.

So, if this is a war, who are the warring parties and what is the fight over?

The war is between the state and the citizen. The latter is YOU and ME and its easy enough to understand (sort of), but THE STATE is not straightforward anymore and Ill cover that later.

The border between these two parties is being redrawn. The relationship between the State and the Citizen is being RESET.

When you hear about The Great Reset, that is what Reset really means.

Think back to your life, last year in Feb 2020. Think back to how you thought, what you did, what degree of intrusion the State had in your life and what level of control you had over your life and choices.

In Feb 2020 there was a border, a fairly large circle that you stood in the centre of. Everything within that circle was your domain, your freedoms, and your sovereignty.

Now, reflect on your life today, but more importantly reflect on the size of that circle. It obviously is much, much smaller today. The border between you and the State has been Reset.

Within that circle is a second circle that is much smaller, and it surrounds you almost like a second skin. Within this second circle, you have what is your bodily sovereignty. What is within your body is YOURS and not the States.

If you have acquiesced to the States injection, you have surrendered your bodily autonomy to the State. There is no border anymore between you and the State. Its a depressing conclusion but true.

Your rationalisation for taking it is irrelevant, you wouldnt have taken it but for the States lies and threats. Unless you took the flu vaccine every year religiously, to protect yourself and others, you have surrendered to the State. You may have had no c...

3D Printing Bores Without Support "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

If youve done even a small amount of 3D printing, you probably ran into the challenge of printing a small hole on top of a larger hole. The conventional solution is just to add support, but in the video after the break, [Angus] of Makers Muse demonstrates an alternative solution you can implement in CAD, without having to do manual post-processing.

This is a common problem when you have a countersink feature for a bolt head or captured nut on the bottom of the part. [Angus] first demonstrates some other techniques, including printing the bore over empty space, adding a sacrificial bridge, and making the overhang 45. Each of these work but have some trade-offs. The proposed solution is what [Angus] calls sequential overhangs. It involves bridging the sides of the open space in steps to create supporting edges onto which the bore perimeter can print. It starts with 2 or 3 bridging layers to create a rectangle the same width as the bore, and then a second set of bridges at 90 to turn...

Fantasy Farming "IndyWatch Feed World"

Bucolic fairytales are a threat to life on Earth.

By George Monbiot, published in the Guardian 26th May 2023

No issue is more important, and none so shrouded in myth and wishful thinking. The way we feed ourselves is the key determinant of whether we survive this century, as no other sector is as damaging. Yet we can scarcely begin to discuss it objectively, thanks to the power of comforting illusions.

Food has the extraordinary property of turning even the most progressive people into reactionaries. People who might accept any number of social and political changes can respond with fury if you propose our diets should shift. Stranger still, theres a gulf between ultraconservative beliefs about how we should eat and the behaviour of people who hold such beliefs. I have heard people cite a rule formulated by the food writer Michael Pollan Dont eat anything your great-great-great-grandmother wouldnt recognise as food while eating a diet (Thai one day, Mexican the next, Mediterranean the day after) whose range of ingredients no ones great-great-great-grandmother would recognise, and living much the better for it.

Something is blocking us, a deep repression that stands in the way of honest conversation. It pushes food writers, celebrity chefs and some environmentalists to propose answers to the planetary crisis that are even more damaging than the problems they claim to address. Their solutions, such as pasture-fed meat, with its massive land demand , are impossible to scale without destroying remaining wild ecosystems: there is simply not enough planet. What is this inhibition and how does it arise?

Its now a year since I published Regenesis, a book that has incited levels of fury shocking even to me. Ive spent much of this time trying to work out what makes people so angry. I think its because the book challenges what the cognitive historian Jeremy Lent calls a root metaphor: an idea so deeply embedded in our minds that it affects our preferences without our conscious knowledge.

The root metaphor in this case is exemplified by King Charles IIIs love affair with Transylvania, explored recently in the ...

Tel Aviv Colour Revolution "IndyWatch Feed War"

Israel Shamir The Unz Review May 27, 2023

For a few months, a colour revolution had been brewing in Israel. Tens of thousands of citizens demonstrated, every Saturday night, predominantly in Tel Aviv, but elsewhere too. The demos caused traffic jams and interfered badly with daily life in the country. At its height, over 250 000 persons participated in one demonstration in Tel Aviv. Then PM Bibi Netanyahu postponed his legal reforms until after the holidays. It helped a bit: the demos slimmed in size and intensity. Frictions with Palestinians have also helped the PM. Still, it was a strong movement, similar to such movements in other countries, such as the Kiev Maidan, the NY Occupy, the Beirut Gucci Revolution, Arab Spring, Velvet Rising, Orange Revolution, Dignity Revolution etc. et al.

Now we have learned something about the central causes of the movement, from the NYT. The NYT discovered, through US intelligence leaks, that the driver behind it and its coordination were supplied by Mossad and Shin Beth, the external and internal intelligence services of the Jewish State. It was not a complete surprise; Israeli media duly informed its consumers that Mossad staff were permitted to participate in the demos; and Mossads retired bosses were paraded by the rebels as their leaders. Their deeper participation was discovered by their American brethren. The rebels love for America was made quite obvious by their demos at the US embassy. The national blue-and-white banners flew over the crowds stressing their patriotism, together with plentiful stars-and-stripes.

Beside Mossad, the bankers actively supported the revolt. Private banks, Bank of Israel, financial structures were all for the revolt. So were the Generals, the army and high-ranking officers. And the nasty Schwab, represented by Yuval Noah Harari, was also with them. Amusingly the Israeli government officials characterize the opposition as the leftists. Sure, bankers, the Davos crowd and spies are the new communists! Feminists and Soross people also support the movement. Meanwhile Justice Minister Yariv Levin has claimed that the US administration is aiding Israeli protesters against the coalitions judicial reform plan. Washington is working in cooperation with them on this, as you can see from the things said by the people in the government there, Levin told haredi (ultra-Orthodox) political operatives, in a video first published by Walla on Monday.

Mr Levin stated that the new government has absolutely no tools all the banks, the courts, and heads of the army belong to the opposition (or rather, the Deep State). Legal reform is needed in order to level the playing field. Trump found himself in a similar situation but he had no plans about how to fight his way out of it. New Star Trek-style device harvests clean energy out of thin air "IndyWatch Feed War"

  • Portable device traps humid air, forming small, man-made thunderclouds
  • Researchers compare their tech to harvesting electricity from lightning

Matthew Phelan Daily Mail May 24, 2023

Just like the replicator on Star Trek: The Next Generation, a new clean energy prototype promises to work wonders out of thin air.

The researchers call it Air-gen, a mobile electricity generation device that uses a network of protein nanowires to turn the ambient humidity in the air into contained, synthetic thunderstorms.

This human-built, small-scale cloud, these scientists said, can produce electricity predictably and continuously in a wider variety of conditions than sun-dependent solar cells or wind-dependent turbines.

The team hopes to see Air-gen scaled up for mass use across the world in environments ranging from the Amazon rainforest to the Sahara.

The air contains an enormous amount of electricity, according to the studys senior author, Dr. Jun Yao of Massachusetts University Amherst. Think of a cloud, which is nothing more than a mass of water droplets.

Each of those droplets contains a charge, and when conditions are right, the cloud can produce a lightning bolt, Dr. Yao said, but we dont know how to reliably capture electricity from lightning.

Yaos Air-gen solves this problem by replicating the conditions of energy-rich thunderclouds, trapping that charged water vapor inside a network of tiny, nano-scale pores.

Luckily, Yao said, a lot of different materials can be used to harvest energy from this technique.

It just needs to have holes smaller than 100 nm (nanometers) or less than a thousandth of the width of a human hair.

In fact, when his team first started testing this technology three years ago, they used a specialized material of protein nanowires generated from a bacterial culture of Geobacter sulfurreducens.

Essentially, Yao and his team confirmed that they could continuously harvest electricity off a petri dish using their Air-gen effect.

The 100 nm-size is so important to the process, the team says, because it scales to what chemists know as the mean free path the distance a single molecule of water vapor can float in midair before it bumps into another.

With these tiny pores, the researchers realized that they could create a build-up of electrical charge as water molecules passed through their nanotubes. The effect is almost like balloons generating static electricity, if they were forced to pass through a tube made of thick carpeting.

The Air-gen system creates a charge imbalance, in essence, as the upper end of the pore system builds...

Greenwald: Regime Journalists Promote The Right Conspiracy Theories To Be Successful "IndyWatch Feed War"

Steve Watson Infowars.com May 25, 2023

Independent investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald succinctly summarises how regime media narratives are formed and disseminated, and that any journalist who questions the process ends up a target for destruction by the establishment.

During his System Update broadcast on Rumble, Greenwald noted how Journalists who spread conspiracy theories that the CIA wants them to spread get promoted, and the journalists who question the conspiracy theories of the CIA get destroyed.

Its not prohibited in American corporate journalism to spread false stories and conspiracy theories, Greenwald asserted, adding In fact, thats the only way you can thrive in journalism.

The people who have lied the most, and who spread the most conspiracy theories, are the ones who have been promoted and enriched most within corporate journalism, he further urged.

The difference is, the way to advance in journalism is to tell lies and spread conspiracy theories on behalf of the CIA, and that advance the interests of the U.S. government. That is not only permitted. That is required to be promoted, Greenwald emphasised.

He continued, What you cant do, the thing that [Seymour] Hersh did that got him expelled from journalism, is he spread what are called conspiracy theories that are against the narrative of the U.S. security state, that undermined U.S. foreign policy. That is the only thing that is prohibited. Thats what gets you kicked out of journalism.

Greenwald was referring to Hershs reporting on the destruction of Russias Nord Stream pipeline, which the veteran journalist is adamant was a coordinated operation by U.S. intelligence.

Greenwald continued, As long as the conspiracy theories youre affirming and the false stories youre publishing are aligned with what the CIA, Pentagon, and the entire rest of the corporate media says, youre fine. In fact, youre better than fine. Youre going to have all kinds of rewards lavished upon you.

Greenwald then cited the example of e...

Government Ministers Alarmed that the WHO Could Gain Powers to Impose Lockdown on U.K. "IndyWatch Feed War"

Will Jones The Daily Telegraph May 26, 2023

Lockdown measures could be imposed on the U.K. by the World Health Organisation (WHO) during a future pandemic under sweeping new powers, Government ministers fear. The Telegraph has the story.

Member states would be obliged to follow the agencys instructions when responding to pandemics, including by introducing vaccine passports, border closures and quarantine measures, under a draft update to its regulations.

A new pandemic treaty under discussion would also force Britain to spend 5% of its health budget on preparing for another virus outbreak.

Ministers are understood to be alarmed by plans to increase the WHOs powers enabling its governing body to require countries to hand over the recipe of vaccines, regardless of intellectual property rights, and to counter misinformation.

Conservative MPs have written to ministers to warn of an ambition evident for the WHO to transition from an advisory organisation to a controlling international authority.

In their letter, seen by the Telegraph, they urge the Foreign Office to block powers that appear to intrude materially into the U.K.s ability to make its own rules and control its own budgets.

Responding to the concerns on Thursday, Andrew Mitchell, a Foreign Office minister, told the Telegraph that he would block any law that prevents the U.K. from setting its own health policy.

The UK is supportive of the pandemic treaty currently being negotiated by national governments, which could speed up the sharing of data on new pandemic threats so we are able to respond quickly in the event of future pandemics, he said.

Were clear that we would never agree to anything that crosses our points of principle on sovereignty or prevents the U.K. from taking decisive action against future pandemics.

The rule changes have been proposed as part of plans to update the WHOs International Health Regulations (IHRs) in light of the coronavirus pandemic and establish a new Pandemic Preparedness Treaty.

The treaty was first proposed by world leaders including Boris Johnson in 2021 during the pandemic and was originally designed to improve alert systems, data-sharing and the production of vaccines to foster an all of government and all of society approach.

But among 300 proposed amendme...

Russia: US equipment used in border raid shows growing Western role in Ukraine "IndyWatch Feed War"

Andrew Osborne Reuters May 24, 2023

The Kremlin said on Wednesday the use of U.S.-made military hardware by pro-Ukrainian fighters who conducted a raid on a Russian border region this week was testament to the Wests growing involvement in the Ukraine conflict.

The Russian military said on Tuesday it had routed militants who attacked the Russian border region of Belgorod with armoured vehicles the previous day, killing more than 70 Ukrainian nationalists and pushing the remainder back into Ukraine.

It said it had destroyed four armoured vehicles and five pick-up trucks to repel what was one of the largest incursions onto Russian soil from Ukraine since Moscow launched what it calls its special military operation in Ukraine 15 months ago.

Footage of some of the destroyed vehicles released by the Russian defence ministry showed U.S.-made military hardware such as Humvee military trucks.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of damaged vehicles and surrounding details shown in the video, though could not verify the date it was filmed.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu promised on Wednesday that Moscow would respond to any more cross-border raids by Ukrainian militants swiftly and extremely harshly.

It is no secret for us that more and more equipment is being delivered to Ukraines armed forces, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters when asked about the fighters use of U.S.-made hardware.

It is no secret that this equipment is being used against our own military. And it is no secret for us that the direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in this conflict is growing by the day. We are drawing the appropriate conclusions.

Military analysts said this weeks two-day incursion could force the Kremlin to divert troops from front lines as Kyiv prepares a major counteroffensive it hopes will eventually defeat what it casts as an unprovoked Russian war of conquest...

Ukraine Sent Poor, Untrained Men Into Bakhmut Meat Grinder to Save Better Forces for Counteroffensive "IndyWatch Feed War"

Dave DeCamp AntiWar.com May 25, 2023

Ukraine sent untrained recruits into the battle of Bakhmut to save its professional soldiers for an expected counteroffensive, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

The Journal spoke with men who were part of a small group that was sent into Bakhmut, which became known as the meat grinder, just a few days after being mobilized.

Out of 16 men in the group of draftees, 11 were either killed or captured. The Journal described them as mostly poor men from villages in the northeastern Kharkiv region, many of them unemployed, doing odd jobs as handymen or shift work at factories in the regional capital.

Some of the men had military training years or decades ago, but none had combat experience. A few of them threatened to refuse orders when they were told they were being sent to the frontlines on February 21, citing a lack of training, but they ultimately went.

One man, Vladyslav Yudin, told the Journal that he told a sergeant major that he had never fired or even held a gun before. Bakhmut will teach you, Yudin was told.

The men participated in brutal house-to-house combat in Bakhmut. Many of them are presumed dead, but their families are still holding out hope that they were captured by the Russians and are still alive.

The mens accounts match what Ukrainians fighting on the frontlines had been telling the media while the battle was still raging. They told stories of troops being sent in with little support, training, or ammunition.

The Washington Post spoke to a Ukrainian battalion commander in March who said he was being sent fresh recruits who didnt want to fire their guns because they were afraid of the sound.

Despite Kyivs Western backers advising against expending resources on Bakhmut, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tried to hold onto the city for as long as he could, but it was fully captured by the Wagner Group and Russian forces this past weekend.

Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin estimated that 50,000 Ukrainians lost their lives fighting for the city, but the number is not confirmed. Prigozhin also said that he recruited 50,000 people from prison to fight in Bakhmut and about 20% of them were killed.

The C19 mRNA and viral vector injections have successfully raped more than 5 billion adults worldwide, harvesting tens of millions of lives of the elderly, indigent and infirm and embedding conditions and co-morbidities that will require expensive treatment protocols that are multiples of the 50 bucks or so cost for a couple of  C19 injections.

The UK government showed again how corrupt and incompetent it is by giving Moderna a billion pound order for an mRNA based flu vaccine that has not yet completed Phase 1 clinical trials amongst 50 young and healthy individuals the biggest users of existing (quadrivalent) flu vaccines are the over 65s with >75% take up. These are not in the control or placebo groups. The placebo group is, drum roll, the quadrivalent existing flu shot. God forbid a real un-dosed placebo group is used, just to check other stuff.

(100) How much did Moderna bribe UK Health Regulators and politicians to sign a billion pound contract for a universal mRNA flu vaccine? Zero? 20 million pounds? 50 million pounds? (substack.com)

National health systems, already creaking prior to the pandemic, will face ever increasing demands from a staff complement either killed outright by the injections, or disabled, or who are seeking employment in less murderous professions.

No news or more studies on the INTERACTIONS between existing treatment protocols and the C19 mRNA injections. This will show up in mortality data and hospital admissions over time.

The latest update for deaths and injuries reported to the European adverse events reporting system maintained by the EMA,  EUDRA, to 25 February 2023 is here:

Multiply those numbers above by around 6-8 to imagine the global impact based on proportionate share that the US+EU has of global doses. Then multiply that by around 30-40 to adjust for the URF where those responsible for inflicting death and harm do not report to the vaccine harm reporting systems.

A new "pandemic treaty" under discussion would also force Britain to spend five per cent of its health budget on preparing for another virus outbreak. Ministers are understood to be alarmed by plans to increase the WHO's powers enabling its governing body to require countries to hand over the recipe of vaccines, regardless of intellectual property rights, and to counter misinformation. Conservative MPs have written to ministers to warn of an "ambition evident...for the WHO to transition from an advisory organisation to a controlling international authority".

Germans are outraged about the country's oil and gas boiler ban "IndyWatch Feed World"

Germans are criticizing a government plan to ban oil and gas boilers and replace them with heat pumps, arguing it is happening too fast and is going to cost a lot of money. Germany wants to become net-zero by 2045. To this end, the government recently announced it would ban boilers working with fossil fuels, effectively forcing people to switch to heat pumps as the only green enough option for people with no access to district heating. The cost of the ban is estimated at over 9 billion euros, or $10 billion, annually until 2028. After that, according to the Scholz government, costs will drop by almost half thanks to a ramp-up in heat pump production and a scale-up of wind and solar capacity. The government is offering financial help to households, to the tune of 30% of the cost of the switch but Germans appear to not be particularly enticed by that offer.

Covid vaccines - A colossal failure around the world "IndyWatch Feed World"

Note to readers: I have updated this article on 4/24/23 showing a CDC contradiction regarding 2020 all cause mortality, with commentary. See the next 3 paragraphs. I then updated it again on 5/18/23, to correct a typo in one of the cited links, as well as a misplaced link. Thanks to an alert reader. The COVID vaccines - and the new bivalents, of which they are a part - are alarmingly and irredeemably unsafe, as well as ineffective for the advertised purposes. It is increasingly recognized by laypeople, physicians and scientists throughout the world that the COVID-19 vaccines are neither safe nor effective nor reversible. In this article, I show irrefutable proof that the COVID vaccines are irredeemably ineffective. (See many dozens of my other Substack articles, and my book Neither Safe Nor Effective, on how dangerous these vaccines are.) Teens in Australia Talk About How to Fix School Sex Education "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

'We haven't been taught about sex': Teens talk about how to fix school sex education:

Last week, the Albanese government announced an expert panel to support relationships and sexuality education in Australian schools.

The group is lead by the head of anti-violence organization Our Watch, Patty Kinnersly, and includes consent advocate Chanel Contos. It will do a "rapid review" into consent and respectful relationships programs to identify "opportunities for improvement."

This follows a new focus on consent and healthy relationships in Australian schools. The former Coalition government made consent a mandatory part of the curriculum.

We are talking to teenagers about the sex education they receive at schools. This research highlights several areas young people think can be improved. They are particularly concerned sex education most often does not discuss actual sex.

As part of broader, ongoing research into online sexual content, we interviewed 30 West Australian teens (aged 11-17), between 2021 and 2023, to explore their experiences of sex education and where they source information to answer their questions about sex and relationships.

Eighteen interviewees were followed up with 12 months after we had first spoken, to see if their perspectives had changed.

Interviews began as some schools started teaching consent in 2021, with sexual assault being widely debated in the wake of the women's March4Justice rallies around the country and a school sexual assault petition spearheaded by Contos. We have continued to gather young people's perspectives as consent education became mandatory at the start of this school year.

The collateral damage of the pandemic response was "substantial, wide-ranging and will leave behind a legacy of harm for hundreds of millions of people", a major new study has found. Reviewing and synthesising 600 publications focused on the impact of the pandemic response, Dr. Kevin Bardosh of the Universities of Washington and Edinburgh concluded that these wide and deep societal harms "should challenge the dominant mental model of the pandemic response". The abstract provides a succinct summary of the study, which is currently in pre-print:

SsshhhLets Take a Beat "IndyWatch Feed Politics.eu"

There was something striking about the reaction to this excellent BBC NI story by Robbie Meredith about the brave stance taken by school student Angel Mhande, who spoke up about her personal experience of a specific book being used as a GCSE text.

Angel explained that its really uncomfortable sitting in a classroom where we have to listen to racist slurs and comments during discussion of John Steinbecks Of Mice and Men.

This insight from Angel needs no more discussion in this piece as, after all, the most important voice is that of the student. And its available in full online for anyone to read/ hear.

But the worrying thing about the online response to the story?  Next to no one engaged with the actual experience courageously highlighted for us by Angel or showed any appreciation to Angel for speaking out.

At the time of writing, replies taking Twitter as an example were in such a rush to shout an opinion that they forgot to listen. This means they forgot to hear a young person with personal insight speaking about a difficult experience, a basic human communication skills most of us would like to think we possess (not least because many of us are parents).

The interviewee and this is the vital bit wasnt asking for our opinion. She was asking to be heard and for her concerns to be properly considered in full recognition of her experience.

Even aside from the usual dismissive trolls dripping in misogyny and/or racism, the replies broadly tell an appalling story about how we all listen to young people, how we listen to people speaking about a difficult experience and even how we listen to each other full stop.

The breathless rush to add an opinion to everything in 2023, a social media era trend no doubt enabled by media outlets prioritising hours and hours of phone-in noise over the hard work and social value of real news, means important people arent being heard.

And were potentially at a stage of basic human interaction, empathy and listening skills being reduced to screaming at each other one phone-in call or 280-character rant at a time.

Two worshippers and three security officers have been killed in a gun attack near Africas oldest synagogue, on the Tunisian island of Djerba. []

The two dead worshippers were cousins.

They have been named by Israeli media as French national Benjamin Haddad, 42, and Aviel Haddad, 30, a dual citizen of Tunisia and Israel.

BBC audiences saw no coverage of the funeral of the Israeli victim Aviel Haddad in Netivot on May 12th (amid rocket attacks on southern Israel) or the identification of the perpetrator by the Tunisian authorities the previous day.

A Tunisian national guardsman behind an attack that killed five people intentionally targeted the ancient synagogue on the Mediterranean island of Djerba in a premeditated act, Tunisias interior minister said Thursday, as authorities also revealed the assailants name. []

CISA adds recently patched Barracuda zero-day to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

US CISA added recently patched Barracuda zero-day vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) added a recently patched Barracuda zero-day vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog.

This week, the network security solutions provider Barracuda warned customers that some of its Email Security Gateway (ESG) appliances were recently breached by threat actors exploiting a now-patched zero-day vulnerability.

The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2023-2868, resides in the module for email attachment screening, the issue was discovered on May 19 and the company fixed it with the release of two security patches on May 20 and 21.

Barracuda identified a vulnerability (https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2023-2868) in our Email Security Gateway appliance (ESG) on May 19, 2023. A security patch to eliminate the vulnerability was applied to all ESG appliances worldwide on Saturday, May 20, 2023. reads the advisory published by the security solutions provider. The vulnerability existed in a module which initially screens the attachments of incoming emails.

The issue could have a significant impact because the impacted Email Security Gateway (ESG) appliances are used by hundreds of thousands of organizations worldwide, including several high-profile businesses.

The vulnerability doesnt impact other Barracuda products, the company states that its SaaS email security services is not affected by this issue.

The company investigated the flaw and discovered that it was exploited to target a subset of email gateway appliances. The company notified via the ESG user interface the customers whose appliances they believe were impacted.

According to Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 22-01: Reducing the Significant Risk of Known Exploited Vulnerabilities, FCEB agencies have to address the identified vulnerabilities by the due date to protect their networks against attacks exploiting the flaws in the catalog.

Experts recommend also private organizations review the Catalog and address the vulnerabilities in their infrastructure.

CISA orders federal agencies to fix this flaw by June 16, 2023.

There has been a huge backlash against Target just like Budweiser. Both boards of directors should be fired and barred from ever serving on any board or any corporation EVER! If you cannot consent to sex no matter what under the law before 18, then how can a child consent to a sex change before 18 openly denying any notification to parents?

This has gone way too far. This is no longer about equality and inclusionism. This is indoctrination and it will be remembered by historians as a critical factor for the collapse of Western society. I will NEVER buy a Budweiser product again nor anything from Target. Corporations are here to serve EVERYONE, and if they stood up and said will only vote for a Democrat or a Republican, they have entered the realm of politics. That is what is taking place here. Hibernation Artificially Triggered in Potential Space Travel Breakthrough "IndyWatch Feed Tech"

If discovery is feasible in humans it could be used to send astronauts into suspended animation:

[...] In science fiction, space crews are often spared the boredom and inconvenience of long-distance space travel by being placed into a state of suspended animation. Now this goal may have come a step closer after scientists showed that hibernation can be artificially triggered in rodents using ultrasonic pulses.

The advance is seen as significant because the technique was effective in rats animals that do not naturally hibernate. This raises the prospect that humans may also retain a vestigial hibernation circuit in the brain that could be artificially reactivated.

"If this proves feasible in humans, we could envision astronauts wearing a helmet-like device designed to target the hypothalamus region for inducing a hypothermia and hypometabolism state," said Hong Chen, an associate professor at Washington University in St Louis, who led the work.

The team first identified a specific group of neurons in a deep brain region called the hypothalamus preoptic area, which were found to be involved in regulating body temperature and metabolism during hibernation. They showed that, in mice, these neurons could be artificially activated using ultrasound, delivered non-invasively through a helmet.

When stimulated, the mice showed a drop in body temperature of about 3C for about one hour. The mice's metabolism also shifted from using both carbohydrates and fat for energy to only fat, a key feature of torpor, and their heart rates fell by about 47%, all while at room temperature.

Former CBC reporter says outlet suppressed negative stories about COVID shots, lockdowns "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Anthony Murdoch | LifeSiteNews | May 25, 2023

OTTAWA, Ontario A former journalist who worked for the state-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) shockingly revealed that reporters were stopped from being able to cover stories critical of COVID vaccines and lockdowns, and were instead encouraged to push government propaganda.

The shocking revelations were made by past CBC Manitoba reporter Marianne Klowak during testimony at the National Citizens Inquiry (NCI) on May 18 in Ottawa.

I know that as a public broadcaster, youd expect us to be telling you the truth, and we stopped doing that, said Klowak.

And it was a number of stories that I have put forward that were blocked, but it seemed to me as a journalist whod been there 34 years, its like the rules had changed overnight. And it changed so quickly that it left me just dizzy.

Klowak noted that it was her editors who prevented her from doing stories in relation to protests against the COVID mandates, as well as reports of people having adverse events to the COVID shots, as reported by doctors.

She noted she had witnessed in a very short time the collapse of journalism, news gathering, investigative reporting, adding that the way she saw it is that we were in fact pushing propaganda.

Not only had we shut down one side by silencing and discrediting anyone opposing the narrative, we had elevated and designated ourselves as gatekeepers of the truth. We no longer believed our audience was capable of thinking for themselves, she told the NCI.

Klowak said a story of hers about a woman who had a COVID vaccine injury was completely neutered, or in effect sanitized.

It should be just a straight story about someone who suffered an adverse reaction and we shouldnt downplay it, she noted.

Instead, the way I saw it, her story was buried in experts and health officials and stats, which sanitized it.

Klowak admitted that journalists failed to hold power to account and no one was holding the media to account.

In July of 2022, Klowak...

Saudia Arabia buying up Russian diesel, selling its own to Europe "IndyWatch Feed World"

Saudi Arabia is snapping up millions of barrels of Russian diesel that Europe no longer allows, while simultaneously sending its own supplies back to buyers in the EU. Simultaneously, it became Europe's top supplier, leapfrogging Russia since February. Im happy to report that things appeared to go very well for us in court this week, as you will see below. We are hopeful that the judge will grant the requested injunction. This will be the first major step in dismantling the governments vast, unconstitutional censorship regime. AARON KHERIATY, MD

Many of you have heard me discuss this case in detail, as I have been reporting on it diligently for the past year. However, some of you are unsure of why it is important, or what it all means. This thread will serve as a summary to this point, and a detailed explanation of the last filing in the case which is a virtual handbook to government censorship based on the limited discovery provided so far.

Missouri v. Biden was filed on May 5, 2022. Since it was initially filed, it has taken quite a trip through the court system. The complaint has been amended three times, with the most recent amendment being to transform the case into a class suitthis due to the overwhelming evidence of broad harm to the constitutional rights of all Americans. You can view the docket by using the link here.

The complaint alleged that the US Government was not only threatening and coercing social media companies to censor Americans on social media, but they were also working with social media companies to accomplish that goal. It alleged that topics surrounding covid, the origins of covid, the Great Barrington Declaration, election integrity concerns, the covid shot, the Hunter Biden laptop story (and more) were under scrutiny by the White House and other government agenciesand that the government had very publicly threatened to take action against social media companies should they not act to censor viewpoints on those topics that were disfavored by the government.

The Vax-Gene Files: An Accidental Discovery "IndyWatch Feed War"

By Julie Sladden| Brownstone Institute | MAY 27, 2023

In 1928 scientist Alexander Fleming returned to his laboratory after a 2-week holiday. A petri dish of bacteria accidentally left on the lab bench, somehow became cross-contaminated with Penicillium notatum mould. Fleming noticed the mould inhibited the growth of the bacteria. This accidental discovery marked the dawn of the antibiotic era and a turning point in medical, and perhaps human history.

Recently, another accidental discovery has scientists wondering whether we have turned another corner in history.

The story begins with Kevin McKernan, a scientist with 25 years experience in the genomic field and a leading expert in sequencing methods for DNA and RNA. He has worked on the Human Genome Project and more recently in medicinal genomics involving DNA sequencing.

In the process of trying to sort out a sequencing problem, McKernan used anonymously sent, Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 bivalent vaccines to act as mRNA controls.

Somebody sent me these thinking, this is the perfect control It should be pure. So, if you get this to work, youll sort out your mRNA sequencing problems, McKernan explains in a recent interview.  They were right about that. It did sort out our problems. But what we discovered in the process is that they werent pure mRNA. They actually had a lot of DNA in the background.

McKernan was shocked, Its not what we were looking for I had this hunch that the new modified nucleotides they have in the mRNA may have a higher error rate, and therefore we would see more mistakes in the mRNA. So, I knew we would have to sequence like a millionfold deep over and over again to find these mistakes. When we did that DNA popped up and I thought Oh, thats a bigger problem. We have to focus on that. I kind of went into panic mode, realizing that I didnt budget any time to look into this, and the world has to know about it.

Lets pause here and look at what were told about the Covid-19 mRNA injections.  Were assured:

  • The injections are safe. Meanwhile, adverse event reporting systems around the world record previously unseen rates of adverse events and injuries;
  • The injections are effective. We would ask: Effective for what? Not stopping transmission. Were not sure about preventing serious illness either evidenced by recent data and New South Wales Health...

Independent Media in the Social Struggle: An Interview with Avispa Midia "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

The following features an interview between IGD and Avispa Midia about the role of independent and autonomous media in social struggles in Latin go here.

IGD: Can you tell us a little about the history of Avispa Midia and how it came about?

AM: Avispas history is rooted in our previous involvement with alternative media, and directly with activism. Some of us come from other media projects like SubVersiones and Desinformmonos. There are also compaeras from Brazil who participated with the Free Media Center in Brazil, along with other community radio projects.

Avispa is an initiative that emerged initially in Brazil at the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015, in the context of the forced disappearance of the 43 students of the Normal Rural School of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero. We took it upon ourselves, together with the families of the disappeared students of Ayotzinapa, to carry out a tour of South America. At that moment, we went to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. We coordinated with different groups and collectives to receive the family members of the disappeared students and to visit resistance processes in the south of the continent. It was in that moment that we began to articulate our work into a collective project grounded in communication.

Later, we returned to Mexico, and the bulk of the collective concentrated here. However, there are folks who participate in this project from many different geographies including Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras. There are compas in the United States and Canada, some in Europe. There are many different collectives who contribute to the work of this collectivity, with audiovisual material, reports, translations, multimedia creation, among other media and communication formats.

IGD: What radical/autonomous media projects inspired you all to start this one?

AM: More than a specific media project, what inspired us was a political identity, and that political identity is Zapatismo. The Zapatista movement launched its call to organize, everyone according to their modes and forms, according to their times and limitations. We responded to that call with the tools of communication. We consider media to be a terrain of struggle where we must confront the commercial and hegemonic media. We are clear that there is no impartiality in the media. On the contrary, the grand majority of the conventional media serve the interests of the state and capital, personal interests, as well as certain groups of power.

War and Friendship in a Time of War "IndyWatch Feed World"

Salman Rushdie once commented that those who are displaced by war are the shining shards that reflect the truth. With so many people fleeing wars and ecological collapse in our world today, and more to come, we need acute truth-telling to deepen our understanding and recognize the terrible faults of those who have caused so much suffering in our world today. The Mercenary: A Story of Brotherhood and Terror in the Afghanistan War (Public Affairs, 2023) has accomplished a tremendous feat inasmuch as every paragraph aims to tell the truth.

In The Mercenary, Jeffrey Stern takes on the appalling disaster of war in Afghanistan and in doing so extols the rich and complicated possibilities for a deepening friendship to grow in such an extreme environment. Sterns self-disclosure challenges readers to acknowledge our limits when we build new friendships, while also examining the terrible costs of war.

Stern develops the two main characters, Aimal, the friend in Kabul who becomes like his brother, and himself, in part by telling and then retelling particular events, so that we learn what happened from his perspective and then, in retrospect, from Aimals substantially different point of view.

As he introduces us to Aimal, Stern lingers, crucially, over the relentless hunger afflicting Aimal in his younger years. Aimals widowed mother, strapped for income, relied on her innovative young sons to try and protect the family from starvation. Aimal gets plenty of reinforcement for being cunning and becoming a talented hustler.  He becomes a breadwinner for his family before he reaches his teen years. And he also benefits from an unusual education, one that offsets the mind-numbing boredom of living under Taliban restrictions, when he ingeniously manages to gain access to a satellite dish and learn about the privileged white people portrayed in western TV, including the children whose fathers prepare breakfast for them, an image which never leaves him.

I recall a brief film, seen shortly after the 2003 Shock and Awe bombing, which depicted a young woman teaching elementary students in a rural Afghan province. The children sat on the ground, and the teacher had no equipment other than chalk and a board. She needed to tell the children that something had happened very far away, on the other si...

Officials: UN Chief Shocked by Letter from Sudans Military Ruler Demanding Removal of UN Envoy

By SAMY MAGDY

People gather at the home of a volunteer, where they can charge their mobile phones, in Khartoum, Sudan, Thursday, May 25, 2023. The fighting between Sudans military and a powerful paramilitary force has displaced more than 1.3 million people, the U.N. migration agency said Wednesday. (AP Photo)

CAIRO (AP) The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was shocked by a letter from Sudans military ruler, demanding the removal of the U.N. envoy to the country, Sudanese and U.N. officials said Saturday.

The letter by Gen. Abdel-Fattah Burhan, Sudans top military official and head of the ruling Sovereign Council, comes as Sudan plunged into further chaos after worsening tensions between military rivals exploded into an open fighting last month.

The Secretary-General is shocked by the letter he received this (Friday) morning, U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. The Secretary-General is proud of the work done by (U.N. envoy) Volker Perthes and reaffirms his full confidence in his Special Representative.

Dujarric didnt reveal the contents of the letter. However, a senior military official said Burhans letter asked Guterres to replace Perthes who was appointed to the post in 2021.

According to the official, Burhan accused Perthes of being partisan, and that his approach in pre-war talks between the generals and the pro-democracy movement helped inflame the conflict. The talks had aimed at restoring the countrys democratic transition which was derailed by a military coup in Oct. 2021.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief media.

Perthes declined to comment neither on the letter.

Burhan accused Perthes last year of exceeding the U.N. missions mandate and of blatant interference in Sudanese affairs. He threatened to expel him from the country.

The ongoing fighting broke out in mid-April between the military and the powerful Rapid Support F...

High octane crazy blood! "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

Blood is life, you know. Thats been the lesson from science documentaries like Dracula and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Remember creepy weird Bryan Johnson, the middle-aged Silicon Valley techbro who want to live forever by gobbling down lots of supplements, slathering on the skin creams, and eating a strangely specific diet? Now he has decided that vampirism is the answer.

An anti-aging zealot who spends $2 million a year in a quest to turn back time has dragged his teenage son into being his personal blood boy.

Bryan Johnson, the 45-year-old tech tycoon who wants to keep his internal organs, including his penis and rectum, functioning youthfully enlisted 17-year-old Talmage to provide blood transfusions, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

At a clinic near Dallas last month, Johnson, his 70-year-old dad, Richard, and Talmage showed up for an hours-long, tri-generational blood-swapping treatment, the outlet reported.

Johnson usually receives plasma from an anonymous donor, but this time Talmage provided a liter of his blood, which was converted into batches of piece parts a batch of liquid plasma and another of red and white blood cells and platelets.

Ugh. This is creepy child abuse although they did it in Texas, where they hate children, so hell probably get away with it. Even if this worked, I wouldnt ask my children to ever do this for me.

I also notice the icky Elizabeth Holmes-style pose. Its all quackery.

Presenting: Mister Elegance "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

This, Dear Readers, is Mister Elegance. For those who cant see, hes a mostly black cat, sitting hunched over with one hind leg (with a white foot) stuck forward a little awkwardly. You dont notice it much when hes walking, but when he sits, that leg always sticks out oddly. I call him Mr. Elegance, because hes always making a leg.

It is exceedingly clever.

This, Dear Readers, is Mister Elegance. For those who can't see, he's a mostly black cat, sitting hunched over with one hind leg (with a white foot) stuck forward a little awkwardly. You don't notice it much when he's walking, but when he sits, that leg always sticks out oddly.

Mr. Elegance is one of a few cats (and foxes) that wander through my little corner of Dublin, and while most of them seem to have homes (keep your cats indoors, if you value your ecosystem), I get the impression that Mr. Elegance is on his own in the world. In this next picture, you can see him trying to get a grip on a misshapen toilet paper tube.

The cat's leg is still stuck out, but now his head is sideways on the moss, as he tries to get a good angle on the cardboard tube

He likes to hang out on the roof of my shed, which is right outside my window. Its covered in moss and twigs, and gets some sun during the day. I put some catnip in the cardboard tube, and tossed it down onto the roof for him. In this next picture, you can see that hes gripping the tube in both front paws, and biting it very ferociously.

He first showed up a couple years ago. We already have one cat, who doesnt play well with others, and its a small flat. We also cant really afford another cat, so we have to settle for being friendly, and supplying drugs. In the next picture, hes rabbit-kicking the tube, but his face looks a little bored.

There was a period of almost a year when we didnt see him around, and we worried about him. I suppose its not good news for the birds, but I was glad when he showed up again. In the next  picture, hes dropping the tube, and looking up at me, looking down at him.

After hed gotten hi...

EU Parliament COVID-19 Summit: 'Covid-19 was an Act of Biological Warfare Perpetrated on the Human Race and a Financial Heist' "IndyWatch Feed World"

EU Parliament COVID-19 Summit: 'Covid-19 was an Act of Biological Warfare Perpetrated on the Human Race and a Financial Heist' | 26 May 2023 | The EU Parliament held the International COVID-19 Summit III in Brussels, Belgium, earlier this month. In a recent address to the European Parliament, a U.S. businessman specializing in patent auditing, David Martin, claimed that COVID-19 was not a natural occurrence but a calculated act of "biological warfare and a financial heist. Nature was hijacked, science was hijacked." In his presentation in front of the EU parliament, Martin argued that the pandemic we said happened in the last few years did not overnight, citing sources in the public domain. According to him, the coronavirus was first identified in 1965 and serves as a model pathogen. In addition, they learned that coronaviruses can be modified.

Texas House of Representatives Impeaches Republican AG Ken Paxton "IndyWatch Feed Nthamerica"

In a highly partisan political environment, it has become rare for members of either party to hold one of their own to account. But thats exactly what happened Saturday afternoon, when the Texas House of Representatives voted to impeach Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton.

In spite of intense criticism from their own state party, high-ranking GOP officials and leading conservative voices, the House, in which the GOP holds an 86-64 majority, voted 121 to 23 to impeach Paxton.

To many who have followed his career, this impeachment was long overdue. Calling the attorney general scandal-plagued would be an understatement.

First elected in 2014, Paxton has been in legal trouble and a variety of scandals for most of his time in office, beginning with an indictment on felony securities fraud charges in 2015. To this point, however, Republicans have been giving him a pass and voters kept electing him.

The straw that broke the camels back was Paxtons request to have the Texas legislature pay $3.3 million that he agreed to pay four former staffers to settle a lawsuit they brought against him. In 2020, these whistleblowers had accused the attorney general of committing bribery, abuse of office, and other unspecified offenses.

Shortly after coming forward, the four aides were fired and brought their lawsuit.

Earlier this week, the Texas House General Investigating Committee unanimously recommended to impeach him in large part based on this episode. In total, they presented 20 articles of impeachment that cover everything from accusing him of taking bribes and obstructing justice to making false statements on official documents.

The issue has sharply divided the Texas GOP this week. Matt Rinaldi, the chairman of the state party, blasted House Republicans for initiating the impeachment proceedings and said they were the latest front in the Texas Houses war against Republicans to stop the conservative direction of our state.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) also stood by Paxton.

Russia outlines its conditions for a Ukraine peace deal "IndyWatch Feed World"

Kiev should rule out joining NATO and the EU and respect the rights of minorities, Moscow's deputy foreign minister says The Ukraine conflict could be settled if Kiev were to re-commit to its neutral status, recognize "new territorial realities," and declare Russian as a state language, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview released on Saturday. Speaking to TASS news agency, the diplomat said Moscow "is convinced that a peace settlement will be possible only if the Ukrainian armed forces cease hostilities, and Western weapons shipments are stopped." He also stressed that to achieve a durable peace, Ukraine "must return to a neutral non-aligned status" and "refuse to join NATO and the EU," adding that Kiev should recognize the "new territorial realities" that emerged after people exercised their right to self-determination. The diplomat was referring to four former Ukrainian regions that overwhelmingly voted to join Russia in public referendums last...

Sam Brinton, disgraced former Biden official was member of 'drag nun' group promoted by LA Dodgers "IndyWatch Feed World"

It turns out that Biden's disgraced nuclear waste official Sam Brinton, made famous after he was arrested for stealing ladies' luggage, was a member of the "drag nun" group tapped to celebrate Pride month with the LA Dodgers. Brinton wasn't just a member, but held a leadership position with the DC chapter of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a drag group that dons religious garb and poses salaciously with crosses in order to get their message of inclusion (or something) across. Brinton was the principal officer of the DC chapter, Fox News discovered after reviewing tax filing, from its founding in 2016 to 2018. His drag name was Sister Ray Dee O'Active.

Consumers fighting back, with some success, against brands gone woke "IndyWatch Feed World"

At a recent baseball game, I watched a fellow Cubs fan facing a dilemma at Nationals Park in Washington. No, it wasn't the dilemma of whether to cheer another meltdown by a Cubs pitcher it was the beer vendor, who was handing him a Bud Light. The vendor had only Bud Lights left...for a good reason. The company is now literally giving away beer for free due to a consumer backlash. With a pained look, the obviously thirsty fan declined and headed for the concourse looking for another brand. Bud Light was dead to him after the controversy over a promotion featuring transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. The Cubs fan isn't alone. Bud Light's parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has reportedly lost nearly $19 billion since this controversy began.
